Only gave it 5 stars because it said you would receive 2 free credits for giving the app a 5 star rating, but I went back and changed it to 3 stars after I received the credits because of how you don't always receive the credits that it promises you for watching their ads. When you have to have credits to even be able to place/answer a call. The calls are clear though, I'll give them that. But it doesn't alert me when someone calls or texts until I actually open the app. You can supposedly receive free credits by "checking in" once a day, downloading their "featured apps" or watching ads. But I haven't received any credits for the last 5 or 6 ads I've watched today, beyond frustrating.

I had downloaded the app and tried it out using their free credits. Then I took the next step about getting 3 months for $29.99 of unlimited talk and text. To this day I am still seeing a low credit balance because the code that was sent to my email did not work. I would like to have help in this. I emailed support 3 times about this issue but so far no help. I would give the app 5 stars if this was resolved. Thanks.

It's so spammy, with bells & ads so noisy that you have to turn down everything, defeating the purpose of having a functional phone. Unless you are purchasing credits, which is cheap, but the point was a free VOIP multiline app to start biz free. The videos you watch often are games, or view multiple Web pages that require you to interact, therefore requiring actions which should be in a different category (complete an action) for a higher reward, instead, the reward is halved. Lots wrong.

I used the free trial, canceled, and got charged anyway! I also couldn't find a way to contact anyone about the issue on the app. A lot of things on there are intentionally misleading. BTW, contacting them on the app doesn't help. They just tell you how you're not getting your money back, even if you barely used it and wanted it canceled. Don't expect the free trial to be free.

I love this app! It is easy to use. I have had only minor issues with it like it does not tell you that it needs an update, I found out while trying to get an important call... I couldnt figure out how I was not getting any calls but it kept coming up missed call and it kept lagging so I had to maually go to the app store to update it, then my phone, now it works great again. I do recommend it to all my friends!

Very easy to understand when installing and using the app and when trying to navigate as a beginner. TalkU offers free text and calling within a certain amount limit initially.and then you can accumulate credit other ways other than paying cash, which I really appreciate. Like if you have a little bit of extra attention to spare you can get a virtual pet Kitty Cat and earn credits it's super cute! and slightly competitive!

The best thing about this app is that you can sign up with your email address or Facebook. You don't have to already have a cellphone number to use this, like similar apps. I gave it 4 stars because I've been having problems lately with my credits disappearing from the account I use on my iPad. I was basically banking my credits, checking in everyday, downloading extra apps for more credits, etc. so I had hundreds saved up. Then one day they were just gone!

Great app. Let's you do things like surveys or watch ads for credits, and you can do things for a substantial amount of credits too, and they really pay out!! No issues ever! By far one of the best calling apps out of all of them and I've literally tried them all! Plus credits are cheap if you must go that route. SOOOOO Highly recommended! Best calling and texting app out there!! Thanks!

I am sure this App is Helpful for some people, but it wasn't helpful for me. I could NOT hear the other person on the line, no matter what I did. Turned up my volume all the way, put the call on speaker....nothing. Membership is ONLY truly free when calling other people who have this same app.....otherwise its $0.90 a Minute. And $39.99 + tax After that, for the add-free option. If this app works for u...could be a great alternative to a phone contract. But only U can weigh the pros & cons.

I used to love this app but now blocked numbers calls and texts still go through. And the text that goes through are counted towards your free daily texts. After excessive back and fourth the problem isn't solved and of course no offer of reimbursement so I moved on to another company. And someone thought it was smart to remove the option to block those who text you all together. If the convo starts by text you need to call in order to have the option to block. But then again the option doesn't work

This is glitchy and consistently needs to be closed and reopened to read texts. It is full of ads and requires that you gain credits by watching videos. Unfortunately, watching videos will not always actually reward points-- even if you are willing to spend the time to watch them, the app itself is so so on crediting points. I would not recommend this app until they fix these issues.

Consistently one of the best texting apps! They allow you to complete tasks in order to get credits, which is awesome because you can complete some pretty easy tasks to get hundreds of calling/texting credits without spending a dime! It's great! However if you want to exchange your number multiple times...this is when you may want to consider pro version..which is still like I think $4.99/mo which is totally fine! You can only change your # once a day but that's still a great deal comparing!

It's good if you don't need to use frequently and often. It's technically free, you don't need money to set up or to make a call/send texts. However, you will be investing a great deal of time to earn credits if you don't want to buy a monthly subscription. The credit earning is relentless and could lead to actaully start buying stuff. You can't use the phone number as a way to verify yourself (you can't be sent verification codes from anyone). Get ready to get beat down with ads!

TalkU does exactly as it says! The calls are crisp & clear (so far), SMS send promptly, & SMS are received w/out delay! I do find the app rather difficult to set up; the layout is confusing. Navigating through the menus, settings, offers, and so on just goes in circles. A simpler/more practical format, as well as clear & concise headings, labels, menus, active links, & easily found instructions/directions could be integrated in the future to create 5 star, A+ app!

when I attempted to score some credits from a survey on this app, not only was I not rewarded the credits, but now I have random numbers calling in on my phone number at all hours of the the day and night. Its quite annoying. Also when I have near to, and a full Wi-Fi signal, my calls are either dropped, or the person I dialed can't hear me, but I can hear them. pretty much useless, unless you want to just make text messages to your contacts.

Very easy to get credits for free, calls work great... Haven't try texting yet, but I'm sure that it will be working great as well. I totally recommend this app. I'm stuck in the winter storm and can't drive to make deposits etc...so my phone bill was due. Very thankful to be able to get my phone working for free while I cannot go outside and drive to get my phone service back!! Thanks a million 😁

Indispensable!! Can't even complain about adds. They're not forced on us. They're to earn free calling time verses paying. Incoming texts FREE! Paying by the way, is an excellent option if it's in your budget, it's dirt cheap. Try finding a lower cost calling plan and if you do, let me know, because from my investigation, no other plans come even close. Thanks TalkU!!! By the way....any feature you can think of is available including call forwarding, etc.

this app is absolutely horrible!! my husband is in jail I tried to use this app because I was able to have a out-of-state number which made the phone calls cheaper on him. but every time I spoke with him the calls would be disconnected. you have to watch videos to gain credits. this app would show you have credits on the account 1 minute and the next minute it would say you're out of credits. it took forever for the credits earned to show up if they even did it all. I would not recommend!!!!!

This is a great app if you are stuck without the means to have a regular data plan. It provides you with an actual phone number, and better yet that phone number will work for many verification needs, e.g. Facebook, and some other apps. The call quality is decent, provided you have a strong wifi connection. Most calls and texts are completely free. They do offer various tasks to earn credits to cover calls that are not free, and to lock in your number. Numbers are portable, a big plus! Good app

Been using this app for a while now and I really enjoy it! I can do everything you would expect to be able to do with a normal phone plan by playing quick simple games, watching ads, and completing different tasks which have turned out to be pretty good entertainment in my free time! One of the only apps I've been able to find with a free number that will receive verification codes without a subscription, and the app doesn't spam you with requests to buy premium even tho that IS an option.
