The game has potential to be fun idle game. If you have played certain popular Japanese game on DMM website with shipgirls, then this is "similiar" to it. There are rooms for improvements, of course. Unlike the Japanese counterpart, this game will drop an item to unlock the character, and if you want to further improve that character then the best items you need for this task is the same items. After you unlock the character, it is difficult to find the location where these items dropped.

Seems unstable and crashes alot. It would be good if not for the instability the game seems to have

I like the game worked with my previous phone, but my new galaxy s24 seems to have issues crashing every time it loads a battle. Sadly, not sure if I will need to play by emulator. Great game, though.

I'm having a blast playing this game! It's the best of both worlds of what I enjoyed in azur lane without all the thirst trap skimpy garbage that that game is known for at this point, and it has a lot of features that I enjoyed in kancolle. The art style is phenomenal and the developers actually seem to care about their game which is rare these days! I highly recommend this game for any fans of ship girls, you won't regret it!

Fantastic game for those who want something different with the ship girl genre. While this is more like Kantai Collection than Azur Lane, there is a bigger focus on real-world history and national identity, which is heard in the form of voices done in the ship girl's natural language. There is also a chance for players to influence the future tale through decisions alongside fellow captains. This is full of great potential!

I expect some great things for Victory Belles. The art style is a mix of anime and 40s pin-ups (which I really like) with a lot of 40s aesthetic, which is among my favorites. With the lead team being located in the US, I do expect it to listen to the EN side of its community a lot more than what Azur Lane does (considering Azur Lane's EN community is basically ignored). While most complained about its "auto-battle" thing don't realize that the other shipgirl franchises are also like that.

The campaign story and the individual belles are the heart and soul of this game. There has been a lot of care put into the art and recording native speakers in order to convey a level of accuracy and care rarely seen in a game. If you love games for their stories and atmosphere then sign up and don't look back!

The 40s pin up art style is rather rare if not unique these days. I like how everyone has voice acting and in their native languages at that. Really helps with immersion. Even enemy designs are compelling. But the gameplay falls short, feels very auto-battley and the tutorial just flew through necessary mechanics to upgrade shipgirls. Art is great if you're into that, you can be seen in public compared to Azur Lane, but gameplay is just too unengaging to recommend

I wish you could replay tutorials or help menus to remember all the mechanics. I don't really understand yet what makes one character different than another so I just use whichever ship I like best. I really hope this game gets more support to see what can come from it Update: After a while it ended up simply too grindy. Characters alone isn't enough to stay Give more Belle slots. There needs to be a layman explanation for stats. Way too many factors. We aren't real ship engineers to understand

I have watched this game since the kickstarter, with the way the it was hyped I thought it would be amazing especially since the delays but this is just bad. The tutorial is basically info vomitting, main page is too simple/complicated, the system for upgrades is adnormally complicated! Resources are scarce, belles even worse, event is boring, the game is boring, translation if not in story is nonexisting. Really couldn't pick another country bc of it. There's no gameplay. A disappointing dream

It's clear a lot of love, care and effort went into VB. Each ship has her own story and unique personality and is dubbed in her respective native language, which is nice, considering most games like this are just soulless waifu factories. If I had to give one critique, the game is REALLY buggy and tends to crash in certain areas, especially logging in and loading screens. Had to reinstall to get past a login bug, but otherwise, it's worth a try.

I want to like this game. I really do. But after 4 minutes of playing, the game would slow down significantlly and eventually crash. This has happened on a number of occasions and because I took the warning a lot of people about the game's tutorial, I took it slow. But because of the crash, I lost huge chunks of tutorial with no way of redoing it or looking up a tutorial online.

It has potential. Looks and sounds great. Unfortunately, all of the gameplay is just micromanaging all of your ship equipment, repairing them between battles and choosing said battles. Battles are just watching the involved ships shoot back and forth with occasional dialogue triggered by damage/sinking. The ships don't even move. The best part of battle is being able to increase the speed so you can get it over with quicker. I look forward to playing it when a new battle system is implemented.

This has a lot of potential but unfortunately the fun stops pretty quickly, especially if you don't want to pay to win. You can't move forward in stories without paying "Prestige" (The currency that costs IRL) which costs the same amount of items needed for gameplay. The tutorials felt nonexistent and could leave you with accidently spending prestige you needed elsewhere or something you can't even use because of your level. Very disappointed, especially as someone who backed the KS back in 2016

The game has potential but as it stands with the grind and unintuitive menus, along with the lack of a way to view past tutorials you might have misclicked past or forgotten, leaves the game feeling extremely incomplete compared to its competition. I wouldn't suggest sinking the time needed to get going in this game, into this game until they add some kind of automatic clearing function to zones and overhauling the majority of the menus to more properly convey useful information to the player.

Earnestly, Victory Belles is a completely adequate game. Aquiring equipment or upgrades is somewhat tedious and understandably frustrating/repetitive. There is a complete lack of input during combat, not even the ability to manually select a target to direct fire unto. However, the localised voice acting is superb and adds a wonderful layer of depth, though there is a language barrier due to a lack of captions. The dialogue is charming and enjoyable in spite of this.

It's a good concept with a good challenge, but it needs a lot of polishing. Weight control is a new thing for me, but I can't see where my ships are at the limit. Also, the way to get new ships is too tedious and time consuming. A good game with a good future, put not genuine thought into it. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to seeing it grow more this 2024.

Looking through the other reviews, grinding seems to be a major complaint. They're not wrong, the game doesn't seem to allow you to level up your characters through any other way besides battles. But the game doesn't seem to have a stamina system, so realistically you could play as much as you wanted in a single session, making it very easily to just idly sink hours into. If you're looking for a simple [albeit not very intuitive] game, this is for you

There is a lot of heart in Victory Belles. Many of the production values are surprisingly good especially for a game of its size and budget. It runs well even on my old phone. The art, music and voices are all good and inspired with a clear love for the early 20th century. My grievences are mostly in the user interface in how difficult it is to actually find anything. There is an immense amount of information but finding and then working with it is very difficult. So far it's worth it though.

There is a lot to like about this game. The battles themselves are automated (reminds me of a tabletop strategy game). The game play is more strategy based with fleet setup, R&D equipment and weapons, scouts, airstrikes, weather, and lighting. Lots of storyline and weekly quests influence the story. Amazing graphics & voices. Cons: mentioned in other reviews, this game is grindy, but there are ways to concentrate your efforts. I get random app crashes during battles (didn't happen before).
