This app is ALMOST perfect, just one issue. I have 3 songs, All three have the same album name and artist, they show up as the same album on other apps, but on here they show up as 2 separate albums, which each have the same name and thumbnail, for some reason the third song does not appear with the other two and instead as a duplicate album with just that song in it, and shows as a separate artist, even though the three songs share the same album and album artist.

TBH, this is a pretty modern user interface! Kuddos to the developers for a job perfectly done. One thing I'd like to mention is give us the option to disable the wave effects. [UPDATE] I did see the option to disable but in the absence of no wavy visualizer leaves a blank bottom bar. Maybe just disabling it should make make whole thing go away all together.

Some important features are missing but i know the app is new so I'll give it 5 cause i like it overall and a great effort has been made. My problem is the queue list, it doesn't show the actual "shuffled" order, it shows the order as it appears in the playlist, so that if you have shuffle on & swipe the picture of the song it plays the next song in the "playlist order" while if u pressed the "next song" button it will play next song in the "shuffled order" i hope this gets fixed! Great effort!

You haven't given up on this app, have you? It's quite quaint, and I love the design and feel. My only concerns are the lyrics don't show up even after I put them in, myself, and I wish the rewind button came with options. I'm sure many like going back to the previous song, but I usually just want to restart the current song. If you could add that option, that would be wonderful!

would've given it a 5 star rating when I first got the app since it worked flawlessly, but it seems like it gets buggier with every update. my music freezes up or stops playing completely every 30 seconds and my queue clears every single time. the swipe to skip feature also bugs out a lot and causes issues with playing and the queue. bit of a shame since this app was my favorite among all the music players I've tried

I used this for five months and it was fine with a reasonable amount of ads. USE VLC AS AN ALTERNATIVE! The recent update is a total disaster: an extreme number of ads. Some are still pictures in a foreign (Chinese?) language that must be "cleared" manually before listening to content. How are you supposed to do that while you're driving???

This is a great music player. I have tried a lot of other music players but they always compromise on some features. But Nyx is great overall. Customisable now playing screen, tabs, to better accommodate phone size and usage. And the ability to edit track and change themes and color. (Would be 5 stars but I'm a bit picky. I would love more themes and colors, now playing screen customizability. Oh! And info editing has not been working for me lately. And your Feature Request doesn't work also.)

I love this app, but nowadays it has a real problem with making my music skip, specifically if I play a single song on repeat. It gets to the point where it's literally unplayable because it repeats the same second over and over with janky pauses and skipping. The stuff I did to make it stop doesn't work anymore so I don't know what to do except try a different music player.

It's okay. There are some cool features, but there are a lot of small things that are annoying. If you guys can make these changes, this would be my permanent music app. -The shuffle system is awful. When I pick a song from the song tab, it doesn't shuffle, even though it's enabled. -Should have the ability to delete songs directly from the Now Playing screen, like most other music apps. -The widget should be a LOT more customizable. Going with the grey buttons was a bad choice.

The UI is gorgeous and there's a decent amount of options. Love being able to customize and reorder the tabs up top. 2 deal breakers for me though: the folders are "linear" instead of hierarchical, so instead of having subfolders, you just see everything dumped out as separate ones. And then when you go into the full now playing screen, it always lags and messes with the playback. I do wish the navigation was a bit more smooth.

I do really love Nyx. The design is very awesome and fun and it's extremely easy to use and navigate. That said, the app almost never lets me save custom images for anythingβalbums, artists, individual songs, nothing. Even the auto-recommended images never saveβthey'll show up if I'm trying to edit, but never when I'm playing. It's just really annoying and makes everything just look really ugly. I don't want to have to go to my computer to manually edit every individual song.

The interface is amazing. Though I do have one or two issues with the app, it is nothing more then nick-picks. You sould be able to shuffle all your music under songs, and within it's notification, and be allowed to hide/show selected files. But besides that, it is easy to learn how to use, and easy to see what you have. Like I just figured out why I've been listening to the same five songs for seemly hours, duplicate files.

I quite like the UI, but the programming behind the app is obviously flawed and not so stable; the app stopped me from playing any kind of music after 10 minutes, plus if you try to delete the cache in the app it just completely restarts your full screen player (including even the theme). The UI on the other hand is unique to itself and applaudable, I'll just wait for the bugs to get fixed, hopefully.

Ive never written an app review...zero stars! This WAS the BEST music player-By far. Free, simple, feature rich, customizable, just plain good. But now it has video ads with audio that interrupt the music. That's bad enough, but then there's not even an easy way to skip them. And the one I saw kept playing and playing for over 45 seconds before I was able to quit the app... dunno how long it would've gone on. Talk about a hazard when driving- thabkfully I was on a road without traffic. DELETED!

Don't download this, ads are every moment! Don't even pay to get rid of them when it's like that, there are BETTER music players out there than this and they are ad free. Even the other apps with ads arent this bad and they have the same features. Seriously, why would you make it play video ads after a few actions over and over. That's why I'm deleting this app and you should too.

I understand adding ads if you need it but it's really annoying trying to select music since scrolling, pressing, or even going back into the app in any sort of way pops up an ad straight away and since the ad audio is always on, it disables the music and theres even a chance that an ad can pop up before you press any music you wanted to select thus forcing you to go straight into play store.

Really dissappointed with the new ads put in place. I spent my $5 for the premium a couple years ago, and now they expect me to dish out more money for no ads? They should have at the very least gave premium members no ads. Still I can't complain about the way the app works and handles but, if you don't feel like paying for no ads there is better (free) options.

I've used this app for over a year now, but the recent update has made the app extremely laggy for some reason. It's nearly crashed on me just from scrolling for no longer than a second. It's a good app but, there have been times where I can't even play music without it stopping randomly for some reason. And now it feels like it's doubled with the recent update.

It is a shame really, this app is so close to the perfect music player. The monetization method chosen by the developers has ruined the app. I understand banner ads or having a premium version, but instead, ads have been inserted any time you change menus, such as to pick a different song. You will get autoplaying ads that will play the ad music over your already playing music. This is horrible choice and prompted an uninstall instead of exploring premium or paid versions of the app.

LOVE THIS APP. But an update just came out and now my music keeps pausing involuntarily and it's really annoying. I'm going to have to use a different app until there's a bug fix. Otherwise, this app is so pretty and intuitive, and (usually, for years) works perfectly for what I need. UPDATE: They fixed the issue in a week!!! So happy! Like I said, I love this app.
