The game doesn't even run. The text just takes up a small corner of my phone screen and I can't interact with it.

Used to be great, shoehorning story aside, went for another playthrough but... there's no longer a gender choice for my character, male, female, neutral, NOTHING what so ever, giving it 1 Star til they patch it. Sure hope it's a bug.

Pretty good game! I like that it has the two sequels. Of course you must buy the last two. Wish they were a few dollars less. But overall I would recommend this game to anyone who likes superheroes.

I didn't feel like I had much freedom when I played this. The romantic subplots are handled very poorly, and the protagonist's backstory is too set-in-stone for this to be a real Choice Of game.

I've played a lot of Choice Of games and this is by far the worst among them. There are no actual choices in this game. You have the option to select one thing or another but the following page will always provide the same exact result. A love interest exists in the game too but the gender doesn't change depending on your own and they give off a very.. rapey vibe. The author should've just wrote a short story since that's all this is.

"Hero or villian" did a better job at making you feel like a hero or villian. I can tell the author had a fun story thwy wanted to write, and thats okay to have your own vision, but i found the choices you make in this game are mostly cosmetic save for the epilogue which wont come into play much in the sequal. The spiderman vibe of trying to be a hero and failing at every opportunity because of extrenuating circumstances and being blamed for it are overhearing.

Zachary Sergi (the author) has managed to do something in this trilogy of stories that doesn't often happen to me, he made me genuinely care about the characters. While, yes I do believe that the choices in this one don't really matter at first, they do matter in the long run over the three stories. I truly recommended this series to anyone that enjoys actions superhero stories and if you just like a thrilling story or rant sure where you stand on them I say give it a go anyway, you might just like it

Wonderful! Fantastic story, meaningful choices, deep characterisation, great replay value and the story itself is extremely well written. It's emotionally engaging, so that you become deeply immersed in the story world.

I enjoyed the game... sort of. It's not like the writing was bad or lazy, just.. that it felt really narrow in what you 'should' or could do. With the legend system, while I see the goal, it feels like it wants you to be a very specific type of character, enforced more so by the 'romance'. The sole romance option is almost nauseatingly 2 dimensional, and says you like this person before you even have a choice to... Not. Adding on, the way they address lgbt+ things are almost superficial. I've seen others complain about it being shoved down their throats, but to me it feels like it was put in last minute, feels basically like the creator doesn't actually care or know anything about the subject (like calling it orientationism which is like they're afraid of using actual terms)... it just feels gross, how it's included. I'm a gay trans guy and this just bugged tf outta me. I just didn't enjoy it. It's not bad, but just very.. set in stone story for yourself. What you choose doesn't change much besides end game rating, which wasn't satisfying like it should have been... Bonus.. the cheat sheet is extra money, when it's typically a community effort to find their best endings, or at least fun ones. Tldr I'd get a refund because a few disgruntled and spiteful playthroughs later, I can't bring myself to remotely like it, but ofc that's not an option. It just feels shallow.

The story was interesting enough and I enjoyed many of the characters. That said, I would happily punch my character in the face. The way he'd gush over every hero that would appear on screen made me cringe so hard. Plus the fact that any time he entered a fight he always seemed to humiliate himself, no matter what I tried. It felt like I had no control on my character's personality or actions and it is very frustrating.

Experience this story to experience the other two. This one is an intro, a beginning, and really only sets the foundation for the adventure that unfolds in "The Hero Peoject" and "Herofall". The Prodigy is only the beginning and sets the tone for everything else that happens.

Surprisingly really exciting and innovative. Although, with a genre such as Superheroes, it would be better if the reader gets to customise their powers/skill sets and approach to problems instead of set-in-stone powers. That would definitely help with the immersion. Otherwise, a solid experience for an entry read. Good world building.

Choices don't really matter, you're practically forced into a romance, when you're choices do matter there's a 50% chance in nonsensical way. Ex. (Spoiler warning) I played the game choosing justice options to be a very sincere and just hero.... as a result, I couldn't save the civilian in a ultimatum. I was FORCED to save a hero instead of a reporter who should be the just one to save since it's a civilian. I'm more than a little peeved there as messed with my oc who wanted to protect people.

Overall, I enjoyed the game. The author really managed to create an enjoyable story that I was thoroughly entertained by. Not to mention how interesting the worldbuilding is. However, there are several flaws regarding thos: -The lack of interactivity. Many points in the game will force your character to react in some way with no choices given whatsoever -Biased stats. The game seems to encourage the player to lean towars justice, lawful, defense, team, with many reprecautions to other stats.

Played this game a few years ago, and went back to it recently to see if it still held up to my memories. The first thing I'll say is, the concept and worldbuilding is definitely interesting, but the biggest flaws to me is the writing that can be pretty messy at times. I also think that this story is definitely more suitable for "teenage" readers, as there were some moment that really made me cringe as a 25 y.o. Also, the control you have over your character's actions is often lackluster.

the writing is very good, unfortunately as a game it falls flat. it doesnt do a great job of signposting what choices leverage which attributes, nor does it have enough detail in action descriptions to let you figure out what is the best choice. Paul Wang's infinity series, The Lost Heir Series, and Kyle Marquis' games all have roughly comparable writjng with better game mechanics. try those games first.

The story is very linear, with a few paths you could take with very obvious choices. Even then, the choices you make don't really matter because you get the same immediate response. There are a few good parts in the writing, but the rest is mediocre. Instead of being sprinkled throughout the story, exposition is given through lengthy reports or speeches. Worst of all, the story tries really hard to force you into a romance with a certain character, whose 'flirting' borders harassment.
