I found out that you need to have it automatically detect that it's playing through headphones and I don't know how to do that, what I can tell you is if it's not working properly, it hasn't detected that you're playing sound through headphones. It will say "speaker" at the top and won't be fixed even if you're using headphones. You've got to reconnect, shut off the app, maybe even shut off your phone and try again. Relieved to get it working again. It's a struggle sometimes but it's worth it.

Spectacular app. I upgraded to the paid version immediately. I can get my Marshall Major II's sounding almost as good as my monolith M570 planar headphones. Virtualizer is a very subtle effect, but it works pretty well. Is it a crossfeed filter? If not, I'd like to see a crossfeed filter added. Also, the reverb doesn't appear to work at all unless it's just again a very subtle effect. I think the only thing I'd like to see past that is maybe a dynamic EQ like what denon/audyssey has been doing to boost bass at lower volumes. Thanks for putting this app out there. I'd love to see a windows PC version since everything on there looks pretty 1990's.

This app is amazing for the AutoEQ presets alone as it makes the sound much more balanced overall and enables my Galaxy Buds to sound as good and as clear as my Sony WH-1000XM2's. Complaints: no way to try unlocked features without paying a non-refundable, hefty sum. Bass boost makes bass quieter and the documentation is inadequate to explain this function or what the reverb "plate" preset is. Says YT Music is supported in non-legacy mode, but is fairly inconsistent if Wavelet detects it's use.

Best update! Auto post gain is a game-changer. Instead of following around with a paramedic eq, I can now use squid.link to get my desired curve and import it into the app (which you could do for a while). But now I can sub bass boost my open backs and flatheads and not worry about distortion because of the lack of a preamp. Outstanding app. Worth every penny and then some!

I want to love this app. I used it for a while and it was great. I even paid for the premium version. Now I can't seem to get it to work. I use Deezer and play music but this app does not see them. I just have the shrugging emoji, saying it doesn't see any music source. I've uninstalled and reinstalled all the apps. Restarted my phone. I don't know why it doesn't want to work anymore. Please help

Why did you remove functionality from the app? Was I on a trial and didn't realize it? If reverb is all that there is to "unlock" I don't see the removed features in the paid version either. This is a really great app. It's a shame you chose to hinder the experience. If those features ever come back then I will give you five stars. Edit: Thanks for the quick response. I have applied your methods and that has fixed the issue. My review has been changed to a well deserved 5 stars.

This is awesome! Tried it out with my (basically, but with bluetooth) Monoprice 8323 headphones. There's crackling unless I abuse the channel balance feature and set both channels to about -4dB. After doing that this cheap headset sounds even higher above its price point! I'm seriously blown away by this and can't stop listening! Even music I thought was just too much for these cheap headphones (death metal and stuff) clears right up!

Free version was so good I immediately purchased the pro version to support and open the optional features. Got a Google Play receipt for the purchase, but no pro features ever appeared afterself- troubleshooting and reinstalling for an entire day without a reply via email regarding the problem. 2 stars just cause the free version solved the speaker issue on my new phone. -3 for bad follow-through on customer service and lack of troubleshooting options to remedy the issue.

I migrated to a new phone and there's no way for me to migrate my EQ presets. I've used this app for years and is great otherwise, but that's years I've spent tweaking the EQ for all of my devices. No way to backup or sync or migrate. Super frustrating because the developer has had years now to implement such a basic feature. An EQ presets is just a handful of numbers! How difficult can it be to implement?

Nice EQ: This app solved an issue that I would e had to spend lots of money to correct. Installed a new system that seemed to be missing lows in the 20hz range and I wasn't sure if it was the system or music quality from YouTube & Prime. After a couple of days working with the settings I eventually tried the visualtion tool and bam there were my low notes once again. Seems to have been a music quality issue. Wavelet is the best EQ in the app store. Fingers crossed that an update won't change it.

tested the app and purchased directly to support developer, also recommend it to everyone, very good app, that is flexible and does not distort the sound when you use it. only have 2 points, first make the app usable for older android 5/6 devices to be able to use in car head units and to relive old unused tablets as touchscreen music streamers and second make it start in legacy mode as it is the way to go on most devices and novices do not know this.

Sensational! Having also used sonarworks for a while this app is exactly what I wanted. Autoeq and importing curves is blowing my mind and makes testing the latest chi-fi headphones absolutely viable. The ability to blend eqs, do custom eqs and even turn both on makes it incredible. The SoundID mobile app might be ok if you have personal profiles but this is leagues easier to use. I also don't think SoundId lets you use the eq without a profile, so if they don't have the headphone its worthless.

Just a heads up, this seems to be having issues with Android 15 beta 4, skipping a lot while playing while using Spotify/YouTube music. It wasn't consistent though and a restart seems to have responded if for now. Overall though, this is one great app, thank you so much for making it!

A must-have EQ app for Android. I do have one request for a future update: In the "Channel balance" setting, I'd like an option to adjust both the left and right channels together. I use this all the time to lower the gain, but I hate that the left and right channels need to be adjusted independently. A toggle to keep both channels locked in sync would fix this minor annoyance in an otherwise awesome app.

Used this for a while with no problems, and even paid for the pro to support the developer. Now for a few months, I've been getting crackling, static, and cut-outs while the Autoeq is enabled. This is on my Pixel 7 while using Sony Linkbuds S and Galaxy Buds 2. Changing the Bluetooth codec doesn't fix the audio issues, nor does a phone reboot. It's the Wavelet Autoeq, and it took me a long time to figure out. Disappointed. Edit: dev response helped. Thanks!

This app is absolutely *incredible* in the way it can simulate the way various earphones and headphones sound compared to each other. This app also has its own "Intensity" control for each of the 100+ presets that are built-in. This allows the user to adjust the precise "tone" of each preset. Used along with an EQ app, *thousands* of "shades" of different headphones can be easily created by the user. Just take my word about this app- Ya just gotta try it! You won't be sorry.

(deleted accidentally) Helps with audio quality on cheap headphones. One problem: can't save personal EQs, and accidentally saving a change on another filter overrode it. EQ save slots would help. Weirdly sensitive to "off" frequencies and spikes (yay autism), and have music on almost 24/7 to deal with background noise. I'm really sad that I can't replicate the sound that worked. Please add an option to save new presets & some kind of version control or undo / redo for overwrites

I love the app and what it does, but I would love it if they made it to where whenever you open a music app or anything that plays sound, Wavelet automatically turns on and whenever Spotify or whatever app closes it turns it off. So that it doesn't drain the battery of your phone and so you don't have to manually turn it on and off everytime you want to use it.

Used the app for maybe a year and all of a sudden the headphone specific profiles and custom profiles have been removed? That was the best part of this app. UPDATE: Dev. reached out quickly and helped me trouble shoot which led to a solution. Turns out it was an error happening on my phone, not a removal of features. I was wrong!

Simple and brilliant eq app, it has presets for a huge variety of headphones that actually are really good. Makes my $20 iems sound almost as good as my $500 cans. Not really sure how to feel about that, but the app is great. I do have one minor quibble, the app should remember devices I've connected to and let me edit settings for them when I'm not actively playing media. Maybe in a future update, it's not a big enough issue to lose a star over though.
