First, when I get it going, it did not bring over any of my existing messages. Then a friend msg'd me and I had to go to notifications to see it, because all the subcategories were empty. Then I got a msg from an automated (but wanted) service. And I thought, "I better add the number to my contacts". I did that, but it was gone anyway. Then... it finally brought up all my existing message, and categorized them pretty well. Then I got a new one and everything was gone again! Uninstalling

Easy to set up, protects your phone from phishing texts the most common form of phone hacking using keywords ( I used a list of most common words used for phishing). I can't use the call blocking feature though as it says my SIM card is not supported. Thanks for this useful tool. Trend Micro did an update and now call blocking works for me. Thank you very much!

Once I installed this app, I couldn't send text messages. I changed the setting trying to determine what the problem was and it still wouldn't let me send texts. I uninstalled the app.

App worked before on Galaxy A20 w OS 10. Installed on new phone, Galaxy S20 Ultra w UI 5.1 + OS 13, & fails to block calls. As a test, entered an existing contact's number to be blocked in the app. Called my phone from contact's phone and my phone rang as normal and then went to voicemail. App should have blocked the call with no ring on my phone and did a hangup so caller couldn't leave a voicemail. Didn't try the SMS text blocking because already know how it works with the junk folder, etc.

I like the SMS filter that puts unknown spammers into a spam folder. HOWEVER, this app runs the battery down unlike any other app I've used. And it is SLOWWWW, like molasses in -54 degree weather. Were it not for those 2 issues, I'd have given it 5 stars. I'm using a Samsung A23, and its installed SMS app sucks. Is there any documentation for this app?

This app can be Great but can be a pain in my Bottom Bug's out Sends a double text Twice and only sends 1 picture at a time I just now sent 3 and took my 3rd picture away really My other message default I never have this problem. Only reason I used this is to stop spamming it does what says it does.. also I Noticed sending a picture to someone it is very small?

The best mobile security app I have ever used, and I've many thanks to the military. My only suggestion would be to add a sms option to exclude messages from trusted people in the check. It's a little much to get individual checks on individual messages, especially if one of your trusted is a single word/line in rapid succession kind of messenger, like more than a few of mine are 😆 (disregard if that is a feature I haven't found yet)

I'm not sure what I should be expecting with this. It insists on being my SMS app but I like the one I'm currently using except the lack of filters. I tried using this but couldn't find where to actually text. Then there's the second phone number. Says free in pre release but I'm guessing it'll be paid post release. The second number will also be recycled automatically if nothing comes through for a couple months. That would preclude using it for 2FA of businesses. I think there's potential.

When I try to report a few scam texts from my phone, it identified them as spam/asked if I wanted to report it, the screen is too large on the others for me to access the red button to submit. Needs scroll bar. Also can't see messages when I send them. Screen white. Edit: these are text (not calls) scam from mailspport, etc. Says Netflix, Amazon, PayPal acct on hold or closed until I click link. I'll try to send screenshots to your email.

False sense of security by marking spam messages with unwanted links and messages with zero click exploits in them as safe or no risk in green until I report them. Also, the options are quite limited compared to alternatives. There isn't even a dark mode or notification of blocked text or call. The app icon name TM check should be renamed to TM call & text filter for better identification. The worst part is that you have to keep the app open and open it at every start up for it to block calls.

No split keyboard option and is grayed out in settings even though all the other texting apps have split keyboards (meaning you turn the phone longway and the keyboard expands across the screen ) this is old school 90s small screen keyboard, was kind of developer forgets to add in the split screen function into a tm protection and texting as default app without a split keyboard!!!!! Total junk , this is the extra I payed premium service to have with trend micro! What a bunch of idiots!!!!

How do you even send a text? The little floating dog head does nothing. There is no icon to park on home screen. If you open the app and hunt for it you can find an obscure button to send a message ... But you can't reply to an existing message? I use Trend Micro Internet Security so I had high hopes for this. But it is way to cumbersome to use. Uninstalling. UGH!

Trying this, so far, not good, getting spam texts & then when trying to text friends the whole screen goes blank after I send it. No clue if my text went through & I lose all texts completely. Well I've tried this app for several days. Unfortunately, 99% of the time the screen is blank, even when I get texts, so while I get an alert I have a text, I'm unable to see or read it. So...here I go, deleting this app & looking for another one that actually works.

This app excels at blocking spam, but the UI needs to be addressed. One of the issues with Android is that for SMS spam blocking, the app needs to be the default app. This means that unless you want to do a lot of default program swaps every time you send a message, you'll be using this app as your SMS app. The devs should focus on making this a decent sms app. When you open it, it needs to default to your messages. Needs to be quick at reading new messages and sending them out.

I had high hopes that this app would be the answer to blocking the political texts. After installing it up with the recommended settings I could no longer text anyone. You have to make it the default app for phone, sms, text, etc. I could receive texts from people in my contacts but I couldn't compose and send texts with it as the default. It would lock my phone up. I had no choice but to uninstall it.

The user-interface is unusable for me. There is NO dark mode UI. There should be one and it should automatically detect the system UI settings and match them. Also, the fonts are WAY TOO small and if there is a way to change that I couldn't find it. I was totally unable to navigate the app and promptly deleted it. Trend Micro consistently pays little or no attention to usability considerations for the visually impaired. This has been the case for their desktop apps for YEARS.

So far the app seems to work ok and I like most of the features. They are trying out a new "second phone number" tool. You have to verify your current, personal (network) phone number and they will issue you a 2nd one for junk calls and texts. I can not get the dumb thing to verify my personal number for anything. Even though it is currently being monitored by the same app. Very frustrating.

it does what it says! I've been receiving alot of unknown text messages from everywhere and it's blocking all of them except those from my contacts. It was very very annoying!!! The only thing that is wrong with this app is you have to switch from messaging default to TW check default when sending messages or the other way around. Thanks for the APP guys and keep up the good work 👍👍

This might be the best thing ever but there are some functional issues. 1. Tiny text with no adjustability. 2. No way to mark numbers safe, that you allow. 3. Tapping send text just bumps unsent message to bottom. Have to hit send, twice. 4. Screen flickers when sending text. 5. Notifications for incoming are hit or miss. With the advent of sms spam at all time highs with no discernible app that blocks, there is a lot of money to be made in this space. Too bad TM missed the mark.

This app meets my basic needs for SMS filtering but it could be better with at least two enhancements: 1, and the most important) change the useless hide button for spam to "NOT spam" and 2) allow the user to designate the SMS filter page as the opening one. As to #1, I get shipment tracking or appointment reminder texts which are going into spam and it's much too easy to hit delete all when they are buried in a long list of real spam. It needs to remember they are not spam the next time.
