It's worth mentioning that this game is actually a port of Tropico 3, and not a new tropico game, still a great game non the less. *Pros*: It's Tropico 3 on your phone and on the go, even comes with the expansion pack. The port job is solid and is optimized really well, runs great on my Galaxy S9. The UI is moblie friendly and never feels cluttered even on a smaller screen. *Cons*: Camera controls feels awkard at first and takes a while to get used to. The timeline feature isn't in this port.

Bought this so I had something to do on a flight, so I loved being hit with a pop up about needing WiFi to verify my license, so I had to buy WiFi. But inconveniences aside and more on the game itself, control scheme is unmanageable and for some reason, the map just keeps flying over to a random spot. Absolutely atrocious, want a refund.

This is simply the best city builder on Android. It's literally a mobile port of 2009's Tropico 3 from PC and that's perfect. The mobile UI by Feral Interactive is great if a bit overwrought. The game its self is 5/5, I just wish it had graphics settings for more powerful devices. Still beautiful for a mobile game. Unlike most city builders, Tropico gives you a structured campaign and dynamic events that shape your playthrough. You have a goal unlike SimCity.

Amazing. I do not think the controls are clunky and am actually very surprised at how well Feral pulled this off. The graphics are nice, and everything you expect from Tropico is there. Tropico is my favorite series and I have played them all. This is a solid port in my opinion, and like any game, once you get use to the controls, it does not feel clunky at all. Good job Feral. This game deserves to be at the top of list.

Great game, bought it a week ago and I've spent countless hours playing. One thing I despise is how you have to redevelop each island for every challenge, after each challenge I think we should be allowed to start with a higher population and economy to ensure a good replay value. I'm hoping the next game let's us explore different islands allowing us to offer aid in exchange for resources, or annexation/colonation. Multiplayer sounds neat but being able to have puppet Countrys would be amazing

Absolutely love it. Tropico in my pocket! Okay so this is my first purchase of a premium game and I've been glued for a week already, at first I held off because of the comments about controls being clunky I would say it's a actually a learning curve for all touch screen based games, after 10 mins of playing you shouldn't have a problem. If you're a fan of building type games it would be a mistake not to have this absolutely beautiful game in your pocket at all times. THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS !!

Easy to play controls once you follow the tutorials. I am glad that this game was ported over from the computer. After a few months of playing I will note that at times it will lose save files, making you have to restart you levels and that can be frustrating. There also has not been any updates since it was released.

Awesome game, Well Ported and configured for Android, works well with the touch screen... Runs great on my Samsung note 9, definatly warms the phone, and DEMOLISHES, The battery... Especially when you're going to get bigger more populations for the CPU to track, I won't play anymore any mediatec phone, And I won't play I want something like a snapdragon 820 { Galaxy S7} I won't imagine it will work too well on a low-end phone and it will probably struggle on a mid-tier. Graphics are great

It's a nice game, but the controls ruined my experience. It is quite frustrating to zoom in and out or rotate the camera, as well as build anything in the spot that you want. I am not sure if it is just user error, or just clumsy controls, but it makes it a perfect game for masochists. The actual game seems to be quite enjoyable, but I can't bring myself up to open this app again due to the painful experience.

Hey devs, been playing Tropico for a super freaking long time. For the most part, love it. Would've given five stars, but I'm on a on a Galaxy Note 10+, which is not supported apparently, and I have two extreme annoyances I can't overlook. Can't zoom out far enough making it feel claustrophobic. Also, when trying to increase income, I have to select each farm, teamsters office, etc, individually to increase income, even with the "all workers" boxes checked, unchecked, you name it. Great port!

Tropico for mobile is an absolute hidden gem in its own right to have and play on the go and I love it. It has nearly every element that you'd expect from the original and newer pc versions of the game and it surprisingly works great even on modern unsupported devices. My only complaints would be that the controls are slightly annoying when building and especially placing roads, doesn't seem to have any ages but it's based on the old games and I'm happy devs have kept it updated!

Very good mobile execution of a classic PC game, while it lacks some of the additions and scale of the latter releases you do get the full experience of the original Tropico. Controls are the biggest flaw which is to be expected on any PC port but since building and road pathimg was always poor in the full games it translates even worse to a phone screen with touch controls. And the UI is very cluttered. Give us regular buttons for menus that don't take up large portions of the screen please.

I have loved this saga of games since childhood. This (almost) scratches that itch. I find myself often frustrated with the controls and programming. I have re-downloaded this game multiple times because it wouldn't open. The roads are the most infuriating thing to build and, I swear, some of the campaigns are impossible to beat (Im sure "they are", but there is no information available to improve gameplay enough to be able to) Yet, I still keep playing. Likely buying Tropico 6 to satisfy probs

This is the best thing to ever happen to mobile games. If you are a tropico fan this is a must have. I've been playing since tropico first came out and this is a perfect addition. The graphics are still gorgeous. Placing buildings is easy especially with the new architect mode. Being able to see distances between important buildings makes it easy to plan the layout of your island. Having more control over El Presidente is fantastic. Nothing has felt clunky or frustrating. Mobile game of the year

A great port of the original game on PC. The only issues is the game is a massive drain on the battery and causes overheating. I'm on a Galaxy S10 and the phone can get warm very quickly. It might help if the game has the option to lower the graphics settings so that it puts less strain on devices or perhaps optimize it to balance performance and graphics.

Great game... I used to play this on PC years ago and it was always my favorite building game. I was always searching for it on Android over the years when one day there it was finally. So I bought it without hesitation and it does not disappoint. The graphics are amazing, game looks perfect. Controls take a bit to get used to, but they're logical and once you get used to them they're easy. Lots of game modes can he hard or fun and easy. Would recommend.

Viva Tropico! I love me some SimDictator and now I can play it on the go. The bad part of this game is the menu lag and controls. You click on a menu (build, edicts, almanac) and it takes a sec to load up the menu which definitely kills the flow of the game. Also, building can be a chore to position the buildings just right and it gets tough when you're trying to pack them together. Finally, the building menu cuts off the upgrades so it's a pain to see the different options. Please fix! 4/5

Been a fan of Tropico and have played other versions before. However this port does look beautiful, it needs work. Controls are clunky. Just laying a road is a challenge. I hope things can be tightened up in an update. There is just too much going on the screen at once, too many buttons. Menus need to be better organized etc. Other than that the game is great. Has potential to be 5 star but requires just a little more work. After messing with the sensitivity settings, the app is more responsive

This is a port of Tropico 3 Absolute Power from the PC. It's a pretty damn good port too really surprised me. The game is complete no ads or micro transactions. Definitely worth a buy even at its price range. You're pretty much getting a PC game on your phone. Update: The game is missing the electrify upgrade for appartment buildings. Update 2.0: Good point and thanks for the response Feral I forgot the climate control upgrade was introduced in Tropico 4.

Very good mobile edition of Tropic overall. There's a ton of different maps, which require you to play a little differently evertime. My only gripe is that some of the controls are a little clunky. For example, not all buildings can snap to roads and roads can't be locked to a direction, so getting your roads and buildings to line up can be a challenge sometimes.
