I owned this game on my iPad and ps4 years ago and loved it. I wanted to play it again so I downloaded here. They want you to pay a subscription to play all their games. I don't want to play them, just this one. Can I just buy this one? Also, when I attempted to play for free there was no option to play 1 player, it kept doing this 2 player thing and it is not intuitive to change, not even sure you can. I give this game 1 star and will be uninstalling it.

Forces account sign up or login after the first stage, cant even play no more. Fun game none the less, but this is an un-appreciated sneaky little tactic catching consumers in a web of forced sign up with Half Brick. Perhaps if i dont remove the game and it remains on my library i may later feel more inclined to go through your unfriendly forced sign in another time.

Great game loving it, nostalgic, but need improve more spawns are very bad and customisation would be really cool, and more cooler weapons, weapon spawn is really bad, skateboard it spawning like 10 out of 3 games, same goes for mini gun and revolver, and one note overall map is not visible if you do something to improve that it would be way cool, and also fix the bugs, thanks for bring back the game

Yo halfbtick I enjoyed this game a lot but when I tried to connect a controller, it did not show it on screen and I could not move or shoot with Barry. It used to support controllers and now it doesn't. I'm not sure why. But it would be great if you would update this to make it compatible. It would also be great if you added online multiplayer.

Why do you guys have to shove the halfbrick account thing down players throat like every other game and Dev's? Just opening game first time asks you to sign in/make account but you can get past it, but after you play the first round and be done with it it shows the same thing again without any option to reject it or close it and move on further? I'm willing to try it man, just don't need to be so pushy about it making people uninstall game after first level like this.

This brought back the missing memories of me having fun. Age of Zombies was the best game and I played hours and hours playing it. I remember 2 years ago of me trying to find out what the zombie game I used to play. After some research, it was age of Zombies. I wanted to play it again but it was deleted off the play store. So I was sad until they brought it back. I hope most of the people who played this game back in the day will find this game and bring back the memories they onced loved.

Great game! Though the jokes are outdated and so are the graphics, needing to log in is annoying but its no deal breaker, tight controls even if it can be unreliable sometimes, cool weapons and effects. I wish there was a little bit more of care with a re-release, like lan coop instead of that weird split screen, new voice lines from the announcer, new weapons, zombies, levels and so on. The zombie rex would be better if all the zombies didn't run away and the mad dog boss is too hard.

It's a really good game, a lot of nostalgia.. until I had to pay for it. I would be fine with it if I had to pay for a subscription in the first place. But no, all you had to do was just put in your email, verify with a code, and boom you're in. Zero ads.. why did y'all become so greedy all of a sudden? I really wish I had a higher rating, but I just can't because of HalfBrick's decision..

I couldn't even play this game because it keeps saying to sign up, but when I try to sign up it first send me an email when I click that email it gives me a link to verify it's me, when I click that link it takes me to a website where you can't do anything! it only shows you the halfbrick logo and nothing. Fix your website or game I don't care but just fix this bug.

In the comments, they say to reach out if you've bought the game in the past. all the give you is an extend free trial when you reach out. so sad to see these games went to a subscription based model. you will be missed age of Zombies 🫑

Can I please get a refund? The app has been paid for but can't be played for more than an hour. I prefer to be credited by check in the mail. Edit: this is the developer-made-money-off-me-off-of-a-failed-license-app button. Apparently accepted in the developer community as business as usual.

I had previously paid for this game and enjoyed it. Now when I install it I see a request for a subscription. For a game I already paid for. That's called bait-and-switch and it's borderline illegal. Certainly sours me from potentially wanting to hand over any more money for a subscription.

This game was a lot of fun, but the movement to a subscription model without the option to buy just this game has ensured I will not be using it again. I don't mind paying for an app I like, I mind being forced to subscribe to something I should be able to buy once.

Halfbrick doesn't seem to understand what the reviewers are complaining about. they say they switched to a subscription and are making premium games without ads... that isn't the complaint. the complaint is that the game was already premium. we bought it back in the day. they decided to start charging people again for an old game that was already purchased. that would be like finishing paying off your car and having the dealership decide that they are going to switch you to a lease.

No hardware controller support. Original game had it, so there's ZERO excuse to not include it here. It also forces players to sign up to some cruddy online "service" in order to play (when the original game didn't require this). NO ONE ASKED FOR THIS. 1 star until fixed. No excuses from devs accepted. Btw, pPSPp emulator is free at Play Store and "Age of Zombies" rom is available online easily...

I am severely dissapointed about this whole new subscription thing considering that i bought this game at like 2018. Hope this changes for those who bought the game before this subscription thing :/

I bought this game nearly 13 years ago, and apparently now I can only play it for 30 minutes. Really disappointing that they've resorted to this kind of shameful double-dipping. Edit - I reached out to the Halfbrick with my order number (From 2011!) but was informed that "we cannot offer access to this specific game alone. To play, you'll need to sign up for a Halfbrick+ subscription." and that they'd "be happy to offer some timed free access as a thank you for the support in the past" πŸ˜‘ Woo.

I'm giving it a 5/5 for both qualify and fun, but I might have an issue right now. When I try to start the game, it cycles through my achievements, but also forces me to start from level 1 again. I've completed the game a long time ago. Is this a bug or glitch of some sort on the save file? If so, can it be fixed? Thanks. P.S. I remember playing the demo when it was a thing in AT&T stores around 10 years ago.

Just found out about this whole subscription thing when I tried to boot up this game. I, like many others, bought this year's ago, only to try to play and find out I'm restricted like I'm playing some free to play demo. really disappointing since this game is very nostalgic to me. oh well. hope the developers get a lot of flak for this and this game can go back to how it was. can't support this sort of greedy behavior.

Look, I get it. Development costs for games keep going up, while profits are harder to come by. I don't dislike subscription models. However, updating this version of the game, which people ALREADY paid full price for years ago, to follow that model makes ZERO sense. Halfbrick should've left this version alone and published a separate "free" version of the game instead of this. Had they done that, I'd consider trying the subscription. Now? I'll probably not bother with any Halfbrick title.
