I've been a Double Dragon since I played it on the NES back in the late 80's... playing this game on a cell phone is quite weird, but at the same time amazing! I bought this game when it first came out some 10+ yrs ago, today's the first time I really went H.A.M. and gave this game some time.... 5*'s!!!!!!

My go to game for those times I feel like kickin' ass while taking a trip down memory lane. Talk about total nostalgia! It feels like I'm 7 yrs old all over again lol Only this time I'm on a mobile device instead, rather then in front of my game console such as the old NES 😆 Ahh! The good ol' days of my wasted youth lol

NOT the game I know and love. This is not the same game. I'm sorry I played dd2 a lot. And straight up the level layout is different. The controls are terrible even with a controller. Don't spend money on this if you are looking for the original experience.

controls are well wonky but the most annoying thing of all is that you get stuck in an AI loop of being pounded to the ground, AI pounds you into the ground again, then again and again and again etc etc. I've purchased both r-type games so please refund me on this please

Absolutely loved these when I was a child, memories of begging for quarters from my mom to play DD and Tempest at the local grocery store. Probably spent a college degree work of money on those Arcade games but I had a lot better memories then kids are going to have from current circumstances. So for any middle age gamers looking for a retro expirence, definitely recommend this plus can not beat the price.

Don't buy, will not launch, fails to unpack files as others have stated. They said back in March there were working on a fix. April 6 update released, but doesn't help. Pixel 4 XL, you would think the game would work on my phone. Second time I have purchased, but still doesn't work so I can not easily refund. But I'm not going to be lazy, I'm going to get my money back.

Thanks for giving us an almost exact copy of double dragon 2 arcade!! Controls are fine, spend a good 10 min adjusting the buttons on screen and all is well. Update: unable to install If running Android 12

Okay so this review will very if you have some kind of controller that you can hook up to your phone/tablet then this is definitely worth the price it's hours of classic arcade beat em' up fun... but... if you're only able to use the default touch screen controls than DO NOT buy this game 2D beat em' ups just aren't meant to be played with touch screen and this one is no exception with A controller it plays wonderfully but with the on screen buttons it plays like absolute garbage

Nostagically speaking this game is great! But you could improve on the controls and operation of the character in the fight sequences. It almost seems that Billy or Jimmy doesn't have a fighting chance in hell when it comes to opponents because the controls aren't as old school as you think, because I whipped the game's ass on the Nintendo back in the day of the year 1988 or 1989 when I was in Jr. High School. Now that's Old School C.V.J. people.

pretty awesome. controls could be a little better, but so can all old games brought to cell phone apps. all considered the controls are better than other cell phone emulated games. that and Double Dragon 3 is always going to suck. stick with 1 and 2. well worth the 5 bucks just for those 2 games

Amazing game but not very easy to play. The issue is with the on-screen controls. On my device, the controls change size and are just really difficult to use. Something broke with this app and it seems like they are no longer updating it. That's a shame since it's such a great game trilogy.

Awesome game and definitely one of my favorite arcade games of all time, but it's not without issues, and this the controls. They are too stiff and you can die for no apparent reason, making this game rather easy and frustrating to play. Such a shame too because this and every other game are quite stunning and great in every respect.

Why would the developers remove the multiplayer feature in these old school classic Double Dragon games? The game is called Double Dragon for a reason. Not Single Dragon. It is about Billy and Jimmy, not just Billy. It even says there is multiplayer in the game description, and in this game there is an achievement called Social Time, which is now unobtainable. Until the multiplayer returns my rating remains at 1 star. Bring back the multiplayer feature and I will change my review to 5 stars.

Love this game. Well the first 2 of the series at least. I still try to play through the 3rd since it comes with. A great arcade port that has none of the old school lag when too many characters are on screen. Pick this one up if you love Double Dragon. Hell sometimes I load it just to jam to the opening theme.

It's unbelievable that the same people that made the amazing remake for iOS devices back in 2011 made this mediocre garbage, no widescreen, clunky controls and even worse is the screen doesn't scroll until you reach the last quarter of the screen which gives enemies free shots against you. This company isn't what it used to.

Great port. I grew up playing the coin-op version of this game. I love the fact that it is now in my pocket. Looks and feels similar, if a little too easy. For anyone under the age of 40 who won't know. This game (including the coin op) had a simple trick to win. Use the elbow strike to take out your enemies. Just press jump and punch together. Well done developers, great job. Can you do Out Run next please.

Talk about nostalgia! This was hands down, one of my very favorite games of all time growing up as a kid in front of my grandmas television screen with a NES controller in my hand. However it was a slightly different version, still just as good as any. The controls however seem to do its own thing occasionally and ghat gets a lil frustrating. Its like if I swing left, sometimes Billy will seing right instead and vice versa. Maybe I just dont know what Im doing yet. Nonetheless, Im glad I own it.

Great game! The Double Dragon Trilogy is definitely one of my all time favorite beat em up games in the genre. This is a terrific remake of the originals too by the way, but I have an issue with the control's. It seems like good ol' Billy boy here has a bit of a mind of his own at times and the direction in which he is attacking (Or Attempting To At Least) is the opposite of where I intend him to attack his opponent, for whatever reason I just simply cannot understand whatsoever.

Decent but could be better. They really should have infinite continues, as even with the mobile difficulty these games are horribly unbalanced. Double Dragon 3 arcade had a system of adding more coins to buy upgrades and extra lives. Without finding a way to implement this into the port, you're not getting the full experience. You're basically stuck with 3 lives and 2 continues for each game, which isn't great, and without upgrades Double Dragon 3 is a near impossible. It's quite barebones.

Great game, love thinking back to my days pumping quarter after quarter into double dragon at 7-Eleven with my best friend. The game is exactly the same and I'm looking to actually find a way to mount the screen in a cabinet so I can play the stand-up version. This is exactly the standard version just handheld. I actually bought a stand-up version from an arcade many many years ago however after divorce and losing everything it's great to find this original entertainment that I've missed
