My favorite News app But, everytime you open the App from the notification it take at least 1 min to open like seriously terrible and it doesn't open from the notification news you click on so you have to scroll and look for the news alert you want to see , this is not the case for IOS no surprise there 🙄. Update - recent update have much improved the streaming experience hopefully it can stay that way .

Extremely loose definition of "breaking news". It's like installing spam on your phone. I'd love to have access to local news, but a push notification every hour for sports or something else I don't really care about is annoying and it's all or nothing.

The app often opens with only a blank page instead of news stories. Even trying different tabs does not resolve the problem. Update: The latest versions of the program often freeze while scrolling a news story. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no change.

I signed up for breaking news notifications; not updates on The Bachelor or Disney programming. Way too many notifications that push ABC weather and programming. Not severe weather notifications; literally a daily "hey watch our forecast". It's distracting and has nothing to do with breaking news. When there is breaking news, the notification does not take you to the corresponding story. There are better sources out there for staying informed without pushing programming.

I have the auto play videos disabled and still get errors that the app can't play the video. I don't want the video to play so why is it trying to play it? *** EDIT*** App crashes a lot on articles pertaining to the recent conflict in the Ukraine. If you share the link to a browser the article is displayed without issue. ABC Development Team would you please fix this app?

Great app good for NYC news but slightly annoying when watching live is the constant blue screen with we'll be right back commercial break in progress... And you don't get to see the adverts and have to sit for ages staring at that message on a blue screen which becomes quite irritating and a shame can't watch the adverts but apart from that the app is excellent 👍🏻

Overall decent app, but latest update is causing audio to be out of sync with the video. Audio plays 2 seconds ahead of the video. Doesn't appear to affect live video only previously recorded video. Confirmed it was the app by checking recorded newscasts on the website, which had no sync issues.

Horrible. I get breaking news and updates push notifications but when I click to open the app takes several long minutes to load. So much so I dont bother and just go to the news website to read the article. Would Uninstall but I use it for just the breaking news push notifications so I know to put on or Google the headline since the app is garbage

It stinks always making changes, with every new change comes the same old problem it keeps disconnecting. I have a valid account and I have good internet both on my phone and at home. Why does this keep happening and what can I do if anyting to fix it? It's turning me off to watch and channel 7. It's very frustrating to be watching the news and cooking, going back and forth playing this game of green light red light blank screen, it has to stop.

This app is awful. I get constant notifications and 90% of the time if I click on it, the app opens and I just get a white screen, nothing loads. If something does load the other 10% of the time, it's never the story corresponding to the notification. Going to uninstall. It's not worth the time or trouble to be interrupted by the notifications that don't help me gain any information.

The TV app is all but useless. If you're watching anything while they're still taping, for example, in the a.m., I'm watching the 5:00am stream which I start watching at 6:45am. At 7:00am, when they update the streaming schedule, everything freezes up, shuts down and closes the app. I can't watch a complete episode until 9:00am.

Any article you click on automatically starts blaring a comercial followed by a tv news video. HEY!!! Maybe I just want to read the text and then choose if I want to tolerate the ad to see the talking heads do their thing instead of having it forced on me. I started out giving this app 3 stars. On second thought, I think I'll change it to 2 stars.

Decent, but I miss being able to stream the station at all times with you he old ABC app. Also, this app is missing the option to cast the video to my TV, and my Vizio doesn't let me install apps.

I absolutely hate the very annoying ads when I just want to open and read a news segment or story. It's the same annoying ad everytime! STOP IT! It's spoiling my enjoyment of this otherwise excellent app. Yes, I can "x out" of this awful ad and video autoplay, but I have to do this EVERY SINGLE time. Sometimes, I just want to read a story, not watch a video with the annoying ad that comes before it.

Since having to watch ads before each and every video, it gets stuck on the ad before moving on to the story. You can hear sound "Watch what happened at this traffic stop....", but can't see what's going on. The video plays as if nothing happened and you miss part of the story. Update 8/18/20. App takes forever to load if it even loads at all, when notification is received. May switch to another news source

The app had been good, but recent update made it terrible! When you open an article, a video of the browdcast opens up at the top of your phone. After you get rid of the video (there are times when you can't listen or would just prefer to read quietly rather than watch a video) it pops back up again. And again. AND AGAIN!! A user shouldn't have to keep getting rid of a video! It's annoying!

Don't bother installing, just make a shortcut to the web site instead, which is more responsive, doesn't have permanent navigation bar on top, and the videos can be cast to chromecasr in browser. The only app advantage would be the notifications, but the text on those is oftem cut off, so its unreadable, and they often don't bring you to the article when tapped. It has been this way, and hasn't been fixed, for literally years.
