I hardly ever play a game over again. But I've played this over at least 3 times a day for almost 5 months. So addictive. So we'll made. Love the balance in choice and fate.

Great game so far. On my third play through so far but have found myself bugged. EDIT: I was able to resolve it by using a revive artifact. None of my knights were red or had an exclamation mark ( ! ) above their heads. Normally i would also get a prompt asking if i wanted to let them die before travelling but this did not occur. The arrows point in two directions but neither the arrows nor the destinations they pointed to could be selected. Still seems like a bug, lucky i had an artifact!

Absolutely worth every penny and then some. Very challenging and additional encounters/bosses are unlocked as you get farther in, keeping the game interesting. Combines strategic thinking with planning, creativity, and also requires good reflex/skill control to pass through battles relatively unharmed. Play again and again, learning from experience, and finally succeed in clearing the various difficulties and bosses. The replayability of this game cannot be understated. Very highly recommend!

Absolutely love this game. Interesting story, decent interactions and the combat system is very much One of those "minute to learn, forever to master" type deals. Only drawback is that it is a tad buggy. Occasionally certain letters of words in the menus are just not there. Also, and this was a little gamebreaking for me: [SPOILERS] The game doesn't progress after I defeat the royal guards trying to get me to meet the great wizard. Dialogue appears, but then the game does not continue.

Just beat normal mode. Awesome game for focused sessions, because you can complete the game quickly enough (in ~1h). Keeps you engaged throughout the campaign and rewards replays. There's a variety of things that can happen during your journey, so you need to adapt and use your wit to get through all obstacles. Art direction and atmosphere are very pleasing. Gameplay during battles is quite basic but engaging, and requires you to think a bit. I wish there was some kind of endless mode.

Only an hour into it but it's got an interesting set of mechanics and I really like the aesthetic. Hoping more depth comes along with progression (more buttons to press/tactical positioning) and would quite like a way to cut short an ill-fated run, but happy to give 5 on first impressions. Worth a try! No ads or IAP. Edit: found how to finish a run, in pause menu.

I absolutely loved this game! Loved the combat mechanics and art style. Procedurally generated and perfect amount of difficulty. I beat it on normal on my third attempt but I had sunk 3.5 hours on it 😭. Did it all in one time and it didn't even feel that long, I thought maybe an hour had past. Even though I beat it once there is still more new enemies I haven't faced and still more story I have to discover as well as side quests I missed. Not to mention I need to try out hard mode. Sequel pls!

This game is absolutely amazing! I've done so many playthroughs and I love how unique and deep the lore and characters actually are. Discovering little secrets here and there each playthrough is really awesome each time.

Recommend really good game. Very basic and easy to pick up. Has some tips to improve: Give a config option to have fire arrows primary, so don't have to switch in battle. Add more characters. Expand the skill tree.

Overall I feel this game is straight forward and it requires several play throughs to get the hang of things. While easy and normal are pretty simple to get through, I feel like hard mode is more or less a nightmare of a time. You will sacrifice knights and items just to get by, and sure you might win in the end, but those achievements are ridiculous to get to.

A fantastic roguelike, similar to FTL, Darkest Dungeon, and Bad North. You basically start with a squad and try to survive your way through 10 randomly generated maps full of random encounters and events. I love how optimised the game and the UI are for phones, it really makes it easy to pick up and play. The combat is just deep enough without getting too cumbersome on a phone UI. I'd love to see more content added like more random encounters and new characters and enemies.

A rogue like strategy game with high replay value, where every playthrough is always different. I love that this game challenged me, and this game is difficult, but I encouraged myself to keep replaying it and learn from my mistakes. After countless playthroughs, I finally 100% this game, and I have to say, for a mobile game made by a small group, I got more depth from this compared to a triple A title and my time was worth invested. I do play games for the story, and I love that I learned more and more about the lore each time I played it. Even small things like conversations between your party members I appreciate. And the setting is very dark and bleak, and best represents the story and whats at stake at the end. If you're looking for something with easy and mindless fun, this game is not for you. But if you want a game with a deeper story and a game that challenges yourself, then try Unknown Knights. Thank you teamarex for making a great game.

Like others have said, no BS, no ads, totally worth it. This is an oddly addicting game. Varied, simplistic on the surface, but man! Talk about rolling the dice when decision making. Resource and real-time power management (in combat) is thrilling! When you gaff it up, the baddies hammer you hard, and best of all, it's basically always your own damn fault. Outstanding!

Amazing. Can't believe that I got all this content, plus no ads and no in app purchases, for the price I paid. I've probably put 6-7 hours in the last few days, not a single one playthrough has felt the same. Its got some difficulty to it, and a lot of random encounters keep the game feeling fresh. One of the few games that I've felt is well worth the price. I am getting a new phone soon and this is the first game I'm going to buy and download on it.

I don't usually rate games but this game is worth it. This game is very well made and polished. I was easily able to understand the mechanics and jump into the game. There are no text walls explaining how to play (Thank you!!)The game is challenging but at no point is it unfair or punishing. Whenever I died, it was always my fault.I thought I could cheese my way through the game with a single build but with random maps, I have to think about what paths to take and how that will affect what I do!

Really good game. Had to play on easy first to understand the game all the way through, and working my way through normal mode now. Very enjoyable rogue-lite experience. I wish they built in a restart level function, but that wouldn't really fit with the rogue aspects of the game - and if you close the game mid fight you can reopen the app and do the same thing, the only impact is after doing that "several times" your final score doesn't go on the leaderboard which is fair.

Great game here! Every choice feels like it matters. I find myself losing and thinking "Ah, I should've done [this] instead of [that] a few moves ago!" The different abilities of the knights are done well, as every member of my team feels useful and important. There's a great integration of the characters influencing events, as well. It's always interesting to see a new option appear when a certain character is in my party. Plenty of replayability here, and addicting combat. Well done!

It's been almost 3 years since I updated my review. It's really disheartening and yet astonishing to see such a low download count all these years later. It's such a great game with a subtlety in progression. I always find myself redownloading this game every year. Great to pass the time, and the tactics are admittedly strategy. But the relics and difficulty are what makes the game so replayable. Especially with the introduction of bosses and sublevels only in NG+3 and beyond. Great game, luv it

This honestly looks so fun, i waited all day over my slow data connection to download it. I ran into some issues from the startup for my device, words and letters missing in alot of text places. The tutorial locked up for me whenever a cooldown from the bow against the first boss with a log. I believe i hit the button early out of anticipation and the next move prompted me to use a fire arrow, the arrow had a cooldown and the fight was paused for me to press it. Cant wait 4 update!

Fun for a while but the lack instructions means you have to invest a considerable amount of time to understand the mechanics. I've almost beaten the game in the hardest difficulty through trial and error. But the game can be cheesed with a particular upgraded hero. I assume you can simply re-roll the beginning of the game to get this person, upgrade then, and then let them loose. Not worth your casual time.
