It has the shows I want to watch... but there are WAY too many ads. For a single episode I probably spend just as much, if not more, time watching commercials as opposed to actual content. It's ridiculous. Especially since I'm signed in with my cable provider. If you want to scroll to a new part of the video you have to sit through SEVEN ads each time you scroll to a new part. Absolutely ludicrous.

Super disappointed in this TLC app. It doesn't have any fast forward or rewind... It doesn't save your place if you exit out mid show. The commercials are insane! So many ads! More commercials than watching regular TV and they repeat the same ones over and over again! This app is definitely less convenient than watching through your regular TV provider. TLC needs to step up their app game.

What is going on with the APP? Why is it about 95% of the time I can't even watch anything with out every 3second it skips or pic freezes while it tries to replay the last 3sec again over & over threw the whole vid? This is been going on for a while now & I might be able to watch a few episodes 1-2 out of the month. I keep trying but it seems to be almost all the time & I can't ever since to ⌚ most episodes before they're locked because of this issue.

To start, the number of commercials are insane. I don't think they play that much on TV during the show. Secondly, if you come out of the app mid show and go back in to watch it, it makes you watch it from the beginning. There is no way to skip to the part you left off. When the app buffers, it's starts you from the beginning of the show. I truly hate this app.

I didn't want to do this this way, I sent an email with feedback in about 2 weeks ago. But since the issue is not fixed....the Carfax commercial with the anounymous woman messes up the videoplayback every time over all my devices, phone, laptop, and roku tvs. It zooms in the picture of the commercials and the show to a very small percentage of the upper left hand corner. please fix this!!! also I'd be willing to pay for tlc streaming and I bet that would help fix things like grainy videos etc.

The app works perfectly but the ads are awful. Ridiculous. Over 3 or 4 minutes of commercials. It will play over 200 seconds of ads every ten minutes of air time. You end up watching more commercials than show. It's insane. I honestly stop watching because the ads are so annoying. 30-60 seconds at most is appropriate. 240 seconds of commercials is ridiculous.

Using it on Xbox One for the last two weeks and it was working great initially. Now every time I try and watch it buffers and never starts. I also hate that it doesn't remember my TV provider log in and makes me log in from another device every time I want to use it. It happens even after a couple of hours of no use. Basically useless right now. Can't watch anything. Not a good look for a huge network like TLC. I don't want to have to troubleshoot or contact anyone. It should just work.

I have this app on Amazon Fire stick, it's totally ridiculous how many ads (commercials) there are during episodes of the shows I'm watching, some in upwards of 8. 1 or 2 maybe. but 8 seriously?? 😡 3/9/19 In the middle of watching an episode of one of my shows it threw me out of it. when I tried to go back in it lock me out of the episodes and said my cable provider didn't include this content. tried to uninstall and reinstall the app, clear cache etc. nothing helped. Seriously irritating! 😡

Worst app!! Logs out of my TV provider everytime I close the app, freezes, crashes, starts episodes all over every time!! To many ads and have to watch a ton to get to where I was in the episode, since it didn't save where I last watched!! I will just record episodes on DirecTV and then watch on my DVR if I want to watch something!! I dont get booted, froze, crashed, or have to watch so many ads!!! Will be deleting it and just use my DirecTV app!! Not enough good shows to fight with an app!!!

(Sidenote:This review is from a user who has full content unlocked because of Spectrum cable.) Wonderful app. Provides access to EVERYTHING you can think of from the actual network. It's great being able to watch what you want when you want instead of waiting for the next episode to air. They integrate brand new episodes right away too. The ONLY complaint I have is that you are forced to watch the same amount of ads as you would watching on TV. You should be able to skip at least SOME of them.

This app is annoying.... there are 3 minutes of commercials very 5 minutes! I always have to log out & log back in which makes it forget where i am in a show. when i click back into the show, i have to watch the commercials again & God forbid i pick the wrong spot otherwise they make you watch the ads again. It also edits commercial breaks into the middle of a scene/sentence which is awkward. TLC & animal planet both do this. i know they have to make money, but it's just ridiculous!!!!!

Commercials!!! Just DVR these shows, cause the app makes it ridiculous. More commercials than show. Worse it messes up repeatedly and actually won't play the end of some episodes. It doesnt keep playing and if you have to restart it plays a whole new set of 7 commercials!! It doesnt keep tracking what you've seen, show episodes in order, really a sad attempt at a streaming channel.

Edit February 6, 2022: I tried clearing the cache as suggested. It does not help. Every time I watch a show, the last 10 minutes gets cut off and the app will not load it again. It just auto plays an entirely different show. I changed my rating from 2 to 1 star because I hate this app the more I use it. The app used to work fine but the new update is terrible. It crashes mid episode constantly. And when I try to restart the episode, it will start playing an entirely other show. It's awful now.

If you have a TV provider you get all access to full seasons of nearly every show on TLC. It's easy to navigate through the app and it's fairly quick until you get to streaming. Once you begin streaming it freezes and backtracks a couple seconds then starts streaming again every few minutes. Commercials can be 25 seconds long to 150 seconds long. Which I think is great as it's a free (have to pay for a TV provider for full access) app, but paired with the lag it's a little inconvenient.

i absolutely love watching the reality shows on this app. its easy to use and has many providers on the list to log in. The amount of commercials, no way to skip them, and/or fast forward them. the shows im currently watching i had to log into my cable provider to even be able to watch, so i am paying for the service. still i must watch more hours of commercials than the actual show itself! i would be 100% willing to pay a one time fee or subscription to remove commercials!! pls look into this!!

I used to live this app and watch of my shows and didn't even mind the commercials but for the past week it will not open it just shows that its loading but won't load. This is frustrating beyond belief! I even uninstalled and reinstalled to see if that would work but nope it didn't. What is going on?? Is there a update coming soon or what?!?! Would like some feed back on this matter! I will change my rating once or if it's ever fixed.

I've had a smart phone for over a decade and have never left a review for an app, that ends tonight. This is the most frustrating piece of garbage I've ever had the misfortune of using. Don't ever stop watching a show because you won't be able to skip back to where you left off! Follow that simple rule and you might think you're safe, but wait... There's more! The app itself will close out on you and disconnect from your TV thus putting you in the very predicament you were trying to avoid.

What the hell!! I've been using this app for months to catch up on whatever shows I miss. Our cable is set up through our business because it's at the office and we dont have cable at home. I've never had an issue logging in or watching the shows until today. All of a sudden after all this time when I go to log in, an error message pops up saying this app does not support business accounts. That is BS! was never an issue before. Guess I will be deleting this since I can't use it anyway.

I love love love being able to catch up with my favorite shows on the go! The app is fairly easy to use, but a BIG drawback is the amount of commercials it plays. *Update* TLC you claim the ads are essential and you have no more ads than are on tv, well this isn't tv..its an app. It's supposed to be more convenient and accessible on the go. It seems the consensus among your customers are that they are unhappy with the AMOUNT of ads. Care much? And now mine isn't even loading for a few days.

I am impressed with the shows featured,and they are interesting to watch. However, I can't watch at least half of the shows featured because, like all other apps that feature channels on television, I am ordered to sign in my correct cable channel, which I don't have because of the cost. If they offered a subscription that would work for people like me who watch a lot of shows but don't have cable television. So I might uninstall the app, we'll see..
