Would have been nice if I could have used the app, it would not give me an option to identify. It only kept showing me the ad to purchase

it has a stupid subscription plan. I'm sick of people not having a one time purchasing charge anymore.

I'm trying to use the free version to see if it works but can not do that without buying. It's not worth it. I have used other apos that miss labeled items, so I alwat want to test the apo before paying.

Downloaded and it said i had 4 free times to identify stones. But every time i tried all i gor was the option to subscribe. I couldnt do anything to even try the app to see if i wanted to pay for more. Waste of my time!

No free option. I would never buy a rock identifier app without trying it out for a few weeks first.

I wish I knew what this app was like, but I couldn't get past the home page except to an upgrade page. Why would I want to upgrade or subscribe without even knowing if this is the app that I need??? Now I uninstall. 🤦🏾♀️

Inaccurate, scanned the same stone 3 times and got 3 completely wrong answers. won't let me remove my payment option, or cancel subscription. Don't waste your time.

Sorry but this app isn't helpful at all and you're way too pushy for a subscription. I didn't even get to use the app before i got a screen to pop up pushing a subscription, and every time I try to identify, it pushes a sub and will then play an ad if you refuse to sub. This combined with the fact that it didn't give me any helpful, accurate results equals a 1 star. The only positive I've experienced with this app is that it doesn't collect or share data.

only tried the free version... really like! This is probably now my favorite of the five I already have. fun - yes.. gives options... take your picture then the app came up with 5 possibilities. I thought it could be 2 of the 5 shown ..... my other apps could be way off.... now, this rating screen came up after only one attempt . If it fails, I'll be back but from what I've seen.. pretty great!

Not at all accurate. The interface is nice though. If they had a (much!) greater catalogue of rocks and minerals to match with, this could be a good app, there's just a lot of work left to go here. the first 2 rocks I tried identifying were BOTH listed as gneiss and Botswana agate, among other things. And both my rocks look about as different as those 2 matches do. Continuing my search for the right rock app...

Downloaded to identify a rock. First screen it tries to upsell me to premium version. I decline and it shows me an add. I take a picture of the rock I want to identify. It attempts to upsell me again to a premium version. The selection, continue with free version does not work. So I uninstall it and move to the next rock identifier app. Had it for a total of 5 minutes. I don't care that they try to upsell me, that's how they make money. Show me it works first before you try to do so.

I don't know who it is that designed this, but it's my belief they're geniuses. That's sarcasm. Hopefully there's an app out there that works better than this one to explain what that is for you. I took two different pictures of two totally different rocks and it gave close to the exact same possibilities for both. Three to be exact. Throwing five or six random possibilities for each one does increase the odds that you may get it right every once in a while though

Worked once, and showed an add. You have to keep clicking on the "No, I'd like to use the free version" each time, which is in small Grey print. Then it stopped allowing me to choose free version and only recognized that I was pushing a button when I chose to subscribe. So I ended up deleting it of course. Fix the bugs and it will be ok.

Inaccurate! Riddled with tons of ads in the free version. Sneaky way of getting you to buy a subscription by hiding / concealing the continue with "free" version. Happens multiple times whenever there is a chance. NO, I would not recommend this product, mainly because of the seemingly never ending, lengthy, repeating, over the top ads.

The long, drawn out, ads between every specimen you want to identify, is off the charts, excessive & definitely not worth putting up with for the very inaccurate results received. Identification wasn't even close on any of the specimens I tried testing this app with. The accuracy of an app like this, is only as good as the images being scanned; knowing that, I made certain that my images were clear & depicted each specimen precisely.

I was able to take a picture of my mystery stone. There was NO navigation beyond that...and of course, paying for a subscription or offering a review, which is I'm doing now. No further functionality is available ... for free. I'm glad I got to take a photo for free. Could do that without this app before....but it was free!! The single value I found in this app is the chance to say hello to all of you... For free! Rock On!!

Gives the option to use after an add but you have to hit "continue with adds" before it will allow you to take a photo to scan. It's not 100% accurate, but that's OK for a free version. 1 star because it's the first app that doesn't try to force me to do a sub right off. 2 stars for having a free use option, though annoying to repeatedly have to say no to a sub. 3 stars because it has a cataloging feature.
