even though it's free to play with Netflix, it keeps a lot of design choices of the microtransaction heavy original, making it a mediocre idle game with nice butterfly assets

Awful, very hard to move objects. You have to tap and tap tap until you decide to throw your device. Another failed game NNutlicks. Looks great but awful controls. Maybe some day Nutlicks.

I really liked this game originally, but got bored of the grind. This version without microtransactions feels much more generous and so much nicer. It's a lovely game about collecting butterflies in a forest.

Very satisfying. I've run into a problem though. I put my bees into storage to see if they would make room in my population (they did not) and now I can't remove them from storage. The return button is greyed out when a bee is selected. M Yu bees are trapped :(

Love that I have a beautiful garden of butterflies AND learn accurate plus fun facts about butterflies. The artwork is gorgeous, and the apps directions are intuitive and fun to use.

Stupid. Doesn't tell you what you are supposed to be doing. Less than a minute into the game it's telling me to drag and drop something but there is nothing there to drag and drop and I touched everything on the screen. Also, too many small things to be able to see easily on your phone and no ability to expand or contract the screen to be able to see closer. Glad I didn't have to pay money for it and it's easily deleted off my phone.

I've played this game in its non-Netflix version and enjoyed it, but it's so much better without the ads or micro transactions. These games are great added value to a netflix subscription and I hope the range continues to expand.

I love this game however I've received a notification that it's unable to open because of a bug that the developer needs to fix. Help! *Edit* After over a month I was able to play again but not for long as it's crashed again

Not opening anymore because of crashes... and even before that it frequently crashed in the middle of playing :/ it's a really cute and pretty game, but sadly it just doesn't function. I would not recommend at this time.

Like many other users, the game has become unplayable. I see the N for Netflix logo, and it crashes. I'll change my review if it gets fixed. But considering this started hitting people over a month ago, and there's no response from the devs, I don't have my hopes up.

The costs of things in this game don't make sense. You're supposed to collect pollen (p) from flowers, with a fully upgraded flower you get 9p/30 seconds if you tap the free option. The other options cost more than the p they give out so they're pointless. The next one up costs 60p and it only makes 30p and takes 10 mins. So you lose 30p overall and waste 10 mins. The last one costs 3000p and makes only 338p over 20 hrs. Causing you to have to tap the screen every 30 seconds for each flower.

For those having crashes..check who you're logged in as. I had that trouble but it was because I was logged in as the primary administrator (husband) then went to see my daughter's progress then off to play my update and had so much trouble it just crashed every time I tried to get past anything and it closed the program down.

Whilst I really enjoy the game itself, It doesn't load 90% of the time. It crashes while the game is loading. I just have to try it later on and hope it works. I never used to have any problem with the game and then suddenly it started doing this every day. Multiple times a day. Edit: Hasn't loaded now for 3 days. Just crashes while loading. I think I give up 😅

This is the better version of the original game and while all the sets except the new gaia set has stayed the same, this version of the game is completely free. There is two issues that I find irritating though. The timer on the snail is too long. It should be 2 hours maybe instead of 4. Half of the time the prizes resets before you get the big one. And the other thing is the garden events need to change to maybe more butterflies than just two? Its going to take forever to collect them all

The game has been crashing a lot lately. Tried clearing cache, force stop, even cleared all data. My phone gave me a message blip the 4th time it crashed, saying that the game has a bug. Hopefully whoever fixes it can be quick because I was in the middle of an event trying to get new butterflies and decorations 🙏

PRETTY, but resource gathering requires mindless screen tapping every 30 secs which gets tedious & doesn't feel like time well spent as 'play'. Also misses some details in this port of the original game built around in-app purchases because it's still structured to reward spending real $ on in-game currency, but in-game pricing is not adequately balanced to the more finite Flutterbuck earning potential in this free version. Progress soon feels more like a job/grind as items get more costly.

Simple, educational, relaxing, satisfying. I really like Netflix games because there aren't ads & they are made well. This game teaches you about butterflies and makes weekly challenges fun. I like how I don't feel rushed and look forward to my eggs and cocoons revealing new ones. It's a good idea and most ages can play. My daughter likes to check in on my nest progress.

Something is (still)wrong with Netflix games! My son and I have been playing it for months and all of a sudden every time we try to log into it the game crashes and it's that way with basically all of our Netflix games now which is really unfortunate for flutter butterflies because we use it to put him to sleep at night. Not only are we losing tons of progress on mini-games but we're losing the peace of mind for bedtime sounds. Please fix it because it is a 5-star game without question.

I love this game. It's simple, relaxing, and full of information about real butterfly species. Edit 10/28/23: since the most recent update, special visitor butterflies appear very often between Garden Quests, and now the game has become unbalanced because adding space in the forest or in storage is too slow in comparison to the number of butterflies you can acquire. I don't want to end up having to sell any of the butterflies just to make space, but it seems to be the only option now.

Absolutely brilliant and engaging for nature enthusiasts, this ftp Netflix version is everything the stingy original should have been. All fun, no stressing about not being able to expand the forest or finish events. A stellar game for those who enjoy collecting butterflies. I don't get why this game has not been rated higher. Much better than the greedy original. No crashes for me, but if you don't give it 10 or 15 seconds to save before closing the game, you might lose a bit of progress.
