The products works fine for the most part. It is the app and the lack of features from ADT that is the disappointment. No backlight on the main hub; the keypad keeps saying it has been tampered with and feels cheap and flimsy for $90; no bypass button on the door sensors; the system always counts down even in stay mode; going to any settings in the app always turns the system to off which means you have to rearm the system; system does not play well with Google products. I miss Nest Secure.

This was a MASSIVE downgrade from the old Nest alarm system. The sensors don't work as well, and the app is extremely limiting. The sensor settings for Home/Away/Night are fixed and don't make sense for us. The "Rules" function is absolutely broken; it doesn't show the sensors you have added to make rules (I was trying to work around the rigid "Home/Away/Night" settings). You also can't turn off the annoying notifications everytime you set alarm. I don't need a notification, I did it!

This app and it's UI are horribly broken. It simply will not function in portrait orientation. If you fail to physically rotate your phone when launching the app, it will oscillate back and forth from portrait to landscape, making it impossible to use or even force the app closed. I'm using a brand new Pixel 7 Pro with up-to-date basic android. This thing was developed in partnership with Google. 2 year old devices like my doorbell camera are not imported into this security system.

Horrible app design. Continuously signs me out of Google. Notifications are all combined into one. Alarm is not separate from other, not important notifications and can't be customized. The system also allows arming with tripped sensors without warning other than flashing light. The user should not be able to arm unless all windows and doors are closed. Bad design. The app UI in general is outdated, poorly designed and in some cases not functioning at all.

Integration between Google and adt+ doesn't work well. I can't view my saved media 90% of the time so I have no ability to monitor what's going on. I would monitor it on Google home which is a much better app, but it only saves videos for 3 hours unless I upgrade. I've tried calling ADT + but I get a robot. They give me the option to have somone call me back, I've tried that twice and never recieved a call back. Terrible customer service. I wish I could get my money back.

Terrible app. Can't turn off "exit delay" for stay mode. Why is there a delay for stay mode. I'M STAYING! I DON'T WANT YOU TO CHIME 45 TIMES WHEN I'M STAYING HOME. Certain settings can only be changed via desktop.. but doesn't clearly indicate that. ADT sensors don't have a push to disable for 10 seconds like nest, overall this is a downgrade from Nest Secure

Save your sanity and take the $200 Google Store credit. This app is worthless and impossible to navigate, especially if you don't use the default text/display size on Android (I use small, ALL text is a single character wide vertical column). Took forever to get sensors linked, settings are buried in menus on menus, I keep getting emails everytime it notifies and I can't login to turn them off from a computer, app has no option. Pure incompetence, doubt it'll be monitored effectively either.

For a new app, it gets the job done - you can arm/disarm, create rules and alerts...however it asks for your pin far too often. You also can't get to the settings if the alarm is armed, not really sure why. I came from the Nest Secure world which was discontinued a couple years ago. Google aligned with ADT for a self service type alarm system, however it pales in comparison to Nest Secure. The biggest benefit to this system is the integration with Google Home which you can't get with others.

ADT is a joke. It is 20 years behind Google Secure. No motion sensors within the door sensors, the door sensors are cheaply made and dont work unless they are within 2mm, no path light and no motion sensor in the hub. I am very disappointed in the transition I am being forced to make since Nest secure is ending. When trying to connect my 4 existing indoor and outdoor Nest cameras, the ADT app says that my cameras are no longer supported. When the promotion ends, it's going straight in the trash.

I was told my gear from Nest would work with this app but it doesn't - both the doorbell and other camera need to be replaced (despite working great in Nest and Google Home app). My experience by itself is suboptimal, but on top of that I just picture the mountains of e-waste produced by ADT's inability to integrate perfectly good gear and obliging users to buy new, essentially identical, products. Not happy.

I only use the app to arm\disarm the system, and it can't even get that right. Oftentimes, when I set the system to Away, it ends up setting it to Stay, so I have to disarm my system and reset the system to Away. This is very inconvenient because I am usually on my way out, but now I have to wait another 60 seconds to see if the system sets the correct status before I actually drive away. I also find it very annoying by the fact that I need to disarm the system before I can get into Settings.

I recently received the Self Setup System from ADT after support for Nest Secure ended. I've spent hours on the phone with tech support and tried rebooting countless times, but the app still won't cooperate! Now, I'm waiting to hear back from Engineering. Honestly, I'm not too thrilled with their tech support. It's like they're stuck in a loop, repeating the same steps and expecting a different outcome, which, as they say, is the definition of insanity

Slow, not user-friendly. Unable to change some annoying settings. Get alerts whenever someone arms the system, but cannot separate those alerts from motion detection or other trouble alerts, so I don't want to hide them for this app. 45 seconds is the lowest arming time, way too long for me. I can never tell if one of the sensors is working. Overall, a MAJOR downgrade from the Nest Secure. I got it for free and still want my money back, that's how trash this app/system is.

These 5-star reviews have to be fake!!!! I HATE THIS SYSTEM. ADT, fire your UI/UX director! Flawed ADT system. The alarm doesn't go off when the following conditions happen: you set it 'AWAY', and after the countdown, it sets it to 'STAY'. Even worse, I noticed that when the aforementioned happens, the alarm doesn't even sound or do anything at all. The alarm not sounding when a possible intruder comes in is a big problem! Google security system was league's ahead of this ADT trash!

I came over from Google Nest Secure. This app is nothing like that. I get notified that there is someone on my ring doorbell and when i select the app either the camera just spins or states the camera is not available at all though i had it an hour before. Bad performance. My husband is the master user and he added me as an admin user. It seems we both hang when trying to access the app at the same time from our phones. Very displeased. The merging of google and adt devices is not working.

The entire app feels like it had half of any effort put into it compared to the Nest app when I used it for home security. Google gave us a decent offer to try ADT+, and after having it for a year, it's not worth any money. The hardware is trash and app it so poorly thought out. Not to mention anything you want to do with ADT, including buying more devices, requires you to call customer service.

This app needs serious optimization. It's slow to start, and the controls are clunky. Don't really have issues with the sensors it's really the app that I'm struggling with as compared to Nest. I'm having a hard time time understanding why it's so slow being that they are partnered with Google and have had more than a year since the announcement was made that Nest was going away. Please fix your app and optimize it. And I'll update my rating once it's fixed.

App doesn't work at all. Unable to delete devices, add new devices, the older generation cameras so not integrate, support is a joke. I am returning all the equipment and finding another security company. No, I will not be emailing ADT. I was on the phone for 4 hours yesterday after spending all last weekend on the phone as well. I'm done. Just placed the order for a Ring system.

AVOID AT ALL COST What an absolute downgrade from nest. I don't need an email every time the alarm is armed/disarmed, and it also gets disarmed for checking the settings? Doesn't work with any of my cameras, (even new) , and the hardware is even worse! It's bulky, immediately goes off in "night" mode. Motion sensor can't ignore pets so it scared the s out of mine. Spit in the face by Google for replacing nest with this service.

Tere are no location based features that prompt users to arm or disarm the system based on their location. Despite the massive deal between Google & ADT, there is no integration between the two ecosystems, so forget about disarming security just by unlocking your Nest Yale lock, like you could with Nest Secure. Terrible app that signs out constantly, fails to load at all, and just looks really bad in terms of visuals and user experience. Nowhere near a suitable replacement for Nest Secure.
