Permissions
* Network communication: This permission is used for the retrieval of the current Special Buys and the most recent store data. Information on the user is not transmitted, except for when using the e-mail reminder service. Please refer to our data protection policy for further information.
* Network communication: Before the most recent information is retrieved, a check will be carried out to determine whether a data connection is actually available. If this is not the case, a corresponding notification message will be displayed.
* System boot: Up until now, any reminders set via this app were deleted when rebooting the smartphone. This error did not affect e-mail reminders. With this new permission, the reminders will be reregistered in the system upon each reboot.
* Access to protected storage: This will enable the ALDI USA app to allow Google Maps to cache the map. The ALDI USA app will not directly access your external storage media.
* Approximate location: Using GPS requires a comparably high level of performance. Therefore, the ALDI USA app will initially try to determine your location for the Store Locator functionality by other means.
* Your location: The GPS location is required for the Store Locator functionality.
* Hardware controls (pictures/videos, vibration alarm, flash/light): The nearest stores can be displayed by means of augmented reality functionality. In addition, many of the QR codes printed on our product packages can be scanned via the “QR Code Reader.”

It's a nightmare. For some reason the app doesn't have anything in it. If you want to shop, it sends you to an external website, Instacart which is the clunkiest, slowest, least intuitive website. For some reason it assumed I was in Illinois (I'm in Mississippi) and it doesn't give you an option to input your zip code or refresh your location and if you move in the map, it only shows you the stores in Illinois. It's bad enough that Aldi has just 2 products to choose from but not even a good app?

Overall, the app can be useful for answering questions, locating a store, etc. My complaint is that the app doesn't allow someone to shop to utilize the curbside pickup or delivery options without being rerouted to the browser. Even then, not all locations have curbside pickup available. There are 3 or 4 Aldi locations closer to me than the nearest one that offers curbside pickup. I would so totally use the app on the regular for curbside pickup. Please update in the near future. Thank you.

I wish it allowed me to select the location I typically shop at and give me a layout of what the store has now. I'd like to make a list I know I can check everything off at one location. You can select your location for ads, but that's really the only benefit the app gives you if you don't typically receive ads via mail. You could always look it up online so I downloaded and deleted the app in less than 10 minutes of navigating it and seeing nothing of use for me.

I loved it checked the sales each week. Then I opened my app and it was no longer in English. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled a couple of times not sure what's up miss looking over the ads. It a 45 minute drive so I keep a list so my sister can grab things as she is in the area. Now I cant and it drives me crazy. I shop through the ads because it is hard for me to travel because of health problems. Would love to get it fixed. Hoping you can fix it cause you were a 5 star before. Please

Love Aldis and the app is great. It simplifies and shows great detail and description of the items. The only shortcoming- and it's a biggie-is that the "weekly finds" and "weekly ads" are usually two different things, which means you have to click one to make one list, while Weekly Ads compiles a separate list. There should be a way to sync the two. When that happens you get 5 stars for the app. Aldis already gets 5 stars or I wouldn't have have been shopping there for 28 years.

This is the least user friendly grocery app I have ever used. Sometimes my saved grocery list is there, but more often, it is not. Then a list from months ago will suddenly reappear. It is very very hard to actually view ad itself. Up until about a year or so ago, it worked very well and I used it with ease and no problems. Then they changed everything and it is so hard to navigate. Please go back to your former format. 6/10/2020

Not a bad app, but could use a few upgrades. The manual shopping list is separate from the shopping list generated by selecting items in the weekly ad. No easy way to integrate the two lists. You can view the weekly ad but no way to zoom in on the graphic. There is a list of the ad items, it would be nice to be able to see the graphics to more easily browse the sale items.

Virtually impossible to make an online order. Slow load times for every page, shows pick up times but can't select one, each department only shows 6 to 8 items before having to load more, you try to scroll and load more only to be taken to an individual item. Hit the back button and it takes you to the beginning of the list and you repeat the process. Soooo frustrating! I love Aldi's, but this app sucks!

Worst updated app ever. No option to Buy Again, I have to search for every item I want. No option to select replacement items. You can't modify or add to your order after it is placed, you have to CANCEL your order, which means you lose your pick time. When my order is ready, the option to say I'm on my way, is no longer there. You have click a link in your email to get to the "I am here for pick up". If you use the link that is texted to you it goes to instacart. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.

This app is super frustrating to use. I only use this to look at the ads and that is mind-numbing because you can only effectively look at one item at a time for a "decent" picture. I used to make shopping lists using the app but there is no search feature, so I write my lists now. You have to search category by category and scroll through everything to hopefully find what you are looking for. It makes multiple shopping lists on different links and doesn't share from one to the other. Awful app.

Can't search for products, can't go back with a swipe on your smartphone- have to use the back botton provided in the app or it kicks you out of the grocery section, no nutrition info from the app. You also can't set your local store as your "home store" and because of that, you can't see pricing info. This app has so much potential and can be highly improved, but frankly, it sucks. The no option to search for products and the back button are the biggest problems for me. Not user friendly at all

Needs a full remodel. The interface is disjointed which made it super inconvenient to shop or find what I was looking for. The menu is just a list of weblinks that don't seem to be optimized for the app itself. Also pressing the back button from the delivery shopping page takes me all the way back to the app page (?) instead of the groceries page. Which means that if I every go back a step, I have to take several steps forward get onto the shopping page again and continue from there.

Love Aldi as a store. Hands down, this is where we do most of our shopping. But this is a review of the app - not the store. I have to say, I loved the app before the recent update. it switched from the sales/specials being listed in their own sections to being listed as essentially a screenshot of the sales paper ad, and it is NOT as user-friendly. It feels wrong and is uncomfortable to use. The other way was much nicer and easier to work with and read through. Really wish it would go back.

Not Great. The "app" is essentially just quick links to their website. It's not fast, or easy to use in the slightest. It feels like an early 2000's app, poorly done, and it's as if they don't want people to use it. Layout desperately needs an overhaul to more traditional layouts, tabs at the bottom for account settings, checkout, and shopping to simplify the experience. I shouldn't have to jump through hoops to spend my money.

Aldi's is great! Aldi's app is just good. The scanner never works, but you can check out weekly deals and make lists. You can also look ahead to the following week and anticipate sweet, sweet savings. I mostly use the app so I don't have to pick up the weekly circular and waste paper. Edit: they updated the app recently and it is waaay less user friendly. Also whenever I go to look at next week's sneak peek items, there's a bunch of error messages and I have to restart the app. Please fix it.

I just downloaded this for the first time. The first thing it asks is for you to either sign in, create an account, or browse as a guest. No matter which one I try to tap on, nothing works. It stays on that screen. I've uninstalled and re- downloaded it 3 times, and it's the same. I give up. It sucks, because I'm trying to save money by shopping at aldi. Kroger is just so convenient, because I can order on the app.

Worst I've seen yet. I tried this app a few years ago. It was unusable. I do want it to work. I tried again after waiting years. Now it is 6-2024 and still unusable. Can't find my store, can't load pages, can't use the back button or you'll end up at start again. I think it is over due time Aldi's hires a company that can make workable apps for them. In the meantime, stop asking us to download this garbage.

New app version is cumbersome! The previous version allowed me to quickly see the current and upcoming items from the sales ads. Now it defaults to a set up as though I'm ordering for Pickup or Delivery only. My local store doesn't appear because of this limitation? I have to look at the printed version of the ad and then click on an item (after I zoom in to see it clearly) only to see less detail than before. Please either go back to the old version or add a place to view ads the old way!

Reading other reviews makes me wonder just how bad the app is. Guess I should be glad I can't get into the app. The "Log In / Create Account / Browse As Guest" page isn't working. None of the buttons or words work when tapped. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, clearing cache, clearing data, force stop, restarting phone. I've done it multiple times and in multiple variations of the steps. Love the store. Wish the app lived up to the brand.

I redownloaded this after several months and sadly it's a bad as ever they won't let me choose my store because it doesn't offer delivery or pick up to find the shopping list feature you have to go to the weekly ad in the more section instead of having it on the front page like a normal shopping app the old app 2 years ago was better less functional to make it look pretty I may use the list or just delete it I'm not sure yet depends on it usefulness on my next shopping trip. Update deleted
