I wish that this app had a vault of sorts that had documentaries done in the past that I could watch on my leisure. Moreover, what would also be good would be if ABC NEWS would furnish things like years in review as well. That would really be awesome!

Wonderful. ABC News app finally has dark mode. 😁 Personalized interests a big plus. However, if I wanted push notifications about sports, I'd install a sports app on my phone.

This news app will not open. The app appears to be inializing but hangs indefinitely. OS is android S8+. Checked for permissions or missing resouce but did not find any issues or concerns. I can exit the hang okay via the normal return. I clear all background TSR apps. Nothing running but it still hangs. No security firewalls. No VPNs.

Very upsetting that the share option has disappeared. I have an android. This has forced me to now choose to read this app last among all the news apps I use. I also believe over time the articles have started to become shorter, less detailed, and sometimes leave key facts out that other natoonal news outlets share, such as CNN, NBC, NPR, or Reuters. It is as if they are dumbing it down, or perhaps it is editing to keep articles brief.

Uninstalled. Nothing but commercials! (Three 30 second commercials with the Verizon commercial repeating a second time with no sound!) And then a message saying that this news video is not able to be streamed. Why offer the video? Also appears to not have Chromecast support. Pure junk. I don't know how Google allows this app to be in the app store? Samsung Note 8 with Android 9. Note: prefer ABC news but had to switch to CBS app because it just worked.

ALWAYS crashes after playing 2 or more ads. Error msg: This video will not play on your device. I'm using a Galaxy Note 9; it's not like I've got a really old, outdated phone. It's a shame that so many people have had the same problem for many months but it hasn't been fixed yet. Need to uninstall. I'll check back every now and then to see how the reviews look before I decide to install it again!

Not user friendly, even when you just want to scroll or view clips, and not accessible unless you pay for your TV, though you can access free on regular TV. I'm disappointed. I expected more from ABC, though they have become more generic and seemingly lazy over the years, so maybe not so surprised. They seem to just repeat the stories of the week. No true investigative or revealing news.

5 ⭐ 1 ⭐ = 3 ⭐ App itself, 1 star. The sharing icon has just disappeared. Have they changed it to an app you can't share from or is it just me? Videos have always had issues but I'm a reader so that doesn't bother me. But reading a great story and not being able to share it does. Papers like NYTimes, Washington Post have great apps, surely Disney can do better than this app. Now for their content I give 5 stars, it's not bias like so many others are. Toodalo ABC.

It's slow to load and constantly shuts itself off. It's February 18, 2020, and the travel section has not been updated since October 12, 2019. I've provided feedback twice with no resolution. If there was an option for zero stars, I'd give it zero. Lol, I went to hit the "POST" icon but stopped myself...this review site changed my rating from one star to four. I changed it back.

Trying to watch a video is a long and sometimes frustrating experience today tried watching 4 videos. All four videos I had to watch the same commercial, i wasnt interested the first time, or the 2nd time, or the third time, and definitly not the forth time i had to watch it without the ability to skip. I got to see one of the four videos, 2 of the 4 videos i got a run down of today's news, and on the forth vodeo i got and endless stream of ads. So if you want to only read the news this app wrks

I continue to experience crashes on this app. about 20% of the notifications I attempt to open don't open. Then I can't find the story. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app numerous times. I like your stories and coverage but you need to clean up your technical act. UPDATE: Change the approx % of ABCNEWS notifications not opening from 20% to 40-50%. I'm sick of seeing "Houston, we have a problem " when I attempt to open a story. I like the stories, the few I'm able to open. Pls fix!

I enjoy abc news very much, but I really dislike the new format. It is almost as if it is a random collection of news stories. The interests should not be placed first. When I open up a news app, I want to see the top stories of the day. Stories related to my interests should be in a separate section or further down. As, always, ABC news has stellar reporting, but the format needs to be changed. On the plus side, ABC news live works very well.

The app has two serious issues. First, it autoplays content and there is no way to disable this horrible setting. Picture me being in a nice silent doctor's office trying to pass the time by catching up on world events. Suddenly my phone starts blaring out audio to everyone in the room because the app started autoplaying something. Turn that off! No one wants automatically playing sound! Second, the app ignores my phone's settings about screen rotation and rotates whether I want it to or not. Phones let you lock their rotation for a reason. This is the ONLY app I've ever seen that ignores the phone's settings and always allows rotation. Android and Google should ban this app from their store until these basic yet serious issues are fixed.

Constantly reloading or something. Can't even finish reading an article with constant ads loading & disrupting page position. Honestly, ABC, just fix it. Ridiculous. And now, evidently, we're all to subscribe to HULU to watch ABC specials. Great. Another streaming service. How incredibly annoying. 11/22: So now they've updated the app. Terrible format.

ABC News is my favorite evening news program but the ABC News app leaves very much to be desired. I get News breaks in my notifications which is fine BUT!!! half the time when I clicked on the story/notifications to read the story/news, the app will go to the story then it rushes to a index/list...then I can't find the story I clicked on. YES!!! I updated the app several times to no avail. YES!!! This is a NEW Android, Galaxy 22+! PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!!!! When fixed, 5 stars we go!!!

Really want to like this app cause I believe ABC news has top tier reporting, and I really appreciate how they're committed to making free content (can't find that with most news sources). But the app itself does not function. The interface is fairly easy to navigate and the look is professional, but it doesn't work. The app will automatically close and crash any time I open most articles. It'd be better to just go to their website. Also PLEASE add dark mode for the love of God and my eyes

Aug 19 - Just downloaded/installed newest version. Installing was successful and the app does not crash as it did in previous versions (thanks guys). As for the adds in the videos it is no different than watching videos on my computer. I just turn off the sound and wait. May 3 - just uninstalled latest version - shuts down within 5 seconds of opening app. Not good, ABC News programmers :-(. Don't waste your time installing this app until it is fixed. Using Samsung S8 Android smartphone.

I use this app every morning to get caught up on the news. I'm finally getting use to the new version, but I miss the old version, which I could watch gma much easier. The video news stories don't get updated on the weekend 😪 Also, please stop doing video news stories where it's all written caption and no one talking. I play the videos while I'm getting ready in the morning so I can listen to the news.

It's been months and several updates and I still can't save news articles. Ali I get after hitting the save button is that the article failed to save. I've had to email the article to myself in order to save it. Even after several updates, still unable to save news articles. Also, tried to get to the website u suggested, unable to even get to the website. It doesn't seem to exist. Feedback website still doesn't exist. Nice example of NOT reading the review.
