when it was truly free ...amazing! I pay enough to use this thru at&t and I will be damned if I pay another 4.99 for ad free. i have been using this thru my UVerse for over a year. I will never use it again. I will just listen to my downloaded music and skip this worthless piece of junk. Shame on you trying to make that extra dollar. I know many will drop this like a hot potato.

I like the app overall and the music selections/station are very good however it seems some NOT ALL yet some of the music needs to be leveled up and/or down. In other words, volume leveling. For instance while listening to the 'Hits from 1992" some of the music is well below the majority causing one to gave to go back and forth with my remote of having to increase the volume. Fix that and I would resubscribe. Heads and tails ABOVE my current SiriusXM.

I loved all the variation and channels! I hated that no matter how much I tried, I couldn't authorize my Optimum account. The app would not recognize the song no matter how much I held my phone to the television, so it wouldn't approve it. I even turned up the volume a LOT to see if that'd help. 6 days left until authorization necessary but so frustrated with the lack of ability to do so that I uninstalled.

I primarily use this app as an alarm to wake me up in the morning. Sometimes it works, but most of the time it doesn't. There is a lot of lag when searching stations even on the maximum output setting. There's often an error message saying connection lost which is annoying... it's an ok app when it works... Update: I uninstalled the app and I reinstalled the app and it still did not work. I uninstalled the app for good. I believe it was incompatible with my phone.

I'm more interested in a full subscription service, but as far as less-expensive radio apps go, I'd put this above Pandora and maybe on an equal footing with Slacker. I like how you can use the "dial" to go from one station to other similar ones. And I tend to believe their claim that the music is picked by humans, not robots. The audio quality leaves me underwhelmed on good headphones, but it's fine in a car or as background music.

I'm really enjoying this app. I received it as part of my mobile phone carrier perks. The stations have all been great. I'm enjoying the variety and ad-free streaming. I can't say i've never heard the same song twice, but 1) it does not happen often and 2) i've only heard songs i like again. Take the time to hit the heart or no thank you icon every few songs or so. It does help make the experience better.

I just downloaded this app yesterday and I have to say this is by far the best free music app I've experienced. The ads are short and not to frequent. Also the app runs smoothly with no freeze ups, plus it doesn't drain the battery too much. The choices are unlimited. You guys weren't lying when you said you have thousands of music channels in the description. No matter what style of music y'all like, there's something for everyone. Thank you Stingray for an excellent music experience. 🙂

I've only had it for a short time. But the verification of service was super easy. Sound quality is very good too. A follow up. I mostly listen 70's rock. I currently have 5 favorites loaded on my subscription. The range of programming is terrific. Songs I haven't heard since the 70's and some I've never heard before. This app blows iHeart away because of that.

The interface & features need work, & unfortunately the volume of the ads is louder than the actual music, BUT I'm still giving this app 5 stars simply for how amazing the music selection has been. By far the most in-depth sub-genres of music channels I've ever found. Just exploring the hip hop channels, there are so many different options I never even reached the bottom of the list. As a music fan, I'm incredibly impressed with how well curated the music is in this app. Keep it up, Stingray!

It's good as a radio app, lots of variety. Some of the stations get repetitive but that depends on how specific they are, like "Best X of 2019" isn't going to have thousands of options. I knocked two stars off because it doesn't have a cast function and it randomly shuts itself off a couple of times a day. Sometimes it plays for hours no problem, other times you only get ten minutes in and poof.

it have a great collection of music, but the problem that it have, is that when I put aside the page, it keep playing for few minutes then it drops by it self and closed the app. Is really annoying most of the time when you try to listen to the music and play at the same time. This is why I give it 2 starts. If it haven't that BIG problem, I definitely will give 5 start, recommend it to anyone, and buy the last update, but unfortunately ! I can't buy something that it not giving me the comfort.

This app's experience is fair at best. Since moving to a new tv service, this was included so wanted to check it out. I love how you can change the channel but still hear similar songs in the same genre. The song variety is great in there are literally 100s of channels that you can listen to based on any type of activity or mood. I gave this fair since the audio quality in the app is not good. It is very light and not full like other streaming music services. Bass and richness are lacking

I use this awesome service at night to sleep. It is so much better than Pandora which keeps interrupting the music selection with stupid commercials. This app is awesome. update: As of April 2019 I'm having major problems with the service. my stream used to play fine all night long now I find that the stream is buffering and stopping completely at some point during the night. not sure if this is because of a software update or problems with my AT&t wireless service.

Is a different type of service. Here you can't just pick one artist album and play it completely. You can search your favorite artists and access play lists that has music from that artist and others. I like that is fast with the 96K, and is a good quality on a normal Bluetooth speaker. If you want more quality a subscription is required. Even you can not play just one artist music on demand, their music albums, the Playlist are good and the app works so well that is enjoyable.

Was the best app until the last update. I used to listen while I was driving, it was in the background and GPS was on top, I loved its mix and was very happy. Now it only plays one song and you have reopen the app and press play. The only way it works is for it to be open, on top, no apps open and the screen has to be on. Eats phone battery. I will delete soon if it is not fixed soon😔

I really like this. The only small complaint is not having some of the music I like. For example if I do a search for Depeche Mode I expect to hear one of their albums. However everything else is very good. Especially no ads gotta love that. So carry on 😉 would love the app to show lyrics but thats ok other than those small complaints this ap is fabulous,😍

Needs Work... Downloaded this app since my cable provider switched ( I have Altice aka; Cablevison.) the app asked for an authorization to activate and it says to hold phone up to speaker for water mark... listens for a few mins and says fail? I tried 20 different music channels, and it fails everytime. Also tried to launch using Android Auto and it did not connect. (I have Pandora and have no connection issues.) Figured I would try this since its "included" in my cable subscription..

It's a gospel explosion experience in music. Love the different music experience. It's old, new mixed version explosion of different sounds. You never hear the same songs over and over again like most gospel stations. l love that you give the name of artist, title of song and album. I can write down songs l like with all the information about the song l need. Keep up the good work. I'm telling everyone about it. l use to listen to Pandora until l came across this commercial free station.

UPDATE: The app stopped connecting more than 14 days ago. I wrote the developer when it first happened and have received only form letter responses. No solution yet. Stingray Music provides wonderful ad-free music of all genres. All I have to do is verify my AT&T U-verse Stingray account every six months. Sound quality is very good.

UPDATE: I wrote to customer service and they authorized the app for me. Very quick and effective response. For others unable to authorize, reach out to Stingray. They'll take care of you! Does not work with Altice One cable box! Altice has no estimate of when it will. The app fails to "authorize" when I follow the instructions to have the app "listen" to a Stingray channel. There is no other way to authorize. Very disappointing.
