I played the original all the time 15 years ago in the early days of Android. It was great. This version is unplayable because of the intrusive ads and the gameplay itself isn't nearly as good as the original. Uninstalled forever.

Fun, although a bit of frustrating at times. Quite often I have to retry many, many times just to make things work. If that failed, then there are always YouTube guides. That being said, level 83 has a bug, that caused it near or downright impossible to 3-star. On the second area, the contraption moves left, where it should've been moved right. This makes it also impossible for me to 5-star. Has Google Play Achievements with decent exp and cloudsave, for those interested.

Was very excited to find this game, loved and still play the original, but the controls are very sloppy and intermittent. Many taps do nothing then suddenly report 5 taps at once. The "3d" geometry levels are very frustrating to try and find the actual weak spot of the castle. Like the updated graphics, but that's about it. Stick to the original.

WAY TO MANY ADS!!! You have to purchase the coins to upgrade anything in this game, when you want to watch ads to receive coins, it doesn't work, and you never earn coins after completing a level. What a waste, this game is only made to take your money just for a simple and boring game. Don't recommend you waste your valuable time on this game, I sure do regret wasting my own time.

Enjoyable and simple. Gave up on the hook round because it needs an unrealistic level of accuracy on what you needed to grab. My issue is, for some reason each round requires you to zoom out with two hands which is unnecessary. Start zoomed out so i can just start playing with one... I ummm need the other one for.... Other stuff

Graphics are great, animation is great, controls play TERRIBLY! It says to Tap to Start Aiming, then will not allow you to aim or fire until it has highlighted the enemies, then after you wait an indeterminate time. During this time you tap and tap and misfire and have to wait again to fire again. I really want to like this game, but it let me down.

Devs need to listen to the reviews. You shouldn't have to zoom out at the start of every level to see the target. And a single tap far too often registers as trying to move the camera, so you have to tap over and over again to fire. I appreciate that the levels are thoughtfully designed and there are fewer ads than Angry Birds.

The game looks great, beautiful graphics. The design is excellent. BUT... Touch sensitivity remains too inconsistent when aiming & launching - & you often tap many times before it launches, so much that when it does, you don't get response anything like you should. I can see MANY giving up on the game quickly because it just doesn't operate correctly. I have an S9Plus, I have ZERO issues with sensitivity - if anything my phone is too sensitive, and the game just plain hangs!

This is an excellent reimagining of the original on Armor Games website. Fun graphics, great physics, good sound. Controls (tapping) can seem unresponsive at times. Also, it'd be nice to see the number if screen taps to restart a level get down to 1 (currently 3 or 4). With those two things fixed, I'd rate 5 stars.

The game sets up rube Goldberg machine situations that don't actually work unless you attempt the level many times. It can be really frustrating, but is also quite fun and entertaining when you hit the right weak spot. Overall the game is enjoyable. I just hope the physics continue to get improved. Often I'll hit the same spot and nothing will happen, then the next attempt it hits and makes everything fall down!

Although the game is challenging, as it should be, there are things that could be more rewarding. Such as: the anchors could grab things more deeply or scrape things as it goes by. And when the bombs go off they should explode things around it, not just a tiny piece of something it touches. As far as the tap anywhere to launch issue others have mentioned, FYI I discovered if I barely tap "lightly", thats the key. 😉

Armor Games, why aren't you listening to your reviewers? The "tap anywhere to aim" is a SERIOUS issue. Viewing the castle needs to be assigned to a button and completely disassociated with the aim function. The "tap anywhere" fires the trebuchet like 1/2 the time on some levels, and the rest of the time it toggles the view to the castle. EDIT: This review just went from 2 stars to 1. I installed the new update... Its WORSE. 29 taps is my frustrating count to get the trebuchet to fire. 29 TAPS!!!

Hook = garbage pos. I love these games but unfortunately this one requires the "finding one exact angle with one weapon and nothing else will finish the level" method on every single level which really take 99% of the fun out of it. I'll spend $ on a game that allows more than 1 solution. Also the tap location seems to randomly move at the start of a level, making it difficult to launch projectiles sometimes.

Fun game but touching the screen to launch the projectiles doesn't seem to work as it should. Although it says tap anywhere, it seems like you have to find the right spot to touch in order for the catapult to start moving! I'd love to play more, however, this issue is preventing me from continuing to use the app. Plz fix as this is very annoying.

Fantastic physics game, much more respectable microtransaction system and overall game design than most other mobile games. While some levels can be quite annoying at times, the rest of the levels in the game are quite well designed and far outshine the negatives. A lot of effort is clearly put into each level and I highly recommend anyone give this game a try.

More like 3.5 stars. Touching the screen to throw your projectile is touchy and half of the time it doesn't work. I find myself constantly smashing finger on the screen to start the launch and nothing happens. This is basically how the whole game is. Lots of small things that need to be worked out and if so the game would be much better. I enjoy it, for a few minutes, then I grow tired of the spotty gameplay or annoyingly over challenging level.

Even if you find the exact right way to finish a level, which is far too precise half the time for a game like this, sometimes things just fall differently and you still miss out on 3 stars. It's probably not hard to simply beat every level in some capacity, but 3 stars is nigh impossible on some levels. You don't get 3 stars as a reward for playing well, you get it by sheer luck or by using power ups which should not be required, especially since they are RANDOM

It's a good game, but there is a somewhat CRIPPLING aspect of the game. The game is presented to you as 2 dimensional, but in some of the levels enemies are in (what I call) different layers of the level, meaning if something doesn't fall on them like it is was supposed to, you can't kill them no matter what, since you can't aim anywhere else except on one layer.

Addicting but insanely difficult on some levels, requiring multiple, perfectly aimed shots in order to succeed. There is also a rather frustrating bug in the controls (I have emailed the developers) that makes aiming a chore quite often. Other than that, the game is very well made with great graphics, animation, and sound. Yes, it becomes a typical "pay to win" or "repeat the level ad nauseum until you're perfect" mobile game in the later levels, but still enjoyable.

The destruction physics are great, I absolutely love watching the castles crumble to the ground. What gets frustrating is that you usually have attempt each level multiple times to get a 3 star score. Those grappling hooks drove me insane. I bowed out at about level 45. Fun & challenging game but there's no weapon selection, no story. Just destroy castles and move on & that wears thin after awhile. 4/5!!
