for all foreigners who in Korean and try to use this bank, just report them for discrimination us. i mean korean can use this bank but inly foreigners cant wth???? 이앱을그냥신고해야지. 아니어이가없네요진짜..영어없는것은이해를하지만근데외국인이가입이안되는건말이안되자나요... 안그래도힌국에서6년이라살아왓는데이런자별을또처음이네

Im disappointed because we foreigners who are working in South Korea at not accessible or allowed to apply for Kakao Bank. IM SO VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

no support for overseas koreans either, identified only as a foreigner and that they cant do anything

As a foreigner, you're only allowed one bank account. That's because the Ko re ean gov wants to be able to track all your income and check if you're allowed to have it according to your vusa. You can't have debt or borrow it money, becaude hey re worried you'll quit korea and flee your depts. Kakaobank won't be allowed to create an account for you. You can use kakaopay nonetheless. One star for not informing that in English for those who don't know and download the app

Seriously, make this accessible for foreigners too. You can't be this stuck up, your business could get better if you expand to foreigners.

Only for Koreans. A big fan of Kakao products but restricting foerigners from opening a bank account with a valid Korean ID is something that should be addressed.

this app is awful even though there are so many places saying foreigners can now use kakao bank it refuses to let me set it up .PLEASE BE CONSISTENT WITH POLICIES

Only for Korean Nationals. Foreigners with Korean ARC ID cannot use it. Use regular banking apps.

There are tons of apps only for native Koreans. And foreigners can't use them. KakaoBank is also one of them. 👎👎👎

Why has kakao been unable to implement a system where registered foreigners are able to use their kakao bank services? Toss bank is a similar financial service that allows registered foreigners to sign up with no problem. It seems either kakao is lazy or indifferent.

Terrible. Apps that posted on google play should have english version even if we can't open up an account.

i was used a Kakaobank for ios but its not works that why i return to android. Appstore apps are not works for a kakao mini card, and even the +3 apps too. Because, card was declined for it. thats why i back with a android Edit) why not to use without phone number and usim? some apps are required phone number to verification only

There are many people working, being educated, and investing in Korea. There are very great English speakers here. Even developing countries have English versions of banking applications..

Kakao banking one of the most convenient banking system apparently only local residents can be used. If the system can be more flexible such as provide services to the foreigners in Korea base on Visa status . Kakao banking will be more widely used (100%)more by many people. 카카오뱅킹 너무편리하게 사용할 수 있는 시스템으로 되어 있지만 내국인만 사용 가능하고 외국인은 사용 불 가능해서 너무 안타깝네요. 미래에 한국에 살고 있는 외국인들도 비자에 따라서 사용 가능할 수 있도록 개발할 수 있게 바래요~~

This app deserves zero stars. Its not fair to foreigners living in Korea. Only Korean citizens can use this app. I do not understand why Western Union transfers and banking policies are so difficult for foreigners living in Korea.

Can't use without Kakaotalk account. FYI, if you are a foreigner, you can't open a bank account; but it is same in U.S. and many other countries. This is not a one-time prepaid cash account but it is a reloadable banking account from an internet bank.

This app only allows Korean citizens to use. Even if you have a Korean ID number, it doesn't matter. I find that beyond ridiculous. It should be available to all people who have Korean ID numbers. I wish I were able to write more reviews and bring their ratings down, then maybe they would read the comments and do something about it.
