I loved it at first. But eventually you run into enemies 6 levels above you, who have many more options than you, and they have to screw up big time for you to stand a chance. Unlocks are too slow, made worse by not starting with low level elemental counters (poison, lightning, anti-jar), and that is again made worse by the map design which places damage boosts in spots to protect 2 points, and spawn near that, encouraging heavy defensive play. Unfortunate. Still better than most like this.

very unique, creative and weird game. been playing it for quite some time. got to a decently high level and very addicted. it isn't p2w because your strategies are what is important, but you also have to be aware of what your opponent is doing and may have to change your strategy. certain microtransactions feel rewarding, although some could use a boost, like a much higher chance of getting a new phobie or 100%, instead of getting a bunch of common cards. hope this game is around a long time.

Very interesting gameplay. Tactical and not luck based at all. The one big problem is that there is nothing forcing players from finishing a match, and you wind up with a lot of unfinished matches that are abandoned when the other player knows he's about to lose. Edit: it doesn't matter too much if people don't finish a forgone game, as you are given the accumulated rewards after a couple of days. Brilliant gameplay. Really good execution.

The game is pretty fun. It's unique strategy game with a really nice art style It's really addicting. It's extremely slow to upgrade and get new phobies due to the pay to win aspect. The main issue I have is this problem where after a certain amount of time playing the game, the game just crashes whenever I load up a match. Just a black screen and then it crashes. The only thing that fixed this was installing the game on a new phone and even then the game ran into this issue. Disappointing.

The art is amazing. The imagination that went into each fighter is just fascinating. The transitions and videos throughout are equally impressive. Update (3* up to 4*): While the contents of my original criticism regarding the new Ads remain, I find myself still enjoying the game regardless. They are not as intrusive as the sticker shock, but I hope this isn't the trend for the game. Developer response shows a willingness to listen, and it's appreciated.

I love the game, great gameplay. The things holding it back is the lack of access to new cards, the mobile game features, and the bad quest system. The mobile game features are horrible. 1. There are caps to rewards gained. They are telling me to come back and play later. 2. Why upgrade cards? That just puts people at a higher level for playing the game longer. Bad quests: These are hard to complete, with one usually quests relying on the opponent to play a type of card for you to kill. 4/5

it's a good game, really fun when your opponent actually sumits a turn. But it sucks that your opponent waits till your game expires and makes you lose the game completely. I feel like starting multiple games mechanic should be improved so less like these situations happens, because it just makes the game unplayable. But overall good game with its other feature.

I find myself eager to play this game every day. Its very challenging and it really makes you focus. I honestly feel smarter after playing long term. The art is absolutely amazing, the animations are smooth and eerie, and each card has its own use/personality. I actually find myself wanting to spend $ on their deals but they never put them up! TAKE MY MONEY! I wanna support more stuff like this! Such an amazing game thank you devs.

The good: The theme, art, animation, are fantastic. The game is very strategic, to the point where the better player will usually win even with a stat disadvantage (this lessens the effect of pay to win). The gameplay is fun and rewarding. Async mode is great if you're short on time. The bad: Growing your collection is INCREDIBLY slow. You need patience for this one, unless you're willing to shell out cash. The turn timer on the arena mode is too short for how big brain this game can be.

The game is super addicting the only thing I wish is that there was a little more interaction with other players a simple (good game) button to show you enjoyed the match and the other players tactics would be great!❤ There. Are . No. Damn. Ads!! I've never been happier🤩 all the currency in the game is earned or bought but other than that no watching annoying Ads to get currency or play multiple matches. And there's no time limit. I.e you don't have to wait a cooldown period to play matches.

I've seen this game many times on ads and i just thought it wasnt gonna be that fun but it sure does look cool i'll give it that. So when i decided to go ahead n download it, it was actually quite interesting with the whole async battles to pass ur turn over and wait for the opponent to play their move while your busy doing other stuff. If you want to continue battling non-stop then you can play arena against someone to see who wins either by heart destroyed or all phobies defeated.

This game is the one of the only games in my entire gaming career that have gotten my attention and support to the level of being the 1st game that I leave with a 5☆ review. Not only having very good graphics and artwork, but everything from having no ads, being easy to play, playing multiple matches at once, good tutorial for beginners, rewards for completing matches, account back up, variety of phobies and usage etc. (Suggestion: Lowering the max time for a turn which is up to 2 days).

The game in its concept, theme, and gameplay is 5 stars. There are very very large issues, however, that make it very dry and frustrating after playing it for a bit. The game is highly competitive while also pay to win. The card levels are designed to be steep and rewarding for paying players. This wouldn't be as bad if they didn't continue to update the game in favor of heavy buyers (new rare cards, max level up) while still only having one gamemode and weak challenges and replayability.

Unique characters and good game mechanics. But after reaching"the sum of all fears" and sinking in $200 plus dollars(to just get a variety of phobies ,barley any).Everything just gets repeatable. Also, as a level 57, all I face is level 80 plus levels. I dominate half the match, and then it becomes a game of numbers.High-level phobies are sponges ,3 range phobies are so annoying to deal with(without the right phobies), and new phobies are rare to come by.Its only fun as a beginner.

This game combines strategy with fun and unique monsters to take out your opponents. It is a very addicting game, in a good way. You can choose to compete in the fast async battles that allow you to make your move and exit the game and continue on with your day, or you can choose to jump into the arenas to play live 1v1 matches that take longer. The phobies have very fun and unique abilities that make you want to collect more!

Absolutely nothing wrong with the game besides the draw rates and how slowly grinding for a card pack can be. But I've never been able to stop playing this game, it's amazingly simple enough in a way like learning chess but with pieces that can use their own special abilities. It's just that strategic planning and making sure that your turns are carried out with critical thinking and then the awesome monster design and the fact that maps change every week for new strategies to win.....

I really wanted to get back to enjoying the game, but it's been VERY unkind to me. First of all, The Pyro Abyss is a terrible map! It's way too easy to reach the heart and destroy it. Secondly, the matchmaking is a hot mess. Three times in a row, I was paired with people who were at higher levels than me. Finally, as usual, the packs are awful. I end up getting one or two new units... and that's it. The rest are just pieces for characters I already have. Something needs to happen about all this.

It's a wonderful game... with a tragic downfall. I love it, up until Horrors 1. And then the game becomes painstakingly, pay 2 win. You can play as best as you can, but you will still get steamrolled by some no skill knucklehead with all phobies 8+ levels higher than you. And I'm a very good player as well, easily winning most fair games, I don't mind losing at all either, unless I feel cheated.

Very good game. The single player stuff is fun and challenging, and the multi-player modes are well done. I like the option of asynchronous combat or live combat. If you don't spend money(like me, I'm broke lol) on the game you can still get far. As a decent player you can get far even with low level Phobies, though not getting what you want from packs is annoying. Some ideas for devs: Map idea: "Mothership" A large Map with teleporters north and south of the heart, and a medbay in the center.

It's a good game but players in the arena abuse the ability to undo moves made and they will do nothing but hit the undo move button over and over again until they figure out how to win using no skill but to undo all the moves they've made and remake them in different ways. This needs to be changed so that there are a limited number of uses of undoing moves made.
