A dystopian document thriller.
The award-winning, critically-acclaimed border inspector game.

______________________________________

The communist state of Arstotzka has just ended a 6-year war with neighboring Kolechia and reclaimed its rightful half of the border town, Grestin.

Your job as immigration inspector is to control the flow of people entering the Arstotzkan side of Grestin from Kolechia. Among the throngs of immigrants and visitors looking for work are hidden smugglers, spies, and terrorists.

Using only the documents provided by travelers and the Ministry of Admission's primitive inspect, search, and fingerprint systems you must decide who can enter Arstotzka and who will be turned away or arrested.

I love this on pc and wanted to try it on mobile too. The layout is different which is expected, but I can't get past the fact you are stuck looking at the notice, audio script file, or the rule book when not looking at passports/tickets/etc. I want to close them out and have a blank space to look at unless I click something directly to look at. Please allow this and I'll give 5 stars.

I used to play this game a lot on PC and I think it was also on IOS. But it was sad to see it not being available for Android. However, when I saw it finally making it in the google playstore, I didn't hesitate to buy this game again. So good to see this game on mobile! I just wish there was a landscape mode. And I don't understand why you can't double tap on something to quickly highlight discrepancies like on PC. But that's fine I guess.

This is a fine Android port, except there's one bug that bothers me the most. Whenever I open another app temporarily w/o closing the game, the game OST is muted after I came back. It also happens whenever I get a pop-up notification. Again, this game runs pretty fine, but please fix this annoying issue, Thx.

Extremely faithful to the desktop version. The music and sounds are still great, the gameplay is near identical, and the citizens are still just as grumpy as before. As for the gameplay itself, it's pretty fun. There's something satisfying about stamping passports.

Great game but it has a really annoying bug where the sound stops working every time you get interrupted by another app. You then have to reset the game, losing your current progress. This is super annoying as every time I get a token, google play games interrupts the app to ask me to set up an account. I don't want an account, I just want to play the game I bought! I hope this bug gets fixed.

Great game but, there's this strange unfixable glitch I get when the megaphone thing(I'm dumb) at the top of your booth does not work. This means that I cannot call people in to my booth, making it impossible to progress and play the game. I've found that the only way to fix this glitch is to uninstall the game, then re install it, which makes you lose all your progress. But this can STILL happen after re installing the game for me. I wish it could be fixed then this would be a perfect game.

One of my favourite PC games comes to Android mobile at last and the experience does not disappoint. All of the controls translate well to the mobile version; some have been adapted appropriately to touchscreen inputs, allowing smooth gameplay despite the compact screen viewing area (a challenge even at the original computer version's inception). Overall, still a very fun, engrossing, challenging, visually unique experience whose story is thought-provoking and full of heart. A true achievement.

Good game, great atmosphere, engaging twists and turns in the plot and has replay value. It would be nice if Endless Mode had day breaks and household management like Story Mode does. Not sure why I have to disable vibration every time I start the game? The other options save without issue.. mildly annoying but the game is great overall.

Of all the indie PC games to get a mobile port none could be more fitting. As well, the effort that was put into a more mobile-friendly design, featuring unique models, sounds, systems and more is great. I imagine the original PC version would have worked fine, but who but Lucas Pope would put in that kind of effort to make a better experience for all players.

As someone who has seen others play this game and not having a PC or laptop with steam, I was super excited to play it - it is just as good mobile as on steam. For anyone who hasn't seen/played it before, it is an amazing game that explores the concept of obeying orders to help yourself or risking it all to help others. It also explores a group rebelling against an overpowering government. It additionally has a mode where you can simply check documents as well. This is a must play game.

As someone who loved the game since kubzscouts or jay played it many years ago, I was joyed that I found it on mobile as it's more accessible than playing on my computer, this port is very good, it changes the booth upgrades to fit playing without a keyboard and using your hands/fingers. It also keeps most events from the original computer game, which is nice as some ports change events. I honestly recommend the game if you enjoy detailed semi-repetitive game play that does not get boring!

3rd time purchasing this pleasingly difficult game. I love Lucas Pope's titles because they remove the possibility of perfection; the game mechanic requires speed and precision, and you still end up having to make tough choices with your limited resources. I do wish that there were a few more seconds a day because of the need to swipe around the mobile screen instead of having more desk space on desktop.

So happy that this is on the Google Play store! I've seen some of my fav YouTubers play this & I always wanted to try it myself, but don't have a gaming computer. Nor do I have Steam. Now that I've been able to play it, it's fun! A little intense at times, but as I've watched the gameplay b4, this was expected. I really like the characters. Especially the storylines of certain ones. The only change I'd make is probs just to emphasize the 3 bullets in the tranquilizer gun.

I absolutely love the game, the artstyle and gameplay are just magnificent. My only problem is that at least once per in-game day the game will just randomly have a frame rate crash and can only be fixed when exiting out of the app and opening it back up. I'm glad the game saves after every person because if it didn't this game would be practically unplayable. However this is a simple bug fix and once that's out of the way you're working with an easy 5 star game here.

This game is frustrating, but in a good way. Having to focus on the repetitive daily task of (you guessed it) checking papers while also watching the story unfold and somehow controlling the fate of a nation (or at the very least your family) from behind a desk is a really cool concept. It's harder than you think though. Took me about eight tries before I reached an ending that didn't have me dead or in prison. Will be trying again to get other good endings since there are like 150.

An incredible game ported to mobile and I think it still stands as incredible. I wasn't sure how they would accomplish it but they managed to, the game feels smooth and polished and I feel like I can move just as fast as on PC. Now for the game itself, I personally love it. The game has a great dystopian style, both in story and gameplay. The game is all about checking documents for accurate information and comparing it with other documents at a border checkpoint. Your speed is everything.

This is a great game and they did a very good job making it work on smaller touch screens. This version is much harder than the PC since the desk space is so limited and you have to constantly swipe between the documents and sometimes the documents aren't right next to each other when comparing data. 4 stars because I think adding one more minute for each day would make it more manageable and on par with the difficulty of the incredible PC version.

Just as addictive here as it is on PC. This mobile port's layout works well without sacrificing much flavor. The original layout is also available through the options menu if you prefer it. For the mobile layout I would like an option to flip the booth horizontally. My reason being that I don't like pulling down on the hoop to stamp the passports with my left thumb. I want the hoop to come down on the right side instead. Petty request but I would prefer that.

This is an outstanding port. The gameplay is faithful to the original desktop version, with enough modifications to make it touch-friendly and suitable for portrait mode. The "kachunck" of the passport stamp is still just as satisfying, as is the frustration of hearing the dot-matrix printer, when you realize you missed something. Highly recommended!

Great game, and as good a mobile port as you could probably have, but ultimately I feel like the small space of a phone isn't as nice as a big screen. Going through the various documents you have is a bit clunky. In the desktop port, the player can organize as they see fit, but here we're forced into a certain organization that's intentionally slightly inconvenient. Gripes aside, it is still enjoyable and is great to pick up and play a few minutes anywhere.
