More About Beholder

Welcome to a grim dystopian future.
"The way Beholder has you trying to balance the moral tight rope is quite smart and definitely makes for interesting playthroughs and decisions." ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Toucharcade

Featured in CNET's Best Mobile Games of 2017

A totalitarian State controls every aspect of private and public life. Laws are oppressive. Surveillance is total. Privacy is dead. You are the State-installed manager of an apartment building. Your daily routine involves making the building a sweet spot for tenants, who will come and go.

However, that is simply a facade that hides your real mission.

The State has appointed you to SPY ON YOUR TENANTS! Your primary task is to covertly watch your tenants and eavesdrop on their conversations. You must BUG their apartments while they're away, SEARCH their belongings for whatever can threaten the authority of the State, and PROFILE them for your superiors. You must also REPORT anyone capable of violating the laws or plotting subversive activities against the State to the authorities.

Beholder is all about making choices - choices that matter!
What will you do with the information you collect? Will you report the suspicious activities of a father and orphan his children? Or will you withhold the details about his illegal activities and give him a chance to make things right? You may also choose to blackmail him to acquire the money your family desperately needs.

Features:

You decide what happens: Every decision you make affects the way the story unfolds.

People aren't just objects: Each character you meet will have a thoroughly developed personality with his or her own past and present.

No decision is easy: If you are given the power to destroy the privacy of another person, should you? Or should you treat those on which you are spying the way they deserve?

You don't know where you'll end up: "Beholder" is a game of multiple endings.

"Blissful Sleep" additional story is already available!**

The Ministry of Introductions is honored to introduce Hector, the ex-landlord succeeded by Carl Shteyn. The time has come to tell the stories of:

The one who has fallen a victim to a horrifying mistake, and is now desperately seeking for salvation;

The ones who broke the law to find happiness and are now facing the consequences;

The one who risked his life for the State but has been left behind;

The one who had everything but lost it all;

The one who mews!

Return to Krushvice 6 and serve the State and Wise Leader well!

I've never paid for a game.. And im happy i paid for this one, the game is great and its interesting... But the game is slow... The characters lag when their moving and its annoying.. I would appreciate it if i got some advice on how to fix this. New: Got a new phone, decided to download it. Still as laggy as the last time I commented.

Just like many who play this game, I couldn't even get through the tutorial because if you tap the screen it brings up the NPC menu which should only come up when you tap and hold. This bug has not been fixed for half a year and makes the game absolutely unplayable and down right disappointing. Don't waste your time or money!

I hate mobile "games". Most of them arent real games they are microtransaction ridden garbage designed to suck money out of your wallet and make you watch ads. Beholder isnt one of those. Its a rarity. A real game, on mobile. Pay the $5, have a real game - no ads, no mtx. Its like This War of Mine crossed with Papers Please. Im loving it so far. Thanks to Nikita Ordynskiy for making a short film based on the game. I watched it and was intrigued enough to buy the game. Im glad I did.

The balance of earning enough to save Martha and pay for school and then bills and the amount of "jobs" per rent. have to steal to sell items but to not be able to do so in time. In addition waiting for renters to do illegal activity vs planting illegal items. a lot is waiting to see and reporting. because of this I'm stopped playing. some forums say delay till you have enough but those are timed...I eventually lost everyone, committed suicide, lol sucky ending.

I'm so disappointed! 😔 I've been watching videos and playthrough about this game online for ages, dreaming of the moment I would have been able to buy it. When I finally could, I didn't even bother reading the reviews since I knew the game... I regret it to say the least. IT DOESN'T WORK! I can't even start the tutorial because it's impossible to click on anything. Every time I try to interact with an object or go to a different room, the phone interaction comes up and that's it. Please fix it!

I enjoy playing this game. Theres different ways to play. At the same time, it shows the social strain, and the mystery an overly controlling goverment, that only care for higher ups and the tramed masses. I've thought that a few more missions would mix things up a little. Maybe an extended basement connected by the office. A sub basement for the "new tomorrow" group to use as a base. Maybe the attic can be used as a make shift, temp orphanage.

Very good game in an interesting genre I didn't dabble to much in until now. I like the world building, the distopian harshness combined with the right amount of absurdity (banning blue ties a.e.) it takes trial and error to figure out how to solve certain problems and after two months of playing (and avoid looking solutions up) I still feel like there is more to discover and maybe I can get one playthrough without anyone of my family dying?!

This game is exceptional! Im a big fan of the dystopian genre, The nods in this game to the likes of 1984, Stalinist rule and authoritarian surveillance states is top notch. The art and design of the game play are done exceeding well, coupled with the eerie sound design make Beholder a fantastic game. I feel like it could be a little bit longer and maybe have a few more tenants but I'm on my 4th play through and still loving it. Well done to the Devs's I think you have made a master piece.

How is it that only now I'm finding this game, it's absolutely brilliant. Technical side - it's well polished and easy to pick up, haven't encountered any bugs yet. It does drain battery like crazy, but oh well. The gameplay is so fun and immersive, that I'm just lost in it for hours on end. My first playthrough I'm going with lawful evil - a devotee to the State. That means I'm drowning in money, which reduces the challenge. But my next playthrough I'll try to actually make moral decisions.

Hard game to play but managed to finish it in a few hours on easy with the happy ending. The game is all about making choices and spying on people. A tip for anyone reading: easiest way to make money is to find something illegal in their apt. then blackmail them. Once you are over the main hurdles of the daughters treatment, the rest is relatively smooth sailing. Good game, hard but fun and unique in its execution!

The game is fantastic. Set in a 1984-ish world, it is really immersive. One problem I face is regarding saves, sometimes I'm more than half an hour in but then a bug occurs that the police doesn't go away, when I load I've just lost all my progress because there isn't a way of saving the game manually (saving to google cloud does nothing).

Love the game, first run was rough not knowing what to expect, became much easier after trial and error. Tip to amass funds for the best ending is don't rush, try to delay family quests to buy more time, collect contraband to blackmail tenants is the way to get money fast, and as time passes more items are prohibited equals more profit. I pretty much cruised through paying everything without problem, plant contraband, steal them right back, bribe cops with rep points, blackmail, win. :)

Absolutely obsessed with this game. I have a relatively short attention span, and almost never replay games that I've completed. That being said, I'm on replay #5 of Beholder! There's so much to do, and every choice gives you a different outcome. You can play this game for weeks or months (like I have) and never get bored. The DLC is incredible as well! Love how in-depth it goes into the families living in the building. You won't regret getting this game!!

Wow!!! Love Beholder, so interesting and creative that I catch myself playing hours on end. After the free version I purchased the full game... What's nice is after finishing, seeing the credits roll, I was able to go back and open one of the save points thus allowing me to make different choices. That caused a whole other direction for the game to take. Can't wait to begin 'Blissful Sleep' next!!! 😊👍

Absolutely loved the free trial of this game - played it nonstop. Spent money and bought the full version, played it for a good while as well. Deleted it for space a while back, then just now came back to it - again, SO excited to play it nonstop. However, can't do anything on it. After it loads to the menu, I cant start a new game, I cant load any old cloud saves, nothing. Very disappointed... this was one of my favorites.

10/10 I would recommend this to anyone who asks. Very good plot and story, and original as well. Itgets a little dark but that's to be expected. I have Play Pass but in my opinion this game is worth the download paying full price. My one issue is that the save mechanic is weird and doesn't work— I even saved it to my google play account but if I left the game, it would have me redo some or all of the story that I've completed depending on how far I got. Fix that, and this is a five star game.

This is just a must have in your play store library! The gameplay is 10/10,storyline is great, and graphics are stunning.Even though this game is great, I feel that this game has more potential. For instance I wish you can add a sandbox or endless mode after you beat the game and get random generated tentants. I know this game is story driven but it's just an idea. Overall I recommend everyone to play this game and you will not regret it. :^)

Very interesting, constantly grabs at your attention. You'll be working hard barely completing a goal, only to be hit with twist after twist. The tutorial is a bit confusing however. Nothing is lacking, it just throws you straight into the story while teaching you things. This might be a bit overwhelming, and definitely requires players to start writing down people's names to figure out who's who while also learning the mechanics. Physically had to stop myself after playing this game for 4 hours

I have this as part of the play pass, but I think it would be worth buying; it's actually a fully fleshed-out game unlike a lot of the stuff you see on mobile. I expected it to be more fast and tense like a resource-managment style game, but it's not thankfully! it's slow and steady. From what I've seen in my couple hours of playtime, you get multiple chances of fixing things, but you can also easily take away those chances by your other actions; it feels very well thought out.

Well, its a bit trippy and odd since your like a commi spy landlord keeping tabs on the tenants in your building. Its a strange idea, it looks good and plays well so it moves along nicely. Theres an evil feel to the game that makes you want to play it through. I think its pretty chill for only $5 so the price is right. I think its kinda crazy but it is interesting. I got a terrible ending on hard mode, Im not sure if I will play it through again.
