This, Rome and Medieval 2 are THE GREATEST PC - Android ports of all time! I highly recommend this to all total war fans. The touch controls are actually better optimised on the Rome games than the newer medieval 2 port. There's months and years worth of fun gameplay and content to chew through here. For the price you get the full pc game experience of an absolute classic! Well done Feral Interactive! Keep them coming! The novelty of playing these on a mobile device is yet to wear off. Excellent

serious troubles finding things in Ui, setting governors, seeing public order change predictions, tax ect. bring back the easy access buttons from pc versions, you could have them in a pop out menu so as not to crowd the UI. otherwise campaign map done very well. Battle map. seems I cant draw boxes around units to select them.... this is a total killer in a tw game. bloody good attempt, I'm giving it 4 star generously though as i expect that updates will be forthcoming.

Great game. Brings back old memories. Intuitive controls. A bit hard to grasp at first but an enjoyable experience once you get a hang of the ropes. I only have ONE ISSUE. I can open the Rome Shell but keyboard doesn't display so can't type anything in the rome shell. I'm an old man that needs cheats to complete my experience. Any solution for typing in Rome shell when keyboard doesn't popup?

The graphics is so cool compared to rome total war. I love the new animations in this expansion but the only problem I'm facing so far is some minor bugs. Sometimes sound goes off suddenly and I don't know the reason. I have to save and restart the application to fix it. The second is, the glitches and sudden black screen. Specially when I rotate my phone or when I'm sliding down my notifications. It happens almost 90% of the time. I'm using Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC snapdragon 732g I hope u fix it. TY

Much like the original, Feral Interactive have completed an incredible port of the official expansion pack to Rome: Total War. This is the full game in all it's glory with nothing cut out or streamlined in a derogatory way, but with QoL improvements with usable touch controls and improved resolution art. Playing as Western Rome and maintaining the dying Empire wherever you may be is an incredible experience for me, just as I remember it on PC. True hardcore strategy for mobile. Recommended.

I just cannot believe this game can be played on my mobile device. Absolutely gobsmacked that is can be done, yet so thankful...the game is amazing, with crystal clear graphics and sound, almost as if I'm back playing it on PC. The controls aren't too difficult once you get the hang of it, and the battles are quite seamless. I would pay twice the money I did pay for this game, and will definitely be looking at getting the other games in the series. Great work to the devs 10/10

Definitely worth its money. If you love the Total War, it's surprisingly good for a mobile version. After playing for a while you start to get used to the controls that are obviously different than the original. Even though my phone is not officially supported (cat s62 pro) it works perfectly fine. I hope there will be other games from the Total War series!

Missing troops. Playing as Huns. There are times that a couple of hun troops is missing. And after a few turns, they return to the lineup. This cause to impossible siege defence due to few troops left. Same with ambush scenario, hit n run tactics etc.. The has a lot of potential. Please fix this bug. Will update the rating as I play the game more. - Thank you for the info and the quick support.

Overally it's a nice conversation of the original PC game which I played a lot decades ago, contains almost everything what was important in the tabletop version BUT controling the battles is not as easy as it was on PC. Controls are clumsy and sometimes stupid so it's hard to implement your strategy on the screen. Faceing the unit is a problem, and I couldn't find any option to reorganize the battle formation of a single unit which was easy and very useful on PC and of course in real battles :)

Amazing port of the PC classic. It's just like the PC original, complete with thousands of units on screen at once. The only issue I have with the game is the touch controls can take a while to get used to. Beside that, this is perfect. I gave this expansion a go first before the main game because I wanted to see what it was like on a phone. Since I'm impressed, I'm definitely now going to move onto the main Rome Total War! Now. Please get on and port Medieval 2 Total War as well!

Great for a mobile phone game. The control are'nt the best, but you can't do better on the mobile phone. I had a big problem, for example, with the melee attack of missile units, I could'nt quite figure it out, it's not the smoothest control but it's acceptable. I had to ask for help and I have to say, the support team has a shor time response and is extremly helpful!

Should be hard to port full-blown PC game. Very well done. I definitely recommend to play it, just need to get used to. Save often. Also note it is not casual, it takes time. PS some issues: No save during battle. If game restarts and loads it "replays" it, often with catastrophic outcome. So if you start a battle you should make it to the end. Some gestures cover what you do. Most notable the 2-finger drag to rotate a unit. Don't see a way to stop unit in campaign once it started moving.

This is an update from my last review. It might be just me but downloading this involved several crashes. I'm not sure if this would be an android issue or this game but regardless the gameplay is great once it's downloaded. Lots of support including easy touch controls and battery life reports. The battles can be fiddly but with a bit of practice it works well (I find the pause button makes things move a bit smoother). Definitely up there as one of the best ports to mobile. Thanks for Feral Interactive for sending support on these reviews too.

This game needs some fixes and improvements. In my device, it lags in 3x speed and sometimes crashes when i locate my faction members in the map. I got some problems with the controls during a battle especially when locating my selected division and attacking an enemy. The missle unit markers and lines have some bugs. Overall, its a good game can't wait to buy the main part Rome: Total War. I hope there's a Medieval: Total War or a Shogun: Total War to be ported in mobile later.

The controls don't work on my phone. For some reason the screen got cropped, and I couldn't see the bottom part of the game. This made me unable to press some buttons (and thus unable to play the game). I would like a refund, but can't find where I should request one. I don't know if my problem exists only on my device (OnePlus 9) or also on others.

I played all the Rome total war games when they first came out on PC 20 years ago. They were my favorite war game to play then and now they are again. Almost all of the functionality that was available on the PC versions are available on the mobile apps and I am hooked again. Thank you so much to the developers that took the time and coverted these all time favorites over so that I may enjoy them again!

its day one as I'm writing this, so the little bugs it has are fine. load and selection screen stuff mostly. I have both versions and barbarians add several big new gameplay elements that turned total war fans on their ears 20 years ago, so there are port issues. but these guys are like the anti-Bethesda or anti-ea, the game works day one for a one time price. dlc and porting done right, well done everyone at feral.

Pretty great. Gotta love having a TW game in your pocket. Definitely agree that the 'distance from capital' penalty, is way too strong. Makes it nearly impossible to grow large empires without rebellions every turn. Tweaking that could make a world of difference. Also, alliances seem to mean nothing. Allies will turn on you rapidly and without provocation consistently.

I Love all the total war sagas always have. The only issue with this one im having is your glitches and bugs. For example if I click on an army and click on a settlement sometimes the army list is still at the bottom screen and this keeps me from leaving the settlement so I'm stuck there unless I quit the game. Also another glitch is I can click on settlements and at the bottom screen the check to close screen will not appear and I am still stuck in the settlement screen, fix and receive 5 stars

Just like the original Rome, very well done on this port. it did end up reminding me why i never really played BI, it can be fairly boring, or very, very difficult. all depending on the faction you choose and not much middle ground. not a lot of fighting goes on in the campaign, mostly because west and east rome own most of the map and there isnt many factions. still I do enjoy playing the game and doing mock custom battles, just to see what happens lol.
