The app listing says it's compatible with the Partybox On-The-Go speakers but it doesn't connect and it's not on the list of compatible devices inside the app. This is a $350 speaker that's currently for sale at most major retailers like Best Buy and Target. There should be an app that lets me control things like the equalizer and lights.

The app has been great for about a year. But now the app has issues finding my party box 310 that is playing my music making it hard to disable any equalizer, bass or light effects that are happening because the app fights the button inputs of the speaker. For a $500 speaker and a free app I would suggest forget the app and go with the speaker, IT WILL BE MORE CONVENIENT THEN USING BOTH!

Nothing special. Giving an app 5 stars simply because it "works like it's supposed to" isn't something I'd do. It's able to pick up my Party box 310 just fine. The options for the LED lights lack luster. Very basic. The overall view of the app is nothing to brag about. It works well for me. But once again nothing crazy to be excited about. If they had the option to pick your own colors for the effects and have it be set like that.. I'd probably up it to 4 stars.

1.55.10 fw update to PartyBox 310 seems to have affected audio processing for PartyBox 310's daisy chain input (previously much cleaner sounding than actual aux in) to be more like aux in sound. Less bass pressure and extension, punchier quicker fade. It's no longer visceral. Still better than using aux in, but I much preferred previous sound. I'll take the "bugs" and old "performance" back, but no way to downgrade I know of. :-( App requires blind updates for usage.

I got an update from Samsung in December and now the app can't see the speaker even though it's paired and plays audio. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, reset the speaker, rebooted the phone, dropped and re-paired the speaker. I paired it with my Galaxy tablet and the app works fine so I thinks it's a software issue with my phone. App version is 3.4.0. Android version 13. My working tablet is Andriod version 12.

Very easy interface and twinning technology is a wonderful change. Big fan of JBL, I would like some download able content like some more special effects. Edit, the new update now allows app power on and twinning. Now I can have my speakers anywhere, for the best sound. Now I would just like the option for two light colors, of my choosing, to strobe. Like red and green, or any combo. It could match team colors or organization colors.

Stopped working. Tried installing and reinstalling and still doesn't work. Finds my partybox but just says "getting ready" forever. JBL partybox encore essential. Even did a hard reset on the partybox by pressing light and play for 10 seconds. Still doesn't connect to the app just finds the party box and says "getting ready". So annoying...

DO NOT UPDATE!!!!!! The app was great, but after updating it, the sound of my party box 310 became muffled and weird. Out of the box, the speaker sounded very clear, loud, and crisp. I wish I hadn't done that. I hope there is a way to go back to the old firmware (I tried to hard reset the speaker, and it didn't work). If there is a way, please let me know, and I will change this review.

Just get a 310! This app is honestly very good, took less than 5 seconds to find my speaker and connect to it. All the features are awesome too! All the light options are great and I like how you can turn the strobe lights off now. You can control pretty much everything right from the app the only thing I would like to see added is the ability to turn the speaker on and off from the app as well. Other then that this app is awesome! the party box 310 is all around better than the 300

For the party box essential, the light options are all super frenetic when you have music on. They need to chill tf out. Needs more customization options for colors— you can pick one, but it picks the other for you. So no red and yellow is possible, only green and yellow, orange and pink, or red and indigo. Real weird. Equalizer and bass options are great, however.

SAMSUNG A32 5G/JBL Partybox 310- The app has trouble connecting 50% of the time. It often leaves me in "Searching for product" limbo. I have to restart it a couple of times before it connects. Another issue I have with it is, that it constantly has to reconnect after minimizing the app (not closing it). Also, would be nice to have an Power ON/OFF function. Overall, when it does connect, the app works fine.

Excellent and easy to use app. One downside is that there are no additional light options and no static/solid light option. Sometimes it would be nice to have a solid color that isn't flashing or moving all of the place. Also, the EQ is a 3 band, while better than nothing, it's not impossible to make it more comprehensive. Not sure why they don't offer an advanced mode. These speakers do range from 500$ CAD to 1500$ CAD, after all.

Pretty good app with decent options, most are just the basics which is fine. I hope that in the future you could adjust the opacity of the lights to make them less bright if you just want to use them in a room or whatever. Also there needs to be an option to turn on the speaker with the app. Might be impossible but would be really useful.

It used to work now it doesn't. I guess they updated the app. Now when I open it it's looks like it's connected and show me the battery of the speaker. However it's ask you to tap to connect to speaker. When you tap it nothing happens. Edit I made it work. I went to phone setting, apps and Jbl partybox. Then cleared cache and data then uninstalled the app. Reinstalled app and it finally works again. Hope this help for others!

Note: My review is based solely on the features that I use. The app does a great job controlling the Partybox features that I use. What I like most is that as long as I'm within range of the speaker, I can put the speaker in and out of standby mode. (I can turn it on and off) I don't often use the lights on my Partybox, but being able to turn the lights on and off, change the colors, and tweak the settings fits my needs. The audio settings are basic and that's all I need. Great for my use!!

For the people having trouble with the app being stuck on "getting ready" it's due to the fact your phone is running android version 13 and higher. In order to fix this issue, use a phone that isn't running android version 13 or higher, like an iPhone or older android phone, and update the speakers firmware. Once you have done that, the speaker should pair properly with the app and everything should work fine. It's a shame that we even have to do this in the first place but, problem solved.

Bluetooth Connects. Can play music......recognizes it as Party Box 310, app says "getting ready" and then never loads. Keeps saying "tap to connect", even though it is obviously playing music through Bluetooth connection. Completely asinine.....did several resets, nothing. It even shows: JBL PARTY BOX 310 and the percentage of charge that battery has. App is a joke. Edited: Doesn't work on current version of Android. Full features only available on old android

Amazing sound from the PartyBox 710 paired with the app. The equalizer helps make the sound even better. I downgraded to 3 stars because the app has been glitchy as of late. I have to go into my phone connections setting sometimes to connect BT manually since the app won't load until I do. The app also loads sometimes but doesn't display the equalizer until I close the app completely and go back in.

Was excellent, then one day it won't sync/recognize or interact with my Partybox 310s. I've un-installed/installed cleared cache, unpaired/paired, etc. It's inconvenient to put both speakers side by side to sync each time I want to listen in stereo since they're spaced 20+ feet apart. The only solution is to have another person at the other speaker to sync both up for stereo mode until the app starts working properly again. Who knows when that'll be...

Works pretty good but some bugs. Serious bug when using different screen for a while, doesn't reconnect to app. Have to turn off device and disconnect. Also doesn't say artist or track in now playing. User interface could use some cleanup, like volume and song control should be at the top instead of lights. Needs ability to store presents for different music as well.
