Hi there! This is Erik, the programmer behind YOUDJ. As an audio engineer, I've dedicated a decade of my life to building this app. I'm a one-person team, and that's why this app is absolutely free!
No sneaky subscriptions or hidden charges. It's all about spreading the love for music and empowering you to become the DJ superstar you were born to be :D
With YOUDJ, you don't need a fancy studio or a ton of experience to create mind-blowing mixes. This app is all about giving you an easy and intuitive interface that even your grandma can use! No complicated controls here!
YOUDJ offers a range of cool features and tools that will make you sound like a pro DJ in no time. While we may not be the most complete DJ app, we offer you the must-have, high quality, DJ tools that will take your mixes to the next level.
From 16 sound effects and an 80-sample sampler to vinyl scratching, auto beat synchronization, keylock, loops, automix, and hot cues. These features will ensure you have everything you need to unleash your creativity.
Our app comes preloaded with a collection of music from talented artists whom I personally know, but you can also play MP3 files stored on your device.
It's important to understand that no DJ app, including YouDJ, can integrate with Apple Music, Spotify, or YouTube Music due to their closed platforms and the DRM encryption on their songs. Also, legally mixing popular music without paying on mobile platforms is a no-go. So don't come at us asking why Justin Bieber isn't featured in our demo playlists.
YOUDJ is available on all desktop and mobile platforms, so you can rock the party wherever you go. But we highly recommend you to try the computer version too (you.dj).

How to Mix:
You're equipped with a classic DJ setup featuring two turntables and a mixer.
Your mission? Simultaneously unleash the magic of two songs, each playing on its respective turntable, and then skillfully blend them together using the mixer.
To spice up your mix, you can use effects such as the loops, the fx pads, the eq, the scratch, the sampler, the hot cues.

Just installed the app. Very impressive. I've only had a quick browse through the virtually overwhelming choices. Well done Mr developer. I'm seriously considering purchasing the app. But unaware of the cost! Also not sure if I'll be able to save my mixes to my mobile? Or if I'll be able to share my mixes. But 1st impressions, definitely 5Star. The sound quality is seriously good. Does the paid version have a headphone splitter to enable listening to tracks individually? *****

£5.99 ok it's not free but it is worth every penny and I will be having on my laptop as well Definitely !!👀😎🦱❤ Only just one problem is that you can't get any music from soundcloud or any other streaming service you are stuck with the music you have got in your files and its own library of b quality music ,Why is that its a great app apart from that one thing, Needs a streaming service to be honest or it's not going to get the DJ pro use it is still a bit of a joke just like 100s of dj apps

Hi Erik, First of all I would like to say thank you for such a wonderful, simple DJ app. Unfortunately there is bad... The recordings made with both the android version AND the PC version (paid) seem to add clicks and pops, making the recording sound very much like the source was vinyl. If that was your intention, PLEASE could you make that optional in the settings. As I am probably not the only user who finds the crackle VERY much unwanted. Many thanks again for a great program. It's a good app, but it's extremely memory hungry and it makes my device very hot. That can't be right, can it? Also being able to work with playlists would be nice as I have my music separated into custom playlists (i.e. 70s/80s/90s etc) for convenience. Otherwise I'm having to scroll through nearly 500 songs to find what I want. And a scroll bar that can be used to navigate the lists without having to do searches for everything would be good too.

Solid foundation to what could be a great application. The audio output quality could use a small gain reduction as the sound becomes distorted at high volumes. Needs adjustable cue volume. record function should be included for paid members. option to connect mobile to the desktop As a midi device would be cool. . Adress crossthreading issue on the w/chrome extension when trying to record pc. But other than these technical details...i love it.

this has got to be the most accurate DJ mix app and I've been using this on the Chromebook for years! Finally giving it a go on the smartphone and the transition so far is seamless! If you want a true to life accurate experience, look no further! You've found it! Add a midi mixer with some wheels and you'll be able to transfer all you've learned here to an actual DJ turntable &/or studio setup seamlessly!

I've been a professional dj for over 20 years. owned my own club for 14 of those years. started with records only and progressed to cd. to me the idea of a dj app always seemed to be a way to cheat. you can become a master at button pushing but lets see you do the real thing. this app changed my perception. it is easy to use and really fun but in no way does it feel like cheating. granted I just started using the app there is 1 main thing it absolutely needs. fader style pitch control tables.

You.DJ was the best mixing platform I have ever used. Unfortunately, SoundCloud has restricted the usage of what songs you can play. You used to be able to search for any song on SoundCloud, and You.DJ would pull it straight from there for free. That's no longer possible. Hopefully, Beatsource will make some of that possible again, but for now, the best thing you can do is use songs you've already downloaded. This app is currently not worth downloading, but it definitely is worth staying updated

So I was scrolling throughout my web store in my chromebook and found this app, watched the available video and decided to get it, and so far I LOVE it! with many songs available, a recording studio, available for computer & mobile! I'm rating this on my mobile phone, favorite thing about it is that you can play music in the backgroud coming from this app(on pc at least)! very little song apps allow that, it even has a full screen mode, and where you can add epic affects to the background!!

Dude I love this app, but there's this new problem that broke my experience. Basically when ever I want to add my mp3 songs, they start stuttering and lag the app to death, and any soundcloud songs I insert wont load or even play after they loaded. I have a fast wifi connection and even was able to play YouDJ offline, but now the app doesn't work for me anymore. If you can fix this problem, I drop in a 5 star rating, I want to love this app but right now I can't play it. Please fix this, thanks!

I'm just having fun and I'm loving it, the free integration with SoundCloud is amazing, you can start a party right away, I'll start training so when all this ends I'm gonna make parties right away. Thanks a lot for no adds or annoying subscriptions. Keep the good work, the o only thing I wish the app could have is a sync bmp dedicated button instead of auto bmp Sync.

Beyond shocked that this app is FREE and AD FREE completely, no catch. Oh, and it's the best app I've used for my music. It has everything and a few extras 🐇 Thank you developer this will allow my kid and so many others to express themselves thru music much more creatively and not have to worry about subscriptions and the like. Everyone can use and understand how to use, selections are well defined and everything works as it is intended.

I have tried several other mixers, even payed a few bucks for them. this app is by far the best I have used. As soon as I opened it I was hooked. It's very intuitive, and the music and samples that come with it. if you are looking for a dj mixing app, stop here. Did I mention it's free, well it's free. Not free with in app purchases. Not free with a ton of annoying, intrusive adds, FREE. Download it, start mixing. Oh, btw...you can record. This app is a labor of love, love of music 💯🔥❤️

The DJ board apps are really good or awful, this is the only one I find in the Grey area. The board itself is responsive and fluid, Scratches sound organic, cues work, crossfader is spot on. I find the menus clunky and excessive. So hard to find my music as it doesn't load all of it at first. Unable to select specific folders or at least I'm not able to figure it out. Would like customization options (skins/colors/rocord labels) good but close to the best yet. Will update review as app updates

This was the perfect DJ app but in the last week it's crashed on my new phone. I have installed and un-installed the latest version 3 times and it still crashed. It's playing the songs at about 1/4 time with totally distorted sound like it's playing through totally busted speakers. It's not the speakers or sound of the phone because all other music apps play excellent. I reached out to developer support 3 times; never heard anything back. Disappointing! Any Ideas? Still works on my old phone.

This is a solid app, I used to use Edjing but after they continued to increase the prices for premium effects, removed the functionality of the features or either removed them entirely, I began looking for a replacement and this one rocks. My only suggestion is a quality of life improvement and it hardly counts as a complaint. But in the future, I'd like to see a way to sort my music library by BPM or length instead of having to scroll for it. Other than that small nitpick, this app is great

Even this is my new favorite app just because of the startup video. The library of all the song needs improvement. I could not play more than one song befor having to reboot the app and I couldn't input my own songs. Even if this apps loading is pretty bad. I still had tons of fun, working around all the bugs. Hope you find a future in your passion and livelihood!!! ❤❤❤

I'm looking at this as someone who does not care about SoundCloud integration. The file browser for stored music is awful. It cannot view more than 20 songs at any given time. It doesn't have categories to search with, only one big list (of 20ish songs.) It gave me an option to look through the device storage directly, but only the internal storage. All of my music is on my external msd storage. On top of that, I couldn't get it play any of my own mp3 files. That's as far as I got.

This is insane. I just searched "phone dj", and this was at the top, because I was curious if anyone was crazy enough to take on this kind of project. It's extremely easy to use, and I love how I don't need headphones, haha. I have a DVS setup at home with Mixxx, along with a hardware mixer, but for a toy app on a phone, this is outstanding! Party mode is a nice touch. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing!

I Havent tried recording but this IS a great app! SUPER Easy on the battery (5 hrs straight). The auto-sync is right on. Without auto sync has great response. Using this with a UE megaboom speaker and it's a party in your pocket on or offline. I mostly like the deep house collection! Spin with the "eq" on instead of the vinyl record display for best sound control, while eq'ing, sometimes the buttons will jump when sliding two sliders at same time (that could possibly be just the phone, I dunno).
