Im a big fan of older pc games coming to mobile, esp strategy and management games. I am also a big fan of paying full price for a game and not having to worry about microtransactions. Its a really well made port that works well on mobile! I will say its diassapointing that this works on Galaxy Tab s4 onwards but not the s6 lite (even though it is a later model than the s4).

I have missed this game. This has the look and feel of the original but it has been awhile and it plays a bit differently on a phone so a tutorial would be a great addition. It is hard to see the icons on a phone, I can't find the demands, and navigation is going to take a while to get used to. Looking forward to learning it though.

This game is awesome! Never played the original on pc but I've played games inspired by this but not as good. The port works flawlessly, far as I can tell. Ran a whole GA with me stopping for over a fay and no crashes or anything. Really good stuff, 100% worth the money. Might be the best train game on android. (To be fair, most of the competition is f2p games, but still.) Absolutely recommend.

Can't play it. Stuck in an endless menu cycle. Cool "Feral" game banner tho 🙄 Sucks I paid $11 for a game I can't even play

I think this qualifies as one of the best releases for smartphones by Feral, amazing port. Very few bugs, improved gameplay, intuitive controls and just a good experience overall. On a side note, I'd be interested to know if there's a possibility to add some modded maps or something similar, to have bigger/new scenarios to play.

Sid Meier's Railroads is a historically accurate strategy game that challenges players to build and manage a railroad empire. While it offers a wide range of locomotives and cargo types, the gameplay can become repetitive, and the interface may be confusing for new players. It's a good choice for fans of the genre but may not be suitable for those seeking a more fast-paced and accessible experience.

1 star - urgent attention of the Developer Team - many bugs have started appearing in the gameplay - trains aren't reaching the station but stopping midway with income getting generated - game crashes when I try to buy out the opponent and liquidate - game crashes w/o reasons - trains stop in tunnels, money flows in blocking other routes I'll revert to 5 stars soon 5 stars - The best ever game. It's awesome because it's a paid game and we get the full version with no hidden tricks, coins, etc.

Firstly - superb job on the transfer. Really good, all the aspects of SMR are there and none of the bugs. Great improvements to train upgrade UI.Some minor UI feedback: the press-and-hold to open help gets in the way, make it optional? Stop the automatic focus switch to a city with no station when building another station. Use a green not black dot at track extension to show new track has snapped to old. Bug on startup audio mute not working. City info popup obscures its demand list.

Run well, but several things hold it back. Holding the screen for context sensitive help is a neat idea, but bad in practice. During late game, when building the railroads sometimes they're invisible/submerged. Crashed once so far. Sometimes a single railroad would have multiple traffic lights right next to each other. Once there's a bunch of tracks around, it's hard to select a particular part of a track to build or demolish.

Really really fun. My only 2 complaints are that after a while you find the maps are too small, once you connect all the cities, nothing much left to do. Also editing laid track can be very very difficult, often you end up just destroying everything in the area and completely rebuild.

Best tycoon game by Feral for me. After my bad save experience with Tropico, I thought this game might not save games quick as well. But as it turns out, it actually saves my progress pretty well and quickly too.

I used to play this game on PC. It was great now like it was then. Setting up lines between cities, especially hauling freight. The only flaw the game seems to have is the setting up of the rails themselves. But the more lines you run the lesser the problems in the game.

Takes a bit to get used to, and you really should look up the "How to play" videos. This is actually a quite enjoyable game once you get a handle on the mechanics. Takes practice when learning how to lay routes, too. But it's only been 1 day. I'm sure I'll learn. Much better than those predatory "free to play" games that bog down into hours long waits if you don't spend money on "extras" to speed things up. This game is money well spent.

I never thought this game would see the light of day again. Destined to be forgotten; only played by diehard fans reliving nostalgia a from decade old game. Never in my wildest dreams did I think this game would be remastered. But I'm glad that I was wrong and someone at Firaxis/2K still loved this game enough to bring in another developer to give Railroads! another life on mobile. Although not a very complex strategy game, it's still as fun as ever. Highly recommend despite being a bit pricey.

One of my favorite games. There are some 'buttons' that may be hard to find, but I think may just be me. One hint, to remove track 'tap' quickly. Edit the train's consist by selecting the train and look at the bottom right for a pencil icon. For me, I find adding a train(route) after the track is laid very difficult if not at done at during track laying. .. same for adding a depot. Either I have to learn, or hope for an update to the app. Thank you very much for the game, much appreciated.

Fun but bug-ridden. Presently I have a reproducible bug that's been reported to the developer and has stopped my game in its tracks. Will update this review depending on the outcome. EDIT: I did all the things the devs asked. Sent consistently reproducible steps and sample saves. After a few generic suggestions from them which didn't work, it's been weeks with no response or fix. Looks like this game is just no longer being maintained. It's a real shame, it's a great game when it works.

They usually say the game is a port that is true to the PC version. This one is not. It is better. A lot of gripes and UI flaws have been improved or flat-out fixed with many quality of life improvements. You get your standard UI clutter, but that is to be expected on mobile. Overall I do not classify this as a port, I classify it as the superior version to play.

This is one of my favorite games on the computer, despite it being so old you have to use a fan made patch to get it to work on modern machines. This version of it is like a portable remastered version and I love it. I was extremely worried about doing that game with touch controls since touch is usually more finicky than a mouse, and there are times the original fought with me on rail placement. But this game seems to have fixed all that. 6 stars out of 5, would buy again.

Sid Meier's Railroad Tycoon was my favorite PC game back in the day, so I was excited to see Railroads available on Android. I love the game. Love the complexity, strategic play, and visuals, but it's just too difficult to get exact placement of track, switches, etc, with fat fingers on a tiny phone screen. The "x" & "Tic" help for track placement, but it would be far less frustrating if the game allowed for a final review/adjustments and then a "Commit" button. Overall... a great game!

Mixed bag. On one hand there are a lot of layers and scenarios to explore, and despite the Ai opponents not being particularly hard to beat it's still fun. However the process of track laying is FRUSTRATING. There's a ton of examples but none more frustrating than running rail between 2 towns and then not being able set down a route because the towns are not "connected". Since this is a foundational part of the game it really hampers the experience.
