There are 44 candidates in the shop, each costing $4. Accessing Primary Mode costs $2. Changing the difficulty of the AI costs $2. Also, there is a $1 pay-to-win mechanic called "Party Funding" that needs to be bought for each new game. If you ignore this pay-to-win mechanic, you'd only have to cough up $180 to have access to the entire game. There is also an option for a monthly $6.50 subscription to unlock all the candidates, but you're better off buying a Google Play Pass. Fun game though.

It's not anything like the electoral college other than that the states are assigned the correct points. It makes no effort to replicate the current political landscape like superior games do. All you have to do is raise more money through the large organizations, and it's easy to out smart the AI. maybe two player is fun, but all you do is throw money around the states to win. It's not creative. It's weak.

Unlike most games, this one gets worse with every "update". Unless you pay, the game has become a disaster. A couple years ago I gave the game 5 stars, but making it "pay to play" and now ads that can't be skipped and earn no "reward" has ruined it. Do what other games do and let us earn candidates, games, etc. with the ads being a choice to win rewards, not "in your face" to the point now I can rarely find someone in the "room" to play against. So sad as I used to play frequently; not anymore.

The game itself is very fun but, unfortunately, a lot of it is locked behind a paywall. I'd be interested in an in-game currency that you could accumulate by winning online games that could be redeemed on purchasing candidate. Additionally, I feel that the subscription fee for all playable candidates is just exorbitant and locking modes such as primaries behind a paywall is also bad design to be frank. The game itself is fun but it would really benefit from an in-game currency system.

Removing candidates that were previously free is a fantastic way to reward those who have played long-term. I could get behind charging for new characters but a. 3.99 is a bit insane, b. Not for characters that were previously free. Its hilarious to see that the developers dont respond to any of the reviews but the positive ones. Bad business sense not lowering prices based on the comments. I scanned for 2 minutes and so many would buy more with lower prices. You'd make more $$. Oh well.

270 has all the right pieces for a great mobile strategy game, but... The AI is face-meltingly stupid. Not once have I come even remotely close to losing a single player game. It'll let you grab early leads in big states, and then never contest them. And it takes a bit of realism away when I can easily win CA as Ted Cruz or Kentucky as Hillary Clinton. (And there's almost never anyone on multiplayer.)

I really enjoy playing this game, & I've gone ahead and coughed up the (IMO) high price for a couple extra candidates & the hard mode. Like others, I was excited to see the VP addition, then very annoyed by the high asking price! I am not unwilling to support the developers, & I would readily pay as much as $20 as a one-time, "unlock all features forever" option for this game; but it is ridiculous to ask so much for features per month &/or per game.

I've been playing 270 for roughly two weeks now, I normally play 1-2 games a day. The concept of the game is incredible, for one. The simplistic electoral map format is also great, the game is a bit expensive if you choose to make in app purchases, $6.99 a MONTH for unlocking all characters is ridiculous, I would be fine paying a one time $7 charge, not monthly. Also, there's no Republican primary! AI becomes way too easy, I've got 538-0 electoral landslides. Online is good though!

Love it! Learned alot about as the electoral process and was really challenged to create focused strategies to win. This game is NOT one of those that you can just lazily, casually play; you have to think! TWO PROBLEMS: it lags when you open up candidate profiles (😒) and the game turns off background apps on my phone while I play (😡). PS: thanks to the app development folks for reaching out to assure me that they're working on fixing my concerns. A+++

Gameplay itself is fun, and the game is well designed. My major complaint is the content, which is pretty thin in the free version in terms of the candidates you can play as or against. It's all candidates relevant from the 2016 election. It's understandable you can't expect much for free, but the cost to add candidates is far too expensive for a mobile game. I would be much more willing to buy the full game for $10 or so and get everything than have to deal with microtransactions.

It was really good, definitely worth trying! The game does need more to it however. It's the same game (basically) Everytime you play. Maybe add EVERY candidate to ever run, that would be really fun, and earning achievements for each candidate. That would keep me engaged in the app for longer. Great game, just needs more content, variety, some flavor, ya feel?

I give 2 stars. The game itself is exactly what I was looking for. A complex, strategy-driven, political game, but it's "Freemium" model leaves a bad taste. Do you want to play as one of the characters in their art? That'll be $3.99 each. A historical character? That will be $3.99 each. Want to play in the primaries? That will cost you too. Maybe if they were grouped in much cheaper packs and everyone could play in the primaries, this would earn 4 stars.

I really enjoy this game, and this is my go to game for long car trips. It's not too complicated, but hard enough to make it fun. Most of the problems I have with the game are pretty small, (some of the modifiers for example.) It's replayability is also high, cause of all the canidates avalible. I like the game so much I downloaded Google rewards just to buy more canidates! Overall, this is one of the best election simulations out there.

Excellent game! But theres alot of needed improvements. I would like to see more detailed play statistics. I would also like to chat with other players. When purchasing a candidate, a fraction of that money should go to their campaign or presidential library. Most of all, I was very disappointed with the Primary Mode that I paid for.

I've really enjoyed this app. Gives you a cool experience of what it must be like to strategize in an election. I voted down one star because you can't unlock new characters, just buy them for $4 each. I wouldn't likely bat an eye if they were $1, or if you could play to unlock. Definitely ways it could be improved (debates would be a cool addition), but still a fun time waster.

5 stars down to 1. It's full of tryhards who team up to hunt you down. AND they decided to make the game UNPLAYABLE without buying the no ad. You wanna play a game? Ad. You lose connection and have to rejoin? Ad. You want to look at the damn tournamentrules? YOU GUESSED IT. AD. Terrible game it has become. Update: it's full of sweats and it's annoying when you lose a bunch of rounds and have to take time to watch ads to play again. Screw this game my 1 star stays

It's a good game, I enjoy playing it. However one thing is the amount of unrealism and paywalls within the game. The primaries in my opinion should be free and the elections should reflect on how actual elections go. I want to see competition in swing States without having to start from an unrealistic slate. A more realistic campaign approach especially with focusing on solid and swing States would be 100% better and realistic to allow an actual election experience.

Overall, a very enjoyable and solid game. Two things that would make it better would be to have a more dynamic computer player who more "uniquely" reacts to your moves and having a random candidate button where you can play as random candidates, or have random opponents, for more fun and challenge.

It's a great game that I even paid the subscription for somehow some way even though I usually don't. Only drawbacks are the performance issues on a new phone (overheating and +5 min AI turn times), along with the lack of updates the map has had. Update or at least add a new map reflecting states' new voter issues such as getting rid of Iowa and Florida from the swingstate group, as well as make the party mechanics available. Maybe even adding a Senate/House map not tied to the Electoral

A fine game. Very under updated. So much you can do with a concept like this. Still fun. The biggest problem with this game is the in app purchases. It would cost over a hundred dollars for all the characters. There are not even bundles you can buy at a discounted rate. The debates are also purchased. Too much money to spend to have fun with this very fun game. And when one does pay for the character prescription, the game crashes when trying to select the candidates.
