Worked well for payments in Shanghai. Does not work at all for money transfers (must have a credit card issued in China). Hit and miss if you use Didi through the Alipay app as it will sometimes pop up questions in Chinese, which I am not able to read. Would be very useful to have an all-English app for non-residents.

I can pay online. But when I traveled to hong Kong recently, doesn't work! Gave up on the app and just continued cash and credit card.

It keeps popping up when my bus card near to phone, there is no option for me to remove nfc scanning in this app while im not using nfc of alipay. So annoying.

Super happy that now foreign credit cards are accepted. Paying at restaurants and shops is super easy as well as ordering taxi. Finally..it was about time.

Can't add International Union Pay Card. It keep prompting me to choose a bank from the list of banks in China. Tried asking CS for help but it's bot answering. Pretty much useless unless you link your Visa or Mastercard.

This app stays open even if it's in deep sleep and forced stop!!! It keeps reading my credit card every time my phone is nearby and it cannot be turned off

Alipay international version is a very helpful add if you are traveling in China and other Asian countries. I was in China for three weeks and one week in Japan and used it frequently with ease. They offer great service and 24 hour call and chat support. You can link it with your credit card and pay for almost anything in China. All the invoices are detailed and contain a lot of information. Credits and refunds are easily processed. You can even use Didi app from Alipay to call for ride sharing.

Helpful app for foreigners in China. You can pay, order a taxi and food among many other services that the app offers like buying train and metro tickets. I added multiple bank cards that are issued outside of China with ease and flexibility with no issues.

App kept asking for verification even though personal info like passport, face recognition, credit card details are all provided. Happened to my family members too. So it's still base on your luck if you could get this app working

Works well, you can pay and organize almost everything with this app. Most countries are still using cash which is a joke.

this is a typic malicious software. it always pops out ad while not using every 5-10 minutes. I closed all permission, but no use. I logged out my account, it always pops out login page. I stopped it in my cellphone setting, but it pops out login page .

Works well for travelers in China without a mainland China bank account. HelloRide and DiDi mini-apps are useful for getting a bicycle, moped or car ride-sharing with all charges set to the credit card entered into the AliPay app. The translate button is helpful. You can also make payments by scanning a merchant QR code or getting them to scan yours, if they have a scanner terminal.

Very useful app in China, but the ctrip integration is terrible and lags a lot. Try booking a train from Guangzhou to Shenzhen, the results page is a laggy mess and just freezes the whole app. Unusable.

Unfortunately, this app is a necessary evil if you want to purchase anything in China (cash is definitely not king) the app is like a virus popping up when you dont want it with no option to change this behaviour (I can't wait to uninstall it!) like everytime you try to do anything, sometimes multiple times while in a different app causing your app that you're using to fail (how can developers be this bad in this day and age) also make sure you download while playstore is available.
