This app is okay for some features then not so good on other features. Arming and disarming - Great. Viewing cameras when and alert for motion detected - Not very good. The timing for that feature is very slow. By the time you get the alert - whatever is happening or happened - about 8 mins has passed. That's frustrating. Doorbell alert - Good. ADT wants to claim its my internet. But nope, I don't think so. I am contemplating looking at another company.

Like the app overall. One improvement needed is when arming my home security system remotely, there should be a popup indicating an open sensor such as a door or window open. The touchscreen on the wall has the pop-up, but the app does not. This allows the user to inadvertently arm the system without realizing a door or window has been left open. Regarding this issue I believe the app is not user friendly. It should be synced with the touchscreen, allowing for a pop-up showing an open sensor.

Our house was shot and the camera didn't trigger or catch anything, and no it was not due to the settings we had it set to record in the area the shooter left. We called in and were told it wasn't recorded because we needed to upgrade or it was our fault. It was installed a year and everything worked fine for 10 months then quit before we needed it most. The shooter s hasn't been caught because of it! We are moving and ADT isn't coming with us. Very Disappointed

For you ADT users, it's a great app. All of your controls are right at your fingertips. I haven't used the wall panel controls since. I can arm/disarm our system anytime day/night from anywhere in the home or outside! It's great when you leave home unattended and then return by disarming the system from my car! Just wish they would change the voice that talks when you disarm the system. It's so annoying. I can override it at night when I set it, but when disarming, it's time for change!

It works when I need it to, it does what I program it to do. There are only two issues. The first is that occasionally it gives me a notification that the panel is not connected to my phone, but even that doesn't hinder the operation and I can still turn alarm on/off with my phone. The second issue is that I can not upload photos to the background of the panel display.

Such a poor password reset system that takes you to a Brinks site that doesn't allow you to reset the password. I'm beyond frustrated and annoyed Update: I e-mailed Alwaysthere@ADT as suggested and they responded in a timely manner telling me to use the forgot password link under the sign in information. I'm disappointed that my service went up $5 per month and when I reach out for assistance, there is no troubleshooting done at all.

What is going on with that app it no longer notifies me of anything now and I don't get any text messages either, what is the point of having a security system if it doesn't alert you if things going on and it doesn't record everything either??? I used to get a notification and picture Everytime someone would walk up my driveway. I was willing to accept the fact that my other camera wasn't always gonna work but now it's like useless!

Since my last comment was removed, here is a repost. Having had 3 DIFFERENT security systems between my home, and business ADT has proven to be the most unreliable, as well as least user friendly. I will never use ADT again. I absolutely had my fill over having to reset, and re-sync my devices because the software is marginal at best. Yet all the independent oversea equipment, and applications I have has better picture quality, works everytime, and was much cheaper. Lesson learned.

More ADT crapware. App does nothing. Can't see my ADT system nor "control" it. Update: After a lengthy call with ADT it sort of works but with obvious glitches. Motion detector activation usually doesn't appear in alarm events, for example. Sometimes... but not always. Seems glitchy for an alarm app. Feb24. Worse than ever. Widgets are nonfunctional. ADT is happily enshittifying everything. I plan to cancel.

I realized recently that the chime on the alarm panel doesn't sound off and I don't get a notification when the "Quick Exit" button is activated and the front door is opened immediately after. There needs to be some kind of alarm triggered when someone uses the "Quick Exit" button on the alarm panel. Particularly if the front door is opened after the "Quick Exit" button is activated. I hope this is a good explanation.

The app is OK at best, but the features do not work, and service provided us awful. They make claim that services will work, but my cameras have not worked as advertised since day 1 of service. They should record longer times frames, but there is no option for control. We have attempted to communicate this, but nothing was ever done, and service is not cheap. 10 out of 10 would NOT recommend. They state 1 min records but it would only record 32-36 seconds then cuts out and will not record more.

There are chinks in the armor of this system. It's quite late alerting us of cars in our drive. Someone could be at my door by the time I get an alert. Conversely, we get alerts all night long of Vehicle seen when there was nothing but bugs. The front doorbell audio frequently pulsates off and on rendering a conversation impossible. Lastly, if power goes out the system goes to Unarmed. It's better than nothing. Setting off smoke alarms renders a quick response from ADT, not so much door alarms.

I only give it 3 stars because it works well. Only a third of the time. The Times it doesn't work well is when it just clocks and says it times out. If you're looking at one of the cameras and you leave that camera and go to another camera , you can't go back to the original camera without it freezing and saying it timed out without closing the entire app out and then reopening it.

Had this App for over a year and for the most part it has been working great. However the past month it has been doing something odd. At approx. 10:15 pm the Thermostat will stop following its schedule and the temp changes to 82deg, which gets hard to sleep (Florida). To correct I stop schedule then start schedule. Its good to go until the next night. I have tried to find information on this, but so far have no luck.

Several sensors fall off or don't work. Camera doesn't always capture movement. Someone was literally standing on front porch and there is no video recording of it. Takes forever to load video if I want to switch views so the person is gone by the time it actually loads. Now the front doorbell camera sound has stopped working so I can't even hear or communicate with anyone at the door. Can't wait for the contract to be up. Horrible system!!

The cameras and alerts are super delayed when they choose to work. The app doesn't allow you to delete a large number of clips at once, so you have to delete one at a time. Several of the sensors stopped working or fell off the windows, and the app doesn't provide for a service request other than calling the 800 number. It would be helpful to have a chat system that allows you to schedule a maintenance appointment, especially if you are paying additional money for free maintenance checks.

The basic arm stay/arm away/disarm function are incredibly easy to use, that's great! But there are a number of situations, such as adding a guest user, or setting up an automated on/off schedule, that can only be done on a computer or on the keypad, but not by cell phone, which is incredibly frustrating. It's really only a partially functional app.

Please update the app. It constantly doesn't work properly, and it's frustrating. This is a constant theme in the reviews. The app doesn't work properly, and I am only seeing I am sorry responses but no solution to fix the issues. The app chooses when it will open and when it will not open, when it will show me my cameras and when it won't! Update your APP!

App doesn't work or either the system doesn't work well. I set rules for arming the panel at a specific time and it either doesn't do it or does it late. Three or four days now and it has only worked once and it came on late. Adt needs to do a better job with managing this especially when you have people with video requirements. We have to flip between two different apps constantly and the adt app isn't efficient.

At the end of my contract, I will be going with another company. This is the worst app and system I have ever had in a home. The app and system itself don't work well. The system is constantly out of sync, and the rules I set either don't work or work intermittently. I constantly have to reset the system because cameras I have in the back and front of the home quit working, and it has nothing to do with wifi wifi connection. They just quit working.
