It's a fraud app. It's a trap to collect money from the customer with the name of travel booking or hotels booking. Do not use this app. I personally a victim of this trap. You won't get money back if you asked for refund. Also maximum the listed property are not really exsist. But when you book through online payment they'll collect your money so easily then deny your booking. Worst app ever I've seen! that's why I'm writing this review spending my valuable time. Horrible experience with this.

The app is okay, it's usually cheaper than B**king in Asia. Occasionally, I can't see my bookings because the app says I'm not logged in even though I am. The low score is because the cashback reward system is a total scam: not only do you need to wait 2 months, then request the cashback (why isn't this automatic?), but then there's also a $1 fee on requests under $10. This just leaves a bad taste in your mouth since it feels scammy and you're not saving much anyway.

Terrible experience with the Agoda app. Booked a hotel for my trip to Rishikesh on June 17, 2024, and paid in advance. On arrival, the hotel refused my booking, saying it didn't exist. It took hours for Agoda customer support to respond and inform me that the hotel manager had canceled it. I had to book another hotel at 3x the price. Agoda confirmed a refund at 4 PM. This was my first experience with Agoda, and it was extremely disappointing. I won't recommend this app.

Very good app to book hotels and flights but the price reductions, promotions and promo codes are the biggest psychological marketing Trick ever to scam you into buying something you think is cheap or has a reduced price making you think that you scored a good deal. I would give it 2.5 stars if I could cause it has some bugs and problems sometimes which it still doesn't improve and it loads slower than the internet explorer sometimes so I give it 2 stars instead.

I have been a Agoda user for many years but a recent booking will make me think twice about using again or recommend others. Booked thru Agoda since it appeared cheaper when compared with competing platforms with a 10 percent discount. Was not given a chance to review the added taxes which other apps did not add on in total and in the end I ended up paying much more than other platforms priced with breakfast and with refundable bookings. There was also no response from customer service at all.

Honestly some parts are easy but two areas are a problem: (1) Customer Service will not answer a simple yes or know question, they are evasive and slow; and (2) once you have booked and paid for the property and assuming you made no special requests at the time of the booking you seem to lose the ability to message the property from within the App. That is bad.

It gives you good deals, when you buy them, it changes the details, e.g omit the breakfast option ( which happened to me twice). The "customer Support" is a set of pre designed questions which is replied to using A.I. It takes ages to be able to contact a Human support agent , who will not help you nor solve your problems at all. They say it is what it is. I would give 0 stars if it were an option.

Such a worst experience I booked a room and paid in full inside the app itself as the company suggested me to. But even after paying the hotel has cancelled my booking. And said that they have given it to someone else. And support team of agoda is acting like I didn't paid them. And now they asking to attach documents, fine but the attach button in the text box is not working. Such a dumb app

One needs to be very cautious with this app especially on property in Jakarta. I got scammed. Paid and booked online only to find out that there is no such property. The Agoda CS are unreliable. They say one thing but do completely otherwise... actually, they just try to waste your precious time. I was lucky when I was in Bali. But 2 nights in a row experiencing bad services is a wake up call.

I am currently 2 months into a 1 year, around-the-world trip and my experience using Agoda in that time has been quite miserable. The properties never match the photos and I have been left with no option than to stay in a dirty, rundown hotel MANY times. I will often arrive at a property that is locked up with no staff present and be forced to go elsewhere, only for the property to deny it and Agoda to refuse a refund. The app is riddled with scammers. Be careful or just avoid altogether.

These people are terrible. If you book a hotel and they send you an email needing a picture of your ID and Credit Card DONT DO IT just cancel the booking. They will not hold your room while they take forever to confirm your booking - then you're stuck rebooking and likely at a higher rate since that hotel has now seen interest in a room. This happened to me as well as a room canceled on a different occasion with ZERO notification from Agoda. They offered to comp a new hotel, the NEVER did.

All prices are overblown and deceptive. This is a total scam app! Your search shows a hotel for X and then when you click to pay, it's twice as expensive. They pull this scam in hopes that you won't catch it and by tricking you into thinking they have a low price, they charge you at least twice as much and you end up totally cheated. Open your eyes and make sure you know what you're agreeing too, because this app is full of bait and switch scams and tricks. I'll probably delete. Useless!

I booked with Agoda. When I got to check in. I found out there was additional fees not covered in the app. The hostess explained as well that Agoda doesn't display all fees associated with the hotel. I wouldn't of booked otherwise. They need to be up front about all fees. I want a refund. Update: They won't be refunding me. They blame the policy of the hotel. But the fees were not covered in my booking with Agoda. Beware! Don't use.

I have received som3 great deals from agoda, but I have also had several major problems with reservations. I have had multiple paid for and made bookings that when I go to the hotel, they can not find my reservation anywhere. After contacting agoda and speaking with a live person each time I have had 3 situations where I had to book an entirely new hotel because agoda would not fix it. With each of these cases I got my money back 3-10 days later. I do not recommend. The savings is not worth it

The messaging feature in the app is absolutely awful - it takes forever to load every time, you can't even switch back and forth from another app without it having to reload and it deleting a draft. This wouldn't be so bad if it auto-translated, but it's painful to try to have a conversation with a host in a different language (copying/pasting from my translate app). I like Agoda, but based specifically on this I will be using AirBnb or Booking when possible.

I had difficult time getting started with this application but once you pass all the verifications cycles... maybe it becomes easier. I was at the try when it finally got pass the verification jungle otherwise I was gone. The site had a 'come-on' discount of 10% which I never got because it got lost somewhere in the verification jungle. OMG... going through it via the phone screen was nightmare. Atlast I was able to complete the reservation.

Scam alert! They book rooms that can't be used, offer to refund then don't actually follow through, then offer a small percentage of the cost as a credit on their app like that makes up for the unusable room. Also, quite a few of their bookings cost more through the app than booking directly with the hotel, even though they show bookings as a discounted rate.

Worst experience ever!! If you book with Agoda the airlines won't speak to you when things go wrong because you booked with a "3rd party". You can't check in online or on the airline app, you have to go to an agent. My flights were all changed from what I booked giving me 13+hour, overnight layovers!! I would NEVER have booked the times I ended up being forced to take. When I tried getting help from Agoda they said I accepted the changes. I wasn't given a choice! Horrible service!!!

Worst app of all times. I chose 2 adults and 2 children and when I completed the booking it chose only one adult. I went to the hotel and they say they can do nothing about it. I checked with agoda. They already withdraw the money although the hotel said they did not get the payment. And there is no way to modify the reservation, add more guests or cancel the reservation. This just straight scam. I had to make new reservation on the hotel so I had to pay twice for the same room.

Hated to lose my Platinum benefits from a previous account with Agoda. I had some fantastic deals whether last minute or reserved a week before. Stack coupons and discounts to get the best price. If staying for a longer time at a hotel rates go down, so reserve all your days together rather than adding on to a previous reservation. App is reliable, gave great discounts and specials (many rooms more than 50% off "best available rate"), Customer Service chat works well even on a Friday night.
