I have a love/hate relationship with this. I download it, have issues, delete, then reinstall later and experience the same issues. 2 stars. If I can make it through 15 minutes without it autoclosing you get 3 stars. This app has issues, and it gives a bad taste in my mouth when I try to use it and have to reopen it constantly. I wont babysit your app. I'll give you 1 or 2 stars and move on till the update. Be a good steward and fix the issues.

I absolutely love the content and support AFA and AFR! That being said, I find this app to be extremely buggy, and it only seems to get worse with time. I wish there was a way to report the bugs so they knew what to fix in their updates for a better experience. I hope yall see this and reach out to me so I can go back and listen to the podcasts I love!

This app provides great radio feed from AFR. However, on occasion it does suffer from errors then stops the feed. On other occasions it will not close completely and has to be "Force Stop" from my phone app control. So 4 stars it is :-). I hope a fix is coming in the next update. *Update on new app 25 April 2019: Love the app redesign. However, the problems have increased: 1. App crashes when opened . 2. When cache gets 29MB it crashes. 3. Won't DL podcasts correctly. Please fix app. I need AFR

Edited.. i have looked at making the changes you suggested and it does nothing to help. I can listen to other similar apps without any problems. This has to be on your side. I used to listen daily and miss AFR but this app is non functional. I guess i will stick to the rare moments i can get you on the radio. 1st comments...Very frustrating app that rarely works correctly

Pros : Very informative. Good blend of scripture and law. Cites examples to show what is and is not in good standing with biblical teachings. Very current with world view and tackles topics in realtime. Cons: Sometimes there is a buffering in signal. Had to uninstall a couple times and reinstall. Free app so it will have a hang up here and there but the positives out way the bad. In an era where Christians are under attack this is a lighthouse in a turbulent sea and it's very much needed !!!

As others have mentioned, the app with Android (latest version) does not work for live streaming content. the "Recent Podcast" works fine but the live streaming with Talk, Hybrid or Music wont even start streaming half the time and then when it does it will just stop. Update: All is working great again, Thanks for fixing the issues

Your app is such a blessing as our local FM station is spotty in our rural location. I do have an error "ExoPlayer error Source error" appears and I have to uninstall and reinstall. Unsure if it's something on my end, but no issues with videos on your afn news app or other apps. Stay blessed and keep being the hands and feet of our Lord and Savior!❤️❤️❤️

Update: App working properly again. Still love the content! Operator error, I had optimized my battery. Android - device settings, apps, AFR app, battery, select UNRESTRICTED Update - Still love the content but now I am experiencing the same problem as others mentioned, it stops playing within about 5 minutes of blanking the phone screen. Please fix this issue!!

I love having this app available. But sadly, it tends to only work about 40% of the time. I realize that it could be my device, but it's still so frustrating. I listen to a podcast that freezes halfway through. Or the app won't load anything (that's happening today). It's gotten worse over the last 12 months and it's keeping me from using the app fully. I'm not changing the number of stars yet, but I will if this doesn't get resolved.

Great radio! I recommend this to everyone. A great selection of Music, teaching and news. My favorite is of course JJ Jasper in the morning. UPDATE 5 MAY 2023 I love AFR radio, and have used this app for many years (at least 5). It always worked perfectly. However, in the last couple weeks something has happened; half the time it has no sound. It works on my Roku, but not my phone. So disappointing. I pray it will be fixed soon, as I like listen to it all day. PLEASE FIX THIS APP! I

The app stops playing when the display times out. Important parts of programs are missed. Some similar apps can keep the dispay on. The only remedy now is to periodically tap the screen so the screen notices some activity and stays on. THIS IS VERY TEDIOUS AND IS IMPRACTICAL OR IMPOSSIBLE IF I'M NOT NEAR MY PHONE. (eg. listening on a Bluetooth speaker at a distance while working) Also, it is not obvious that tapping a program on the schedule takes you to the program's site and archive.

I hate to give this app only 3 stars because I Love AFR so much. I Love that I can go back and catch programs I've missed but it never fails, every time I play a podcast, it stops and I have to restart it. Even live play will buffer and not start playing again. It has been this way on the past three android phones counting my current phone. I've got a radio app I use for live play and just deal with restarting the podcast because the content is just that informative and important to hear!

I am a huge fan of AFR. It is the station my auto radio is tuned to most of the time. I love that I can listen live as well as to previously broadcast shows. I like the music feature too. The only reason I don't feel I can give it 5 stars is that it will often decide to stop within 15-30 minutes of beginning a show. I then have to try to figure out where I left off, close the app, and restart it. It is a bit trying on one's patience and determination to listen.

Well done and can easily find items. Edit. For the last few revisions, for my Android device, the app will either crash or just stop playing the audio. Sometimes it will self correct but most times i have to shut the app down and restart. This is all while being connected to one AP being my home router or the cell towers. Update #2 The app halts upon having a text message received. Will search with Android to see if i can turn that "feature"off. Update 3, all working well now!

I love AFR and all the great content. I have used the app for the last year. It worked well at first, but now it frequently stops and I have to pick up my phone to restart it. I have taken off the app and reinstalled it, but it still does not work well for me regularly. I hope it can be fixed. This first rating came from my Android phone and now I have a Google phone. I am still having problems with the app stopping frequently.

I listen to SXM raido, and it has rewind, stop, fast forward, and live. I miss that because I'm a truck driver and can't listen to the whole show and like to go back if I may have missed something. Quick and easy. I've been listening to AFR for a few years and really love it. With the apphave made it slot easier because I'm not dropping raido stations. Thank you

I love to listen anytime. There is such a variety of programming from a call in trivia show to intense study. The app allows one to listen with less commercial interruption and there are programs not on the regular schedule as well. Also, if one sees a subject that looks interesting one may hit that button to listen.
