Red Tide is a medieval dark fantasy RPG story with turn-based combat about a former soldier who is searching for his family in a world ravaged by war. A lot of choices are on your path, and each of them determines the future of your fantasy adventure story. What will you choose?
The world has changed. The place where you were born was burned to ash. People out there are struggling to survive. Your brother is gone without a trace. What happened to him? The answer to this question lies at the end of a long and dangerous journey.
You are a shadow of your former self, having suffered grave injuries during the war. But the past is the past. What matters is the here and now. You have the freedom to shape your own destiny.

I'm usually skeptic about mobile games. The fact that I was able to try out chapter 1 for free drew me in, and I'm very glad. Months later I purchased the other chapters and after completing the game, it is worth it. Eldrum treats you to a rich world with great characters, locations and lots of lore. The writing oozes feeling, sensibilities and loving care. The combat is tense and interesting, I gravitated to dual wielding. Consequences meaningful, not too harsh. Very good. A personal favorite!

(Played free intro chapter) Single hero RPG / CYOA: a pretty compelling story, & turn-based combat.. Would've been 5 star but for some forced "choices", esp. when the only way I could progress main quest was to k!ll an unfriendly but weak NPC.. No dialogue option! Might be due to having Charisma 1, but game should've let me try to talk to them, then had me fail, thus triggering the NPC to aggro. As it was, had to break my PC's characterisation to escape a dead-end meta loop; broke immersion.

I downloaded this game this morning and I haven't even got to the part where I have to pay. I definitely will. Not only is the story good, the gameplay is superb. It is a difficult game, but not frustrating. It has the spirit of both the fighting fantasy game books and the elder scrolls games. Best of all, the designer has made a game which both realises the limitations of the mobile platform, but exploits them to make an almost perfect game. I will review again when I've paid.

I enjoyed act 1 enough to justify paying for the other two acts, I find myself oddly attached to the game. I like the story so far it isn't overly cheesy or edgy. Combat is simple, which I like, but not to the point where it gets boring. My only gripes so far are that I don't like the menu system, it somehow feels clunky. I Also don't like how text popups for new items cover over the buttons I need to close out of the shop etc. it's a little annoying.

I tried more than a few text-based RPG adventure games and have always been left wanting. this particular game has never done that. I find myself seeing time aside so that I can play this game. I have never done that before with a text-based adventure RPG. the story is impressive and engaging. The stats are simplistic but applicable and interesting. It is safe to say that I love this game.

this game is amazing... great story line. many paths to take and different endings depending on choices made. just....wow....finished the first playthrough but I won't drop any spoilers. keep up the great work and I hope to see more titles from the developers. all in all. WORTH THE DOWNLOAD. PLEASE GIVE IT A CHANCE. with positive thoughts this is Dustin signing off.

Someone once called a sequel they made Bigger, better and bloodier. That's the sequel for Untold. Multiple storylines, multiple endings, multiple encounters, and a humongous map, it'll take you a while and several playthrough just to discover and experience every detail possible! If this becomes a trilogy I am so looking forward to it!!!!-

Its a challenging text based rpg with decent combat. There needs to be more random enemies to earn more gold. I found myself searching for gold to progress the story, which I didn't know I would need to save gold to pay people off. Also there are some fights that can't be won to drive the story further, even though my character was strong enough to kill their whole squad without taking damage while being attacked by the unkillable boss.

Out of curiosity I read the reviews for this game, and after reading many positive comments... I downloaded, and wasnt disappointed! There is zero screen clutter, so right from the beginning the game is extremely intuitive. Story writing is fluid, great detail in descriptions but doesnt go overboard by being to verbose. The interface and HUD is minimalistic and adds perfectly to how fluid this text adventure feels. Supurb!

Thoughouly enjoyed the game and bought the full version hoping that Act 1 was not an indication of how short the game was, this was not the case and finished 1.5 playthroughs in 12 hours. The story is engaging enough to lure you into caring about the characters and their outcomes, however, the game does this well enough that the ending credits feel lackluster when it turns out you cannot go back to previous incidents and resolve them. The ending boss was more of an appetizer to my expectations.

There is so much you could praise about this game. The gameplay is in depth and captivating, the world building is genuinely interesting, the sound design and visuals are phenomenal, and there's more than enough secrets to warrant multiple playthroughs. The only complaint I have is the lack of content. A game of this quality deserves a much more expansive story. Either way it was well worth the price paid.

The story and writing is GREAT! Game play is mediocre. If you choose in the wrong order, you lose options or have to start over (giving the wounded warrior booze makes him sleep and it doesnt matter how much walking you do, the dialog does not change). It is also easy to hit a wall in fights you can't win. I easily passed the lumbermill once, got stuck and branched, second playthrough the vultures were the luckiest critical hitters ever, tried frustratingly 10 times, no option to win.

Honestly, it's a really good game. There are so many people and paths. It's incredible. The characters were well made and the combat was amazing. Not to mention all of the different equipment, healing items, and even the scrolls and books. All of it came togeather to make a wonderful game. It was a fun experience. When I first played, there was an issue with the options not appearing. I reloaded my save, which fixed the problem. Overall, this game is one of the best I've ever played.

Total gem so far. I haven't been able to put it down for hours. Love Choose Your Own Adventure style games, adding a combat system, character inventory and levelling, decent art backdrops and sound, all pluses. Story has been very good 👍. Unlock isn't pricey, I definitely will. I hope the developers plan to keep adding expansions at a decent price. Great job guys!!!

This might be the best app of its style on the Play Store! I do have a strange, I think, bug though; sometimes a notification for the game will appear for just a moment and then disappear. That means the only way to tell it was this game was to check my notifications log. And when that happens, it starts playing the main menu music of the game without the app being open. Very strange! I turned notifications off for the game and it fixed it.

Now this, this is some quality time well wasted. If you are into text based choice games and the likes, you will pop a vein when you get a load of this. Well put together, very smooth plot, a story quest line that will leave you at cross roads with multiple paths, very appealing item/inventory system. You can see the game has been made with love and dedication. Details are on point, through the background art, choice dialogue, screen tabs. The style of music really fits into the mood. 10/10

A remarkably well told story. The setting is a grim midevil past vividly realized through sharply written descriptions and pages of lore found along the way. The choices I made felt impactful, and their impact is sometimes felt much later in the storyline. The combat is fun too. While fairly simple, it's not always easy, and your characters customizable stats and weapon choices open up different abilities and approaches to overcoming obstacles, as well as uncovering hidden areas and treasures.

Played through Act 1 and it was fun, kept my attention and I am interested in playing the rest. I will not be purchasing the full game as it is frustrating to have to save and reload every single time you want to equip an item, trade, read your quest, etc. That is the only bug I found so far, however it's enough to make me put this game on the shelf.

Only disappointment is that you have to pay after you reach a certain point. This is an amazing game. I never buy mobile games or extras, but I am seriously thinking about it. I gave the full 5 stars instead of 4 because it would definitely be worth paying for, and the game has no ads or distractions. It is also a VERY good price (5.99 one time) considering the no ads and the intriguing storyline, etc. . . .

Be aware that you have to pay after a certain point ig, but I think the price ($5-6 if I remember correctly) is worth it. The lore in this game is nice, the turn-based combat is straightforward, and the plotline is good. Decisions you make DO have an impact on final outcomes, which is more than can be said for many RPGs nowadays. This is definitely a good game, and I look forward to the next one the devs are making.
