More About Acron: Attack of the Squirrels

**The game is now available in 10 languages! Squirrels and trees alike can now enjoy the game in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese!**
WARNING: This is a highly addictive mobile and VR game that MUST BE INITIATED BY A PLAYER WITH A VR HEADSET (Meta Quest, Pico Neo3, Pico 4, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Valve Index or Windows Mixed Reality) and played with at least one person who joins the game on a mobile device (minimum 1 gb ram, Android 6 and up).

The golden acorns are under attack! It’s up to you and your friends to protect them or steal them - depending if you are playing on a VR headset to take on the role of an extraordinarily protective tree or as one of several crafty yet thieving squirrels on mobile - in the cross-platform party game, Acron: Attack of the Squirrels!, from Resolution Games.

This hilariously fun experience must be initiated by a player with a VR headset (Meta Quest, Pico Neo3, Pico 4, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Valve Index or Windows Mixed Reality) who creates a room. He or she then connects to one to eight frenemies on their phone and/or tablet devices by giving them the assigned room number that they enter into their device when prompted in order to become rebel squirrels that'll do anything to steal the golden acorns using an arsenal of unique abilities.

The game is at its best when played as a couch party game together with a group of friends and is both competitive and cooperative in nature for players across VR and mobile devices. Once in the game, one player in VR takes on the role of a large, ancient tree that tries to knock out the squirrels that are out to steal the nuts by using the controllers to grab and hurl wood chunks, boulders and sticky sap to keep the squirrels at bay. Meanwhile, the band of squirrels (players on mobile) can leverage a myriad of tools and distraction tactics - including the ability to pick up and plant seeds that grow into pumpkin barriers, plant bushes to hide behind, place mushrooms they can use as leaping pads and more - while working together to develop strategies to outsmart the tree in order to scurry around and gather as many acorns as they can.

Meet the band of rebellious squirrels out to steal the golden acorns:
* Zip - quick witted and light-footed; she’s the fastest squirrel and has speed running abilities
* Chunk - the gentle giant with a heart of gold who protects his friends by carrying a shield
* Doug - not the smartest acorn in the bunch, but channels his rage issues to dig tunnels that allow for safe travel underground
* Sim - a crafty little rodent who’s kind of nutty and builds ramps for vertical movement

Please make more games like this! We have one VR set (quest 2) and we take turns using it. The others use their phones after downloading the free app. Awesome idea! And it works very good!! Thankyou! Please make more!! Maybe a monster and hunt the players, or player hunting monters. Just make something that can be used with phones and one VR set.

I cannot pass the terms and conditions popup, the agree button doesn't seem to respond to my touch.

I cannot even press the accept terms button. I played it on my friends phone, and really liked it, and if I could play on my phone, I would gladly give 5 stars. I am from a Redmi Note 8T.

Super fun game no doubt! Best way to get everyone involved when playing VR. However from a 20€ game I'd expect more customizability: being able to choose a specifoc map, more free skins for the squirrels and more. Ideally, I would be able to join existing public games created by strangers too. I love the game, but I can only play if my friends are available

The game used to work for me and beside of occasional crashes on both the phone and Oculus its actually plenty of fun. Unfortunately I can't play it on my phone anymore as it's just stuck on the loading screen. I've tried clearing cash and data, reinstalling (which in many occasions also ends up in error, never seen anything like that, even tried clearing cash and data from play store) but to no avail. It used to work and I was on the same phone and on Android 10 so I don't know what happened.

Needs a lot of work. A join random game option would be nice. Weak move to buy in game skins. Needs at least 4 players to have a chance to beat the tree. It is fun to play with friends, but after a while it gets stale. Would like some tree spells of a sort and then select 3 of them for the game. The maps are well made and didn't have any crashes so far.

Would give a 5 star, but on the VR there's no option of solo playing on VR . You have to do the glitch putting on other players and they can leave . Just make it to where if the person on VR can solo play and add in Computer players.

The game costs $20 to start out with on the oculus store, then they charge you more for extra skins in the app, this game already has almost nothing to it. You can't just join random people to play online whenever, it has to be people you know or set up to play with. So it's only playable every once in a while since you really need at least 4 people to have any sort of difficulty. There's only a handful of lvls and things you can do so the game gets old real quick. It's ok...

Me and my family play this together over zoom. It is a great game our youngest player is 3 years old and he has so much fun. The different characters means we can all do different things to try and work together. Sometimes there is a bit of a stutter or people will ge thrown or fall through the map or out of bounds. Pver all a great game. You play, on mobile, as a squirrel with an over the shoulder view, trying to collect nuts from a tree, who is played by someone with a vr system.

Very unique game for playing vr with non-vr friends! Easy to setup and get into, though seems a bit too easy for vr player to win. The bot AI is not super intelligent (understandable), meaning you need a bunch of non-vr players to be able to have a good chance against the vr player. Still, super fun and exciting to see where this game and others like it will go!

Has a lot of potential, but it really needs a way to adjust the difficulty for the tree/squirrels. A simple mechanic of requiring more/less acorns for the squirrels would probably do the trick. Sadly, depending on who and how many are playing it's either always the tree or the squirrels that win which makes it rather boring after just a few games.

Absolutely fantastic! We had a huge blast with this game at our New Year's Eve party! Definitely tough to with as a tree vs 4 people, but always fun and often down to the wire. Controls are intuitive and the maps are split - some favor squirrels, some favor tree, some are even. Overall a super fun experience and well worth the VR price.

Great fun game to play with friends and family. I hope to find more asymmetrical VR games like this. I'd easily pay for additional content. I hope to see some more updates of any kind. Love it, no complaints. Are there more updates coming for this? I'd pay for DLC to get more features or maps. It might be cool to add an under powered way for a mobile player to join the trees side. Perhaps an under powered turret squirrel in the tree top?

The idea is amazing! I've been thinking of creating something similar for a long time. The one giant vs tiny things is a fun concept. It's cool that this free app exists so you can play with more people, but the touch screen controls make this incredibly frustrating. Please please please add controller support and also multiple VR headset support so the squirrels can be in VR too

Really enjoyed this game and had lots of fun as it's the best one player VR with everyone else on mobile. Here are some suggestions to make it even better: - Make it so all squirrels, not just AI have the whole 3 minutes. - Have some way to adjust the difficulty like increasing/decreasing the tree's offensive weapon spawn rate. It can spawn faster/slower depending on the challenge. - Make smarter AI squirrels. They're pretty much useless and sometimes hurt more than help.

The idea is fantastic here. However, there are some serious balance issues. It's so heavily weighted towards the tree that it actually becomes impossible if you have a decent tree player. The tree can just sit and spam the acorns at the base. The squirrels have extensive cool down periods while the tree has none for it's throws. Put all that together and the fun is just lost. It would be nice if there was at least an option to handicap the tree with a configurable cool down on throws.

I love the idea of playing with freinds in vr while not having a vr yourself! I would have loved to give this 5 stars but there are a couple of things that make me not give it. After every game the screen will freeze and I have to exit out of the app to play another game. Another issue that I have with it is that the squirrels are hard to control. Other than those I love this!!

This is a ridiculously fun game. Got this because I wanted something that would involve the entire family with the VR headset. This definitely fits the bill. Graphics are great, gameplay is fun, and replayability is high. My sixty-plus parents were able learn quick enough to have fun with it as well. My one gripe is the fixed camera angle for the squirrels. I've seen the response from the developer about balancing, but I just don't buy into it. Fun game regardless. Definitely give it try!

Played this with multiple groups of people, and it's loved by all! I think we need more games like this that enables VR to interact with other devices. Gameplay is a little finicky, but not usually a problem. About half the time one person of the group has connection issues. I haven't noticed a pattern yet. I think the game needs a camera toggle option so squirrels can see where they be running if needed. Too many times we run off cliffs because the camera is only focused on the tree.

This game is probably one of the most accessible vr games out there. It's been a lot of fun with my friends (adults) and my little siblings (7-10 years old). Can't recommend it enough. Wish there was some more updates but then again, what is there to fix? My only complaint is the fixed camera angle makes navigating back home frustrating on some more complicated maps
